The lifeboats from the Titanic were not all "crammed with passengers". In fact many of them were only filled to half their capacity. It's one of the main reasons so many people died in the disaster.
@@waqasahmed3115Partially right, see you’ve read up on this or watched the video. But many more lives could have been saved if filled to capacity. There was a design flaw introduced in the blockbuster movie on the regard. But there wasn’t enough ever to save all, yet more lives could’ve been saved.
(2:15) The Stanford Prison Experiment wasn't designed to explore the effects of imprisonment. It was designed to expose the result of individuals receiving unmitigated power and authority.
The horror of the sidewalk shadows of those atomic bomb victims is they are not shadows, but the remnants of cells of the items and people whose atoms were instantly split and destroyed. That is how deep the rabbit hole goes.
Its crazy that the Lipstick killer was actually innocent after 65 years of his life spent in prison and turns out the reporter was the one that wrote the lipstick on the mirror.
Wait a moment!!! In one countdown the photo of people with gasmasks is from 1953. from Japanese Island where people have to wear gas masks because of dangerous gases coming from volcano and in another you claim the photo is called "Pioneers defence" come on
I agree that this channel should more research & all. But sometimes the sources online could contain inaccurate information to. Also I remember the videos on the Titanic I saw while back. There’s a crew member who was supposed to be on the ship, didn’t for a reason I don’t remember. He had the key to the binoculars but forgot to give it to another crew member that’s gonna be on the Titanic. If they had access to the binoculars, the Titanic could’ve survived it’s unfortunate fate.
The shell shocked picture at number 9 #9 is actually “incorrect” sorry the man in the picture actually wasn’t shot in the neck a grenade/bomb had landed very close to him and it caused him to be “shell shocked” the expression is like being knocked out you go dizzy you are disoriented and your ears ring you can’t stand up or walk and you can’t hear properly it’s like echoey in your head so yeah that’s the correct explanation to this condition / expression
The Wildman suit : was in fact a bear deterent suit . back in the 1700's guns or other projectile weapons used to hunt bears took a bit of time to reload , and if the first shot didnt kill the bear , it would start the charge and attack its attacker , hence the suit . if the first gunman was being attacked , a second could reload and shoot again in hopes of eliminating the bear . its not creepy , its smart , ever seen the movie The Revenant ? prime example as to why the suits were needed for bear hunting . folks didnt usually hunt bears alone , so one or more people would have to wear these suits to protect themselves .
Near my aunts house as well! We went up to Estes Park to visit her and we got to go do the ghost tour there, learned a lot about all the things that happened there in history
Regarding Hiroshima, the situation was tragic yes, but Japan was so unwilling to surrender, they were training the civilians there to fight against invading American soldiers with sharpened bamboo sticks. How many would have died under those circumstances. Anyone who wants to learn more about this should go see the Oppenheimer movie.
My grandfather was a gard for the doctors who walked after the bomb dropped all died years after from exposure, my grandfather lived because he said he felt very dirt was high up enough in rank that he had his own shower. He told a crewman to throw out his uniform hell get a new one, then took a very, very long shower. Decades later found out that saved his life
@@peacefulone7929 They didn't have any, but they thought that bombing American territory would be enough to prove that THEY were the Supreme world power.
Honestly I didn't believe in ghosts but the house I ended up buying changed that. Once I cam home and I almost always lock garage door when I drove in the door opened like if someone was going to greet me. I can't leave objects on kitchen table it's wood in the mornings will find things on floor as thrown. My dogs won't even go into the kitchen.
Most folks don't believe in ghosts or the paranormal unless they have experienced it for themselves. It's easier to think that anyone who talks about believing in ghosts are crazy. I grew up in a haunted house as a kid and I most DEFINITELY KNOW that ghosts and paranormal activity is for real.
I do agree that there’s hoaxes & misidentification with paranormal stuff. But if you’ve seen a legit paranormal entity/event, you’d believe in a quick af. And you probably won’t be visiting that area where that paranormal event/entity took place any time soon.
I was in elementary school and watched The Challenger disaster. It's crazy how you can remember things like that. I was in elementary school and remember how devastating it was.
Yes.. And I remember my teacher.. bringing that huge T.V. on a rolling stand with a VHS or BETA machine and recording it 😮... Unbelievable that Christa Maculliff was going to be the first teacher in space.. I mis-spelled her name..R.I.P...all!
The poor buffalos , the amount of them so UNNECESSARYILY slaughtered is devastating, heartbreaking, & it truly makes my heart ACHE. I'm an omnivore, too, but seeing images like the INSANE skull mountain (I have at least 8 skulls in my tattoo art, either the focus or blended into the art), & the visual of the Hundreds of millions of them in #, to the 3 digit number... is so so tragic, it is one of those facts that has made it difficult for me to remain a meat eater. I just had to pause the video because I just realized I'm now 16:26 in and my mind is still hung up on that fact. I can't focus or retain anything else right now because of that. I'm going to take a break, get some ice cream, and try to not think on it anymore tonight.
In the Dyatlov Pass there were journals and photos that showed they were being followed for the last week or so and one womans last journal entry said "Now we know the snowmen exist." All but four had signs of trauma and one woman had her tongue removed while she was still alive.
The Professor must have been a Sadistic pr1(k. In the late 1960's forward, b oth the book and the movie, " Lord of The Flies." Has been a High School must read with discussions and essays. That was an apparently true story. A bunch of school boys whose plane went down on a deserted island. The boys soon separated into 2 groups. One group pretty much held it together whereas the other group turned savage marking their faces and bodies with mud and other things they found. There had been a boy chubbier than the rest that the savage group called, " Piggy." It didn't take long for the savage group to take that boy, kill him and eat him. Very shortly after that they were rescued. In the movie, the leader of the savage boys was a great actor the way he looked shocked, scared and ashamed. They'd been rescued just when boys from the good group were thinking of joining with the savage boys. And the book, " Huck Finn." Had been banned from schools. But it also became a mandatory read with discussions and essays. It could have turned out similar to the other book but the Black Slave that ran with Huck, totally engrained decent humanity to Huck. Though I believe the point of reading that book was to open students minds on racism, pretty much making the Black Slave a Saint. Jim. Both very good and meaningful stories for those of us who actually read the books.
My uncle was given electroshock therapy for depression and schizophrenia. It didn’t help. Well, guess it made him more docile, but it certainly didn’t make him anything close to normal.
My grandma, my mom, and I have all been raised here in Washington. I vaguely remember my grandma once telling me that she remembered the mount saint Hellens eruption, and all the ash falling down, although I can’t remember all of the details, because I was *very* young when she told me about it. My mom was born about 9 years following, my uncle 6 years, and my Aunt 3 years.
its been a good run with this channel, god speed for it. i remember watching yall in the peak and best videos. 2023 comes along and the channel still uploads frequently. just barely hits 100k now.
That's because the recent presenters aren't nearly as watchable as Danny or Rebecca. They also show the same lists under different titles and in different order way too often now.For example I'm about 10 minutes in and they've already shown the Stanford prison experiment twice which everyone already knows about anyway.
58:47 Just imagine the balls that Dorothy “Dot” Counts-Scoggins must have had when she went to Harding High School in 1957 (September 4), at just 15 yrs old! There was so much hatred and (I just read this) after the aggression became more physical each day, her parents had to pull her out after just 4 days. She said that she would only quit now that her family was targeted as well! I felt bad reading this, BUT a bit further in the article it said that she later went to another high school and had a pleasant time there! She graduated and did additional studies after that. She is 81 at this moment and I can not even begin to imagine how intense her life must have been. According to the article she eventually worked with neglected and abused kids. She is AMAZING!!
So I actually know what happened with the explosion in the Stanley Hotel, I went on a ghost tour and they said that the explosion was likely caused by the maid going into the room with a naked flame candle, and the gas lighting had a leak in that room, and the explosion was so powerful that she was flung quite a ways away, yet somehow still survived
ALL the lifeboats from the Titanic were not 'crammed' !! The first ones lowered down often only had a few people on board - as shown in any film about that night, and every book written on the topic - and were far less that 'full capacity'. Just part of the tragedy of that night : NOT enough lifeboats, for all on board, being the other one. Also, historians looking back mostly agree that dropping the bomb on Hiroshima brought an end to the war in Japan, otherwise, if it had gone on, many more people - on both sides - would have been killed, than were killed at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, combined. I think the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor also helped with that 'decision to bomb'.
Many of the titanic lifeboats were deployed less then half full… and even had they all been full they still would not have had enough they thought them unsightly.
Actually, you probably do have hauntingly, but you don't realise it. I've seen and spoken with spirits since childhood, and trust me, they are everywhere lol
It's strange how humans are. In ancient times, surgeries were performed without anesthesia, and the patient felt everything. Let's be grateful for the blessings we live in today. Just set limits to your desires, and you will find happiness.
11:40 - Is it a ghost, or just a kid with a sense of humor ? Tuck your arms tightly behind your back, comb your long hair over your face, and you'd look EXACTLY like this photo.
I heard they should have rammed head straight into the iceberg and not tried to go around it. And the story about the buffalos reminds me of the movie, Dances With Wolves. That movie made me very sad and angry.
Why is the same picture with the people wearing the gas masks used in one of your other videos I just watched- said it was on an island where the residenfs have to wear them.
I am curious; where did the big “snow slab go if it was responsible for these victim’s injuries on Mt. Everest? Why did it take them so many years to determine this, and not animals? Very curious.
There’s numerous factors on why it takes awhile for humans to be found. Also there’s still places that humans haven’t been to since the knowledge of those places have been lost to the years. The area of the Dyatlov Pass Incident, animals weren’t there & the Mansi people that lived there didn’t see the area as great importance either. Depending on the area, animals may not always be there year round.
25:03 I guess that avalanche made their bodies radioactive too. Oh yeah, and it pulled the tongue and eyes out of the one guy also. You kind of left that part out of the story. 🤨
Slightly confused at time stamp 6:45 there is an image you use to reference an island that is toxic because of sulfuric something of another and the exact same image is used again at time stamp 16:30 but this time referencing something related to Saint Petersburg a city in Russia....or am I mistaken?
regarding the amazon rainforest: once....i consider it an accidental fire that nature made...twice....its a pattern....how many corporations wanted that rainforest?
