The basilosaur is definitely missing from this list. Being immune to jellyfish and other stunning underwater Dino’s and being able to take on a Leedsichthys with relative ease all while passively producing oil. Also protects rider from freezing to death under water.
I think that's mostly due to the water world of ark is lacking, and there's very rarely a reason to go underwater. I agree though, it makes underwater caves very easy
Dude I wanna play too but idk how to even get properly started. I don’t wanna load in and get torn apart by vets everyday. I want a tribe of chill dudes I can play with.
I really like how you ask the community and your fans, instead of being completely ones own opinion, I seriously believe you are the best most informative and fun ark channel
The snow owl is by far the best flyer for pure travel. It's really fast, and it turns on a dime Its vision and healing abilities are pretty awesome additions to it to.
With the snow owls being so common on the new fjordur map i thought it was just going to be like a mountain pteranodon but after watching this i realize i really should head back to the mountains and grab one.
@@plazma6826 it's really fast and with the ability to be able to hold tools and weapons on top of it it's a really good flying mount for when you're PvPing or getting wyvern eggs or just traveling, but it doesn't have that good stamina so you have to constantly land, weight isn't really that good either, and it's just extremely annoying to tame. The snow owl has way more abilities and better mid air agility, stamina and weight.
I did not know that the otter had a special ability! I just thought it’s power was cuteness. And I’ve just been spamming health on my brother’s and my server so it can be a tank but I should’ve just spammed melee damage
The reaper is extremly strong, but when you look at it, it doesnt actually have a lot of special abilities. Reduced damage, range attack and unique taming method is all its got. None of those are really something only it has (except the taming method)
Bloodstalker is also stupid fast under water, but is glitched in single player so you can only get it underwater by having it follow you under first. When it first came out the web range was insane, post nerf they are still pretty dang good. Love the video, I didn't know about the otter/artifact thing.
It helped me in the ocean so much once. I was on genesis part 1 and needed a mosa, no good levels were spawning and the ones that were spawned were not de spawning, and because they were x creatures, they were stupidly powerful. So I went on rag to the edge of the dessert in the ocean, were mosas spawn in a relatively shallow part of the ocean. And it was relatively light. I built a trap and knocked out a 145. I wanted a really good tame so I fed it narcotics and then speeded back to the highlights to kill ovases to get mutton. I then speeded back to the spot were the mosa was before it woke up. And was able to get back and forth due to how fast the bloodstalker was underwater. Unfortunately the mosa had already woken up due to how fast they lose torpor. Thankfully it was pretty easy to knock it out again and I fed it mutton and it was already starved. Thanks to the bloodstalker I could travel accross the map so fast, and because the mutton spoiled to fast I couldn’t take it with me originally. I’ll always thank the bloodstalker for getting me that mosa as I needed it for genesis badly.
The bloodstalker is way to overrated. The yuti is so much better and way more important providing the 25% buff. Actually helps you defeat bosses that you couldn’t defeat without the buff or loose way to many dinos doing so
I use to hate the val map back when I didn't really know what I was doing, because of those fluffy raptors. They run in packs and pin you down and make you bleed. Little did I know that your suppose to either trap them or range attack them
You can use a decent rex or, what I usually do is use a wyvern, to just wipe out all the deinonychus that are wandering around the nests, then take the eggs at your leisure
What about those bird things on lost island, you can parachute with them, glide with them and fly with them, also you can jump really high with them and they do sooo much damage to bugs, like arthros and mantises. It saved me sooo many times. Definitely the best shoulder pet for me. It also doesn’t stop they have a scream that scares all small creatures away and does damage to them. The thing is broken 😂 it’s always great to just fly away when a pack of raptors are eating you and to fly above a dire bear and shoot trans at it while flying to tame it
I tamed a woolly rhino, not really expecting much but a big cool tame. I was fucking DELIGHTED to discover they have the ability to charge at breakneck speeds. I love small things like that
Bro I'm surprised that the wyvern did not make it to the list I mean it's special ability is its breath and I thought wyvern would be on the list because of that
As if the Gacha wasn't no.1 x'D Feeding it plant Y traps which can be grown in bulk and the Gacha dropping crystals at every feed animation? The loot from a few gachas with a grinder would sustain a decent high end base in terms of resources.
Just got my first magmasaur, love cooking meat, making metal, and prepping gasoline all at once, as well as bringing absolutely HEAPS of metal, obsidian, crystal, stone, wood and alot more back to my tribe, (our magma has about 24K carry weight so we can cary absolutely TONS of stuff back, and have to go out for metal rarely it is kinda hard to scale mountains with however, but it has great stam and takes care of most weaker dinos without even attacking, they just get set ablaze by the searing spit charging, and it WRECKS brontos rexes pretty much anything you need magma has your back
The yuty is the best companion [Edit] i dont think most people know this, but the yuty has a pretty big knockback in its attacks, most of the time when im defending my base in the center, ice cave, i use the yuty to knock people's trikes, stegos, and even rexes back (i think the rex can get knocked back) to knock them off the edge and watch them fall over the cliff just outside the cave entrance
First time I was ever raided in ark was on the island by a blood stalker. I defended with shotgun but it scared the absolute piss out of me seeing that thing grab me and pull me in close
Was sure that the Maschops autofarm ability or the oviraptor's egg-stimulating ability would be in here. But man, I am still really early-game to be able to appreciate those.
Bruh what about the reaper king, can jump very far, fires poison balls at enemy, and can do a lethal spin attack while also being arguably the strongest creature in ark!
This just popped on my recommendation and ⟟ am so happy it did!! This is very useful. Thank you!! Gonna tame ⏃ few snow owls and move them to my main world (the island) ⟟ need ⏃ few more dinos that heal! 😊 Btw you just gained ⏃ new subscriber!!
I am absolutely certain that the creaters of Ark made the otter be able to carry artifacts as a nod to Naughty Dog's Jack and Daxter series. Daxter is a person who is turned into a Precursor, which turns out to be ferret/otter like creatures that build extreme technology! Awesome video!!!😌🥳
Hey if you don't already have it I want to see the top 10 underrated little guys. And the top 10 underutilized. I feel like horses are on both. Both pvp and pve I have soloed with a horse. Vultures, pegos, itchys, parasaur, etc. And like gachas. No one actually rides then but me. But they are actually really great utility mounts
I remember when the game first came out and you couldn't make it without an argy to fly your metal around. They really ought to add things to old dinos. They should all get some love by being more useful and versatile.
I bought this game for ps4 years ago, kept getting killed by creatures and players alike so I shelved it; though I liked it, I could never get anywhere. I recently downloaded it on my phone and have gotten the hang of it more through the single player. I can't wait to get back on a console or pc again to experience this game fully. Having a blast with the mobile, but it may be because I decided to start offline this time.
So shadow manes, can literally go invisible, get buffs when touching water, high swim speed, ridiculous dps, high land traversal speed no need for saddle yet still have armor.. ahhh there’s so many good tames
Is the radiation inmunity of the Karkinos a new thing? I would swear it took radiation damage on my last Aberration playthrough (around 2-3 months ago), because of that we neeeded to use Spinos for the first drake eggs. Anyway great content, keep the hard work and enjoy a wonderful weekend.
I agree that the Blood Stalker is one of the most intriguing creatures added to act. Even if it's a little tedious to figure out how to use at first. There are some others that I was surprised to not see on the list but there're a ton of creatures in Ark and we can only include 10. There's what, like 160 now or something? Lol
he didnt mention the fact that you can swim with the bloodstalker faster than most other tames and reel jellyfish out of the water to their death for bio toxin also with the snow owl if you healing a dino press heal and dismount at the same time and run away then your owl will auto heal until its stam is gone so long as you dont get frozen too it can be quite helpful
It's worth noting also that the Bloodstalker will suck your blood if it's low while you're riding it. Although, it's smart enough to eat bloodpacks first, meaning you were never in real danger in the first place.
HERES A FACT I WISH I KNEW BEGIRE PLAYING. If u r ever in need of chitin caves are dangerous, go tk the desert biome of u have one on the map via mantis, arthro, scorpion, jug bugs. Hope I can help. Ask me anything I'll answer if I can
An otter, like most other shoulder pets, is also just generally good for carrying things that might be too heavy in _your_ inventory. really good at making metal shields lighter until you need to use them, so your carry weight isnt bogged down by a single item that weighs forty-five pounds.. I need a riot shield.
Raptors for Chitin from a Mantis. Can’t find any documentation for this. Mastercraft hatchet on arthro, 80-100 chitin, Raptor gets 70-85. Same hatchet on a Mantis gets 90-110, Raptor gets 180+. ?!?
They changed some stuff like today i was playing on my extintion and found some invisible thing i was like tf is this than and i found out its ROCK DRAKE and i could not belive
