Was just about to say... Duel Links moves so fast that videos like these become old, sometimes in less than a week. Love these videos though, especially Duel Links content.
About Destiny Draw, it has been nerfed at least twice since launch. It used to lack a 'once per duel' restriction, so what we'd do is use Mirror Wall to lose 2000 life points every turn and run cards like Supremacy Berry to recover, then the rest of the deck would be combos which we could easily pull off since we get to choose our draws EVERY turn. Extra Extra was a skill that was used in a similar way. The other way Destiny Draw was nerfed was more of a bug fix than a nerf. When you were looking through your deck to decide what card you wanted to draw using the skill, the order you saw your cards in was the SAME order your deck was stacked.
@@runfast4183 I mean...Jaden + Yubel, desert town-Kalin and Carly are a thing. It'll take a while, since we've had like...20 Yubel-events, but it can happen.
FUN FACT: The original version of Destiny Draw also didn’t shuffle your deck after you used it. You could grab a pen and write down the order of your cards, so that you would know what you would draw in future turns.
@@chrisf.9595 yeah it was whenever you lost 2000 or more life points it wasnt once per duel so people was using life point gaining cards with this skill
I know this solely bc I lost to a deck with a pre-nerf Destiny Draw, and the opponent used it almost every turn in the late game. I don’t remember what the deck was, I just remember that I wanted to break my phone afterwards.
@@BronzeAnalystTM Draw Pass is useful for preventing deck out - which can be a pretty consistent issue in Gren Maju. But yeah at surface level going -1 for 200 LP is an awful idea.
Destiny Draw was nerfed before. It didn't have a once per duel effect. And I remember that some players used to run Mausoleum of the emperor decks with Aegis of Gaia to exploit it and use the skill multiple times
It's extremely P2W even more so than the TCG..... This game honenstly blows in many ways but can still be fun. Just don't expect to get anywhere in ranked without long grinds or money
@@azizimohdnoor3604 Wow! What decks you using? I've only used Amazoness and Digi Bugs in ranked. I started using Aromages but I'm trying to use it for farming.
@@nunyabiznes33 various of deck, cyber dragon, fortune lady, subterror, bewd, hazy flame, infernity etc etc. It's not about p2w, but its how u spend u gems and use dream ticket very well. I have 3 copies of all staple card like cosmic cyclone, floodgate, canadia, karma cut, fiendish chain, forbidden lance.. so yeah, spend well and grind harder
What grows in the graveyard is pretty insane for synchro decks allowing a LOT of combos. It even works decently with invoked decks as dark verger can be used for a fusion
Skill: Denko Sekka Advent Effect: If you play against a backrow deck in a remote duel invitational and your name is "Eduardo", add 1 "Denko Sekka" from outside of your deck to your hand. This skill can only be used once per duel.
Noble Knights, Shiranui, Fur Hire, Dark Magician, Cyber Angel, Amazoness, Koa'ki Meiru, Vampires, Desperado, Darklords. You could do more than ten, since I didn't mention Crystrons, Neos, Red-Eyes, Ninja, Karakuri or Witchcrafters.
Finally a new Duel Links top. I'm so happy to watch ^^. the way that you make yours videos, the script, the allusions that you do in the videos are so cool and also informative. seriously, I beg you, make more Tops about Duel Links or/and add more allusions about Duel Links in the Tcg based tops. We Duel Links fans deserve some love
I remember very early on in Duel Links, when life point cost spells were pretty common, people would abuse Destiny Draw because it lacked the ‘once per duel’ restriction.
One of the worst things about Destiny Draw is that you MUST play around it. Since only Yami Yugi has it, you MUST assume he has it if another skill didn't activate. Yami Yugi in turn usually runs a bunch of stall cards that ensure he is alive. They put Battlin Boxer Veil to 3 like a week after release directly because of this skill and Aleister. It's a good thing he's the only one with it as every character has a line directly related to this one skill and it would be impossible to tell who has it.
Aside from the miss timing problem (which is okay, still great video), it is really nice to see you cover more about duel links. Would love to see more of something like this in the fututre Also as sugestion maybe you can compare all the skills in their pre-nerf version too
Would have been neat to see a video of the best Duel Links skills of all times (In their original states); Would have been funny to see beatdown and its history
Desperado Barrel Dragon has a 0% chance of a bad effect. It can only have positive or no effect. You can also use its effect in _either_ player's Battle Phase, which means there's no downside using it on your opponent's turn since you can't attack on their turn anyway.
Top 10 Metas Through Duel links History. I remember back when the game launched there was just a wonderful mess of FTKs, Summoner of Illusions-to-BEUD, Mirror Wall, and Daedalus-Umi board wiping. Fun times.
For those who are wondering what skills got nerf they are See you later: You now need to take 1500 damage to activate it Master of Destiny: You know skip your first draw phase to use the skill And Balance: You can't use monster effects or special summon monsters during your first main phase Pretty good list logs, I would like to see a list on the worst skills in duel links because theirs a lot of choices, since you are looking for ideas to do
@@cooldes4593 yeah at this point is which person can make a better deck using those engines and it will be tier 1 (except virtual world since they dont need those) i mean look at zoodiacs right now
@@daffamustafa 1 to 3 card combos that people splash into decks. i:e the predaplant engine needs you to play 2 cards 1 of which is a garnet but people still use it.
I'm subs this channel a year ago or maybe less. And i'm happy you have something from duel links, since it become my favorite game recently. I hope i can see more video like this. And from now on, i turn on my notification too.
Destiny draw was nerfed, it wasn’t a once per duel so stall decks would increase their life points and use it multiple times. It would also let you know how the deck was stacked after the draw.
THIS definitely needs an update! We have skills that any character can use now. I expect the elemental draw skills and the related ones to also be universal.
Destiny Draw was nerfed. Initially it allowed you to add a card EVERY time your lifepoints were reduced by 2000. Since in DL lifepoints are set at 4000 there was no issue but then a lot of cards that increased lifepoint were added making it easier to activate multiple times.
Just a little correction to the number 3 spot info, TheDuelLogs: in fact, Destiny Draw has already been nerfed. The pre-nerfed version of the skill (available only until the second year of the game I guess) HAD NOT a once per duel restriction (yes, believe it or not, you could use it EVERY TURN as long as your LP have decreased 2k pts)
In addition, Desperado Barrel Dragon's coin-toss effect isn't exclusive to your turn, you can activate it for free during either battle phase, and this is per copy of Desperado Barrel Dragon that you control, it's not a hard once per turn, making it that much better :)
Destiny draw has been nerfed a couple times. OG D-Draw allowed you to see the order of your deck, allowing the player to know exactly what cards they would draw until the deck was shuffled.
Destiny Draw was also a thing in the Duelist of the Roses game, only instead of it being something you control, the game kinda decided for you. Also, it didn't let you choose any card from your deck. Instead, it gave you a game-saving/winning card from the whole roster of cards in the game, normally not even one you had in your deck
Definitely a fun list. Despite a lot of these skills being nerfed (lol) I think skills like onomatoplay and territory of the sharks were worth mention. Same thing with the galaxy photon skill, they’re rather insane.
Destiny draw used to be super busted cause it was every time you lose 2000 life points. So just mirror wall and supremacy Berry meant you always got the card you wanted
I could probably joke that with the hilariously timed announcement, you were so shocked that you misplaced one of your timestamp. _(Your #1 segment was merged with your #2 segment, and the #1 timestamp was closer to the closer than the start of the #1 segment.)_
Thank you for the video my boy. Even though the timing was unfortunate it was still will out together and fun to watch. Fun Fact: Destiny draw used to be unlimited and you could continue to use it as long as you kept losing 2000 life points and surviving.
Amazing video man! Just wanted to point out that destiny draw was nerfed before! It didn’t used to be once per duel. Love your content man. Shout out from Saudi Arabia ❤️
Some duel links video ideas: skills that have gone through the most changes, cards that are skill locked, maybe something like your destiny draw talk for unique character skills, weirdest cards that were overpowered/underpowered, cards that require(it can be a softer require like with Jade Insect Whistle, than something like the exodia support cards) a specific skill to be useful.
So, the skill nerfs that went just after the video was posted: Master of Destiny will skip your first draw phase. Also a whole bunch of the cards were hit. See you later only activate if you take 1500 points of damage. Balance Now locks you out of Special Summons and monster effects for your fist main phase. No idea if any of these changes will effect the skills however. Just wanted to put out the changes.
Wow... impeccable timing. I've recently started getting more into Duel Links. I've been looking up decks and strats and whatnot. I'm currently building a weather painter deck; I just need one more "The Weather Thundery Canvas"
I'm sorry, Konami just killed your deck as long as many other rogues with the recent nerf to all consistency skills. Decks that were using balance are now incredibly inconsistent to play. Don't spend gems on weather painter until a new buff
@@gamer11011101 you are absolutely right, I love to build decks around balance, spell specialist, trap layer ecc.. But now they are all nerfed and you can't special summon or activate effects in your first turn. Konami really made a huge mistake
Shout out to Miracle Draw, which gives you a Pot of Greed on your third draw as long as you have an elemental hero in your graveyard by then. Won me many duels.
A Duel Links video idea: Top 10 decks would be broken if Konami release all their support cards. Example: Nekroz, Burning Abyss, Orcust, Blackwings, HERO, etc.
They killed balance this morning This skill is as good as dead unless you are playing super consistent stun deck Edit: while beat down got nurfed it's still as good as the ties that binds and still win more games since it the buff is extremely significant But honestly a very good list
I mean destiny draw it's kinda balanced around the fact that only yami yugi can use it and you actually can play around it very effectevly so your opponent never gets a chance to activate it, so i think it's fine. BTW love your content even for regular yugioh trivia, more duel links videos wouldn't be that bad thou, maybe you could make a list about the bests decks in the game history or even rough decks.
Destiny draw had 2 nerfs: In its early days you could see the order of cards in your deck and the skill didnt shuffle your deck. So you get the card you wanted with the skill, and also knows what youll draw next. Removing this is the first nerf. The second nerf was making it once per duel (and not once per turn). People used to build decks that could abuse this
Excellent video! i use balance in Duel links too Hmmm video ideas Top ten most broken meta decks Biggest changes from the TCG Top ten best main boxes Top ten worst main boxes Best and worst mini boxes too Keep them sperate as most of the cards in mini boxes are bad and have limited use
Not only did a new skill rebalance come out, most of these placings would make some sense around 2 months ago such as tie that binds since no one uses it in competitive that much. As well as onomats lr blue eyes skills.
Lowkey overpowered skill is land of the ojamas. Rack up your deck with ojamas and fusion cards and some back row protection you’re likely to be able to summon at least ojamas knight on your first turn most games. 2500 attack using ojamalandS effect and blocking 2 of the 3 available monster zones for your opponent. It’s not consistently reliable which is why it’s probably not been needed yet but damn it’s a good deck/skill to run
I like to use Creator in Cyberse decks since Storm Access isn't out. LP Boost Alpha is simple. Not good as all it does is give you an extra cushion of LP. Skud has some skills that are fun too. For a Duel Links list how about top 10 best character exclusive skills or Top 10 Worst archetypes in Duel Links. Honestly some are bad simply because they lack key cards as they are either too powerful, are Pendulum/Link monsters or mention the Extra Monster Zone.
TheDuelLogs: Cup of Ace, with this skill, is literally Pot of Greed. Me: But what does- TheDuelLogs: It just lets you draw 2 cards. Me: ................ how dare you.
While Duel Links has come up quite a bit in these videos, it might be interesting to look at some of the older, more primitive Yugioh games (i.e. Dark Duel Stories, The Sacred Cards, etc.) and talk about some of the cards that are pretty OP compared to how they are irl (or at least, compared to how they were irl at the time). I know about quite a few contenders for such a list. PaniK's monsters in general had their manga stats in these games, meaning they get their 30% boost from Yami on top of their already high stats, basically getting the best of both worlds. King of Yamimakai, for example, starts out at 2600/2000- higher than Summoned Skull, mind you- and goes up to 3380/2600 in the Yami field. Now sure, you can't search out King of Yamimakai with Witch of the Black Forest in either case, but then again, WotBF doesn't have her effect in these games. The best one of PaniK's monsters, though, would be Castle of Dark Illusions. It goes from 920/1930 to 1200/2500, and its effect upon turning face-up is that can give up its attack to change the field to Yami- and thus boosting its stats to 1560/3250- and on top of that, turn all your other monsters face-down so you can use their effects again. Then consider that Darkness Approaches has the latter effect, without its usual discarding cost. Witch's Apprentice can be pretty broken, as you can have it give all Shadow monsters a permanent 500 point buff to ATK and DEF, and do the opposite to Light monsters. Witch's Apprentice is herself a Shadow monster, and due to the infrequency of Dreams monsters in these games, you're unlikely to get hit by the rock-paper-scissors effect in these games. Doron is a fairly useless Normal Monster normally, but in these games, they have the ability to give up their initial attack to Special Summon another of itself. You know what other monster has this ability in this format? Revival Jam. Torrential Tribute goes from being a Dark Hole when your opponent Summons a monster, to a Raigeki when your opponent attacks, making it a factually better Mirror Force. Larvae Moth can be Summoned normally, and passing turns allows it to automatically become Cocoon of Evolution, which can subsequently become Great Moth, which in turn becomes Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth. And then there's Dark Flare Knight. Yeah, they made Dark Flare Knight actually GOOD. Now it's a Main Deck card that automatically Special Summons Mirage Knight when it hits the grave... in a format where you can discard cards from your hand at will during your turn. While Mirage Knight doesn't have the Honest effect, it is a powerful Dreams monster that becomes easy to play due to DFK, and it still automatically splits into Dark Magician and Flame Swordsman at the end of your turn.
Destiny draw was orignally not a once per duel. So you could use it repeatedly as long as you could gain enough lifepoints to trigger it. It was bretty broken in aromages.
Underrated skill is paradox brothers labyrinth special skill. It can br used once at any point in the duel. And at the cost of sending two cards back into your deck from your hand you get be able to on demand special summon a 3000 defense 5 star monster that can’t be stopped. It’s situational always but comes in useful more than you could think with decks you burn on that last longer or stall trap decks or alot of things a special summon can get you
The Duel Links Meta moves too fast for me, But I do find it fun to see the decks that shine in Duel Links. Also kinda funny Duel Links has Volcanics Support
Some of these choices seem pretty weird to me, even ignoring yesterday's nerfs. FIRE Reload is still pretty new, but has so far only seen play in Invoked Neos, but that deck already dropped out of the meta a month ago. Master of Rites II sees play in Vendread and Megalith, but the latter was barely even rogue at its peak and the former hasn't seen much play in over a year. The Tie that Binds really isn't that great, usually if you have a free skill slot, Destiny Draw is the go-to. Endless Trap Hell hasn't seen a lot of play in recent months either. Even if there's a lot of decks playing trap cards, they usually prefer to play Balance. See you Later! is (was) a great skill that has seen a lot of play in rogue decks, but the only actual meta decks that played the skill were Ritual Beasts and Star Seraphs, but those decks weren't that prevalent either. Also, there's some skills that really should have been on the list. Onomatoplay and Territory of the Sharks currently see meta play, and they completely carry the decks they're played in. Blue Eyes is also a meta deck right now and has two pretty good skills in Alternate Evolution and (mainly) Ultimate Dragons. While these skills aren't essential to the deck, they still give it a nice boost. I know you write these scripts a few months in advance, but even half a year ago some of these choices didn't really make sense. By the way, how about making a Top 10 best skills of all time? You know, with all the completely broken stuff that got nerfed eventually, like Cyber Style, Duel, Standby! or Light and Dark.
A little think to know about endless trap hell is that if you have more than 3 traps into your graveyard , he gonna retake ALL of your trap card into your deck and not only 2 of them. Also Ddraw was actually nerf 2 times in the history of Dl : The first time , was more a fixe because that skill was allowed you to see in which order your deck was and still was after activation of that skill . And the second time because he was abuse by stall deck because Ddraw wasn't once per duel so you can regain lp and use it again.
