The villains in Digimons 1-3 were by far the best because they didn't have childish elements to their creation, they were dark and psychologically terrorizing.

Piedmon and Myotismon are still badass to this day

Aw man, I *loved* the D-Reaper so much. It seems like the most realistic depiction of a digital threat that also poses a major threat in the real world. It also carried a lot of dramatic weight with it, capturing Jeri and Calumon, and forcing the original Digital Monster coders back together to find a solution. It had some serious scope.

Oh, the memories. The first 4 seasons were a MASSIVE part of my childhood. I still remember how much it creeped me out as a kid when Piedmon was hunting everyone down and turning them into key chains one by one.

I wanted Piedmon, The Digmon Emperor and Myotismon to be on this list. I was not dissapointed

Etemon was one of my favorite, what a charismatic, funny and badass villain he was.

Myotismon was such a great villain, he had a great design, great theme, and damn he was hard to kill.

Piedmon is probably my favourite and the 2nd being Devimon. God, i love digimon.

Fun Fact: Derek Stephen Prince voiced three of the characters on the list - Beelzemon, Piedmon, and Digimon Kaiser/Emperor (Ken). Guess that guy has a thing for villains, morally complex characters, and redemption characters *gazes at Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu*.

Yep...Myotismon is perfect for number 1...he was SOO evil...he became a villain from season 1 to being the true bad guy in season 2.

Black WarGreymon was my favorite character. He wasn't around that long, but his character had more depth than most main characters had. The kind of soul searching and whatnot was missing from much of the series.

This was my childhood along with Pokemon.

I feel like D-Reaper should be higher on the list. it's simplicity in mindset made it scary. it fucked with their emotions: hell its humanoid form has similarities to Jerry (its hair and side ponytail; didnt even notice this for years til someone on youtube pointed it out). it made an empty doll that passed off as her for some episodes, it's lack of emotion being seen as Jerry being "broken" to a point Takoto admits his true feelings for her...but being a fake doll that only looks like Jerry, his words and feelings mean nothing to it; and the only response to his emotional speech is her reading off the nutrient facts on the back of the lunch box. just a _teensy_ bit unsettling. you couldn't reason with it. you couldn't change it's mind no matter how much you kept trying to prove it's view about humans was wrong. it messed with Jerry's emotions, feeding on her despair and thereby prolonging her grief from losing Leomon, forced her to remember the loss of her mother and capitalizing on her hidden fears of being alone, her loved ones taken away from her too soon when she could do nothing to prevent or stop it. and this started by Beelzemon's hand no less; whom by the way is the only one to kill off a main character. granted Leomon showed up later in the season, but he became part of the main cast, so I feel Beelzemon should've been a little higher on the list for that as well. that and his action made a big impact afterwards, _on _*_everyone there_*_, including himself_ . not for one episode of angst or mild sadness that could be erased with a few uplifting words, but for the remainder of the season, which still had more than 10 episodes to go at that point. I agree on number 1 being myotismon. poor oekalwa, I always cried with him at the end; his life long dream was to go to the digital world...and while he so close to achieving it, he never gets to physically transverse through it like the other digidestined. ever. the Dark Masters pushed the team to it's limits, but Piedmon actually whittled them down to the two youngest kids and came so close to beating everyone for real. later against apocolomon I'd like to think their tags and crests acted as backup storage, storing the data, memory, etc of each individual and their respective partner and all their digivolutions, including what each kid represented. in effect the kids were in the trash, but like some corrupted (infected) files, they reappeared, restored where they last were no matter how times you try to delete it.

Myotismon is pretty much the one behind the whole crisis from season 2 of Digimon Adventures. Ken/Digimon emperor was manipulated by Arukenimon who was created by Oikawa who in turn was manipulated by Myotismon. I haven't seen the show since I was a kid but that's what I remembered.

Ken was the Hitler of the digimon universe.

Etemon man .. he was just something else man. He was not only a comedic villain but he was almost a schizophrenic psychopath man. He definitely deserves to be number 2 only under Piedmon and Myotismon on number 3. Piedmon with the puppetguy were truly scary back in the time for a child like me at the time I watched it.

Myotismon may not have been the most powerful, but I agree with him as number one villain. He has a mix of style, cunning, and he's capable and willing to do his own work at times.

Beelzemon being on this list is pretty funny since he's been a good guy in Digimon works far, far more often than being evil. Like, if the Seven Great Demon Lords show up somewhere, there's an excellent chance Beelzemon is gonna switch sides at some point.

It's beyond me how I missed out on this video for so long, having fallen in love with Digimon since I first came across it and being addicted to WatchMojo top ten videos.

BlackWarGreymon and Beelzemon are my favorite characters in the whole series.

I love Digimon and some of the Antagonists were pretty tight. I think Kurata(Data Squad) and The D-Reaper(Tamers) needed to be a bit higher because how much they were a threat to both worlds. I can't say More to #1 and Daemon even though he was not shown as much, but even #1 was afraid of him.

Blackwargreymon was/is a real badass. He was the best antagonist of the series. Great character development during the story and the (decent) "dark warior" design makes him look unique 😎

What made Myotismon truly merciless was his possession of Yukio Oikawa. He ruthlessly took over and manipulated a grieving man and turned him into little more than a slave, causing all sorts of havoc across both worlds, all the while unknowing of the dark force that caused him to commit the following acts of cruelty: 1. Manipulating Ken following his brother's demise. 2. Child abduction. 3. Blatantly breaking the barriers between of plains of existence. 4. Murder. 5. Torture. 6. Declaring war. And so much more. The fact that Oikawa was taken advantage of is what really irks me. Grieving and depressed people are the most vulnerable and easiest to control. Myotismon took a vulnerable person and made him commit a laundry list of atrocities for the digital Dracula's own insane ambitions, tossing him out like trash when he was done with him.

My favorite Digimon TV shows are Adventure 1 (Digimon Season 1) and Adventure 2 (Digimon Season 2). I never cared much for the later Digimon shows.

I honestly feel Ken and Kurata's placements should be switched. Ken didn't realize he was hurting living creatures, as he thought the Digital World was a game. Kurata, on the other hand, knew full well that the Digimon were sentient beings, and knowingly committed Digital Genocide out of his own bigoted fears.

And theres people that still believe Digimon is a rip off of Pokemon, Digimon is far better

My favorite of the Dark Masters is always Puppetmon. (rather his version that used guns, was more evil) Hmm. Guess it is acceptable Myositmon is #1, seeing he came back more times than any other major villain. But for evil, I like the cliche in name & meaning of Lucemon taking from Lucifur. Both a fallen angel.

The scene of MaloMyotismon torturing Arukenimon and Mummymon traumatised me as a kid and even watching it as an adult that scene is still fucking brutal.

I think myotismon is about as evil as Megatron, Vilgax, Lord Zedd, Dr Wily, emperor Palbetene and the joker combined

Kurata to me in the best villain in the entire franchise, that guy was just pure nuts. He literally killed Digimon and took down some of the most powerful ones at that, put a bomb necklace around Thomas's sister's neck just to make Thomas cooperate with him. At the end he even almost caused the destruction of both worlds by ripping a hole through the space-time continuum. He really proved why us humans are the worst type of monsters in the universe.

I remember the battle with VenomMyotismon, that was epic, not to mention the first time humans had seen a Digimon battle on that scale. Hell, I still remember the time Matt's dad met Garurumon (I am sure I butchered the spelling of Gabumon's champion level form), that was hilarious.

I felt really bad for Ken. He had to live in his brother's shadow and was the chosen one for Wormon and the crest of kindness until it was too late.

I think Diaboromon was done bad here by being an honourable mention, he flat out launched nukes at the kids, beat Wargreymom and Metalgarurumon and then Omnimon when he returned

Freaking loved Beelzemon when I was a kid. He made Impmon my choice of a Digimon partner when I'd imagine my own adventure.

As long as Etemon is in this list in some form or another, I'm pleased with it.
