It's actually really funny in a clever way! Each "tetsu" is a different kanji From the MHA Wiki: "His name is composed of the kanji for "iron" (鉄), "clear" (哲), "pierce" (徹), and an archaic kanji for "iron" (鐵). His name may be a joke mocking how similar he is to Eijiro Kirishima; his name sounds redundant, with each kanji being pronounced like the word for "iron" and he and his Quirk were formally introduced in quick succession and an identical situation to Eijiro."

I agree. I usually am not into anime as much as this. (I literally scream when it comes on) Because it also makes me feel happy for him to accomplish something. Also, I don't usually like main characters in anime generally because... In the first to second episode they suddenly accomplish so much power without the creator realizing how much power is put into the person in order for them to succeed at the full power. But in My Hero Academia, Midoriya tries his best in the past few episodes in order to have a quirk, which can be logically explained in real life (if we had quirks). Which gives much more people to watch it. :)

There’s another meaning of green then just a beginner. The term green with envy means that you are very jealous of someone, like how Midoriya was jealous of all his friends for having quirks. Deku’s eyes are also green referencing the common term “the green eyed monster”

Katsuki definitely takes my first place for favorite character. His attitude impacts on you easily. It can motivate you with hype and adrenaline with just hearing his voice, and it draws out your lust for action with intense expressions. Not to mention it sets a tone of humor and comedy when there's no need to be angry and Katsuki is just being Katsuki haha

I have to go with Kirishima. He's a character that's really broken out of his shell, no pun intended, and is someone that's coming into his own as a hero, not trying to spoil anything. From a kid that was timid and scared, to the present....#1 choice all day.

I'm personally in the camp of All For One being Deku's dad. I mean the series is littered with Star Wars references, and Vader being Luke's father is the most well-known SW reference you can make, even if you don't get the wording right. I mean Deku's dad is supposedly in America working, but (at least as far as I have gotten) there's no proof that this is true. We don't know how many quirks AFO has, he very well could have ones to slow or halt his aging and keep him alive (assuming it hasn't been passed down like OFA has been and we just don't know it yet) meaning he could have appeared to be Inko's age and they have a relationship. OFA could easily have a fire breathing quirk or some quirk to mess with Inko's memories and make her think he had one.

I don’t understand why hates on Deku so much. He has much to bring to the story when you think about it. Yes I get that he cries a lot but when you feel helpless that what you do . Over time you see him grow a back bone and become less of cry baby. I think personally he just really Sensitive and deals with anxiety a lot . I think he is a very relatable character in my opinion. He wants to be the best he can and be like everyone else to the point that it hurts him. He will do anything to prove that can be come something and I feel like most can understand that feeling. When someone gets frustrated the show different emotions and for Deku that is crying . I’m the same way when it comes to that .Deku also is very refreshing has a the protagonist because he is a very relatable character. He isn’t a weak crybaby he is someone who really cares . He will do anything in his power to do what is right.

What's really interesting is the fact that none of the heroes nor villain are afraid of him in a certain way. As stated before, he's constantly thinking and analyzing people and their quirks with countermeasures to combat them. Izuku even stated to Katsuki that the notebooks he wrote in (which was damaged and thrown out the window by our favorite bully) had a list of all the people he looked up to and their quirks (Katsuki's included). That statement should've made Katsuki and everyone in the class have a "oh crap" moment. Stain being the first villain to acknowledge how quickly Izuku learned of his quirk ability. When none of the pro heros had a clue or a means to combat it. This should've made Izuku not only a great hero, but also a very feared person to make an enemy out of. Basically making him somewhat a MHA Batman without some of the flaws.

the positive meaning that uraraka translated for deku - できる (dekiru) which means "can be done" .. or perhaps できるよ (dekiruyo) which means "i can do it"
