I would have had a hard time choosing only 10 flowers too. The struggle is real! Tip for next year’s Top 10… you can add a lot of value to your video by showing a picture of the flower/foliage you’re talking about as soon as you introduce it. (True, we can Google search the pictures but most people aren’t going to take the time to type in the names of the flowers, they’re just going to be annoyed that you didn’t put a picture up because that’s what everyone else does, and that’s what people are used to seeing.) Also, the names of the varieties are important to get right if people are to look up pictures…Zowie, not Wowie. Roseanne Brown, not Roxanne Brown. That aside, I enjoyed hearing your Top 10!

I guess I don't have the patience to watch if I can't see the flowers. I just don't remember what a bipolurum is and that was when you lost me. Really missed not seeing the flowers in the background. You were describing them beautifully and I love how you describe your flowers, but I needed to see them to know what you were talking about. And I can't remember what a bipolurum is and don't want to look it up so that I can continue to follow along. Sorry!

“Bupleurum”. That one is a tricky spelling! It should be pretty easy to find.
@NancyKierstead
@NancyKierstead Год назад
@@NicolesGardenNS with the greatest of respect, not trying to be snarky, but all you pointed out is that my voice to text doesn't know how to spell the name of the plant. The point is that I don't know what the plant is. Even the plants that I do know what she's talking about I still need to see them to comprehend what she's saying. She really miss the mark by not putting the pictures in the background. She put the pictures in the background when she unboxed three dozen boxes of corns and tubers and plants a few months ago. She really should have put them in the background for this video as well. Just my humble opinion. :)

@@NancyKierstead I hear you.. it's nice to see what she's talking about for sure. It's a filler plant with little yellow flowers on top. It's been on my list for months now. Much better to see. Oh! Lisa MARIE Ziegler, instead of Lias Mason Ziegler. That one does irk me because keeping your maiden name when you’re married is not just some name you got stuck with, it’s a choice and I’m sure that being from her generation and the south she’s probably gotten other push back about it. I don’t have a horse in this race, of course but I wonder if if affects who sponsors her when there’s a decent likelihood she’ll get the name wrong. Again, I love this channel and don’t mean these as insults. Just food for thought.

Great info in the video! And your hair is looking cute!! And the photos y'all chose to show are BEAUTIFUL!! I really LOVE that you're using the green screen!! But I gotta be honest- This time, there's some constructive criticism I think is important to share. Please take the following in the best way possible, I really do enjoy your channel very much! Even tho I love seeing the colorful flower farm pics, I first found myself wishing your green screen was showing the pics of each flower you were talking about. If you would've done that, I'm pretty sure I would've been able to stay on topic right there with you the whole time. Second, since the flowers you were talking about weren't being shown, here's what happened: I had to rely on my imagination to conjure up pictures of each flower. Luckily, I can do that. I'm familiar with ALL of them. Unluckily for this video, because my mind was wandering into my imagination as I conjured up what each flower you were speaking of looked like, I also kept on wandering into other flower subjects in my mind! So - that's when my brain would go off topic, essentially blocking out what you were saying. But that's on me! Call it A.D.D., Call it not having consumed enough coffee to fully follow a conversation yet, or call it whatever you want, but staying on topic with what you were saying in the vid without pictures, just wasn't happening for me. I think I only caught about 60% of what you said. The other 40% was me wandering off as I was "tiptoeing thru the tulips" with my own flower imagination. So all in all - I'm not complaining!! My own personal thought process on flowers during this video was a nice little excursion! I enjoyed myself very much! And just for the record, that's not my brain's normal procedure while watching videos. Podcasts - yes. Videos - no. Here's the thing- If this were a podcast, then this info was perfect. But with a video, my brain is relying on the visual stimulation of the subjects at hand. Maybe it's because I'm not a flower farmer that I need more visual stimulation to stay on topic? I dunno. I just thought I would let you know what was actually happening on my end during this vid. Otherwise, I thought the info I heard was full of good flower growing info. And as a home gardener, and long time viewer of your channel, I really do like you sharing this information. Thank You! ❤️
