Guys. Please allow a couple more seconds to lead into the drops. They don't hit nearly as hard when you completely cut out the entire buildup. Otherwise people aren't really catching where the beat is "dropping" *from* in the first place. At the same time, I don't agree with the GBB 2019 method of basically having the ENTIRE ROUND in the compilation, but even a few extra seconds wouldn't hurt. Edit: It seems like they cut out a lot more of the buildup in some drops but not others? Oy

I actually really like the GBB 2019 method actually. I didn't think they were too long or too short even though sometimes, yeah an entire round was slapped into the compilation but I still think they were just right. On a similar note, I also liked what they did with GBB online 2020 too.

Quarterfinals were the craziest for me, and Robin vs KBA as well. KBA was personally my favourite throughout the competition, besides Robin

I like how 3 of the drops came from the first semi final between KBA and Robin. KBA’s drop is well deserved at the first spot. But they forgot Kristóf’s second drop at the seeding round.

Somehow when I saw these before, I didn't realize exactly how KBA created them. Breaking them up into groups of syllables, then recording only the 1st syllables of the group, then only the 2nd, etc. was a creative way of doing it. Really cool!

I agree, but as a guy in the comments of a vid (forgot wich one i believe the resulta of KBA vs Robin) once said: KBA is giving all he can, while Robin is giving all he is.

As good as KBA is, his rounds had insane drops, but at the same time, had a few critical errors, robin's rounds barely beat kba, mainly due to the the pure consistency throughout the WHOLE tracks... I personally think KBA would have won if it were live, but with the categories in this, it's pretty understandable why Robin won

KBA was my favorite going through this event, glad he is number 1. Also, the drops need a couple more second before the drop, it didn't hit as hard becasue you are cutting straight to the drop, no build up. Love KBB and can't wait for it next time

Exactly, looping is definitely transitioning into becoming more about creating good music as a whole rather than being so drop-centric. I’m honestly not really a fan of these top drop compilations anymore. Why not make a “top rounds” list instead so we don’t just focus on the drops but the rounds as a whole?

I'll rank these 10 in my personal opinion: 1. Frosty round 2 vs Robin- His energy is great and he simply sounds the best. 2nd favorite round of all time. Rank in the video: 2nd 2. KBA round 2 vs Robin: Amazing sound design, sounds like an actually EDM drop, just sounds a tiny bit too subby for me - Rank in the video: 1st 3. Robin round 2 vs KBA: Incredible round, The reverb on the voice is way too much for me tho - Rank in the video: 4th 4. KBA round 1 vs Robin: Calling out robin for his mix meant KBA had to have an insane mix for this drop, and he did exactly that. Also great punch line with the Batman and Robin thing - Rank in the video: 5th 5. Kristof round 2 vs PSN: crazy mix and sound design didn't like the second part of the drop with the delay. Rank in the video: 8th 6. M-age Seeding Round: This drop is so emotional for me, I just had to rank it high Rank in the video: 10th 7. Josh O round 2 vs Robin: Really love everything before the drop especially the "Speaking" red alert bassline. Drop is great, did mess up at 0:49 when the siren part comes in. - Rank in the video: 9th 8. Josh O round 1 vs Kristof: The first part of the drop is top 4 worthy IMO, the groove is insane and this drop is so creative. I don't really find the appeal in the second part tho. Rank in the video: 6th 9. Kristof round 1 vs Robin: Don't really enjoy the first part of the drop. The second part with the scratches is incredible tho. Rank in the video: 3rd (Really surprised they picked this one by him, I thought he had way better rounds) 10. Robin round 2 vs Kristof: I really don't get this one, the drums are very quiet and the mix sounds flat, which is especially bad cause Kristof called him out for his mixing. - Rank in the video: 7

I have followed the loopstation scene for many years and i have to say it's too hard to follow up on what equipment is used and allowed. The essence of this magical beatboxing/loopstation scene that you have created is the simplicity and the ablitity to create music with the limited equipment you have. Is the RC-505mkll too narrow to still create new ideas?
