What type of chenille yarn do you use stuff I have bought sheds a lot and hard to make magic ring. Great video❤❤❤

we use mainly bernat blanket and mainstays from walmart! sometimes when we use chenille we do a ch 2 and work our first row into the first chain, rather than make a magic ring. hope this helps :)

What state do you live in? Not sure some will sell for as much here near Kansas city.
@daisycrochet12
@daisycrochet12 3 месяца назад
Hi! We live in Canada, so all the prices are in Canadian dollars, which is likely why they seem a bit pricy to you. 😊

I’m 2hours south of KC KS here!! I am cutting off a few $$ of what I see on videos. Because I KNOW some of these thing will not sell for what some people are asking in bigger cities! Especially for me in podunk SEK and SWM!!

The low cost undermines the market. I could not even break even at your prices.
@daisycrochet12

our prices work great for us. we also have minimal business expenses so we don’t have an issue making profit. everyone is different though :)
@WitchyBishy
@WitchyBishy Месяц назад
@@daisycrochet12 it's not whether you can profit but what you're doing to the market? What happens when the grant runs out and you have to buy the materials on your own and people expect the same price point?
@daisycrochet12

@@WitchyBishy our grant already has run out, lol. and we did change our prices since then, but none of our customers noticed/cared. again, our prices work for us.

Do you feel that the smaller size amigurumi things sell better than the larger?
@daisycrochet12
@daisycrochet12 2 месяца назад
yes, things like our mini octopi typically sell better. with that being said, we like to bring things of a variety of different prices. it also depends on the market and the people who attend! 🤍

So, one thing I'm not seeing from this video, is a calculation of material cost + time involved. Most of these seem underpriced based on the yarn and time likely required. Are these actually profitable?
@daisycrochet12
@daisycrochet12 2 месяца назад
material cost and time are definitely how we come up with prices. luckily, we have been gifted a lot of yarn over the years and also received a combined $6000 dollars to put towards our business from a grant program in 2022. this makes material costs very minimal. we also only do markets in our small town, where people are unwilling to pay higher prices. also, our prices are in Canadian Dollars. hope this helps!!
@kaeldrarhiannon
@kaeldrarhiannon 2 месяца назад
@@daisycrochet12 but that means that the average crocheter watching this video wouldn't make a profit at all from these patterns. Most small business crocheters don't get free yarn and $6k in gifts for startup purposes. Idk it just seems a bit misleading to me..
