Even looking at EG spin off and mlp movie the mlp franchise hots it on the head with villian songs. From cappers deceitful song of friendship (though he wasn't so much a villian as a lying fleabag) to the chilling backstory open up your eyes to EVERY song by the sirines in EG rainbow rocks. I cant name one BAD villian song from them (ps we will stand for everfree is soooo powerful)
This Day Aria is actually one of the most Iconic MLP Songs So if anyone was asked "Whats the best Villain Song from MLP?" They'd Immediately say "This Day Aria" because of how Iconic it is That and Queen Chrysalis is best MLP Villain, Change my Mind
@@NightcoreBrawler I have to agree, Cozy's "A Better Way to be Bad", is probably my favorite Villain song from the series. "This Day Aria" is awesome and all; but Cozy really owned her song.
listening to the instrumental version of both, the orchestration in Better Way to be Bad is much more intricate, but This Day Aria's melody is much more dramatic. they're both just as good as each other for different reasons!
This day Aria really gives off The Little Mermaid vibes. Queen Chrylias is like Ursula in disguise as Vanessa to marry Prince Eric. However, Ariel has no voice and can’t tell Eric until the last minute just like Cadence singing about Shining Armor and saving him from Queen Chrylias. It’s really a love letter to wedding crash of the Little Mermaid.
Just like Me and Kairi Queen Chrysalis as Anti-Pelnu and Diaspro in disguise Anti-Pelnu to marry Ventus but the real pelnu and her friends King Mickey Flora and Master Aqua help to Pelnu stop the Wedding land of departure later Diaspro to marry Sora maybe Kairi's voice she never singing and talking so we have stop the wedding! Sora and Diaspro i hate Soaspro 😝 so much oh my gosh Kairi and i we'get finding Ventus and Sora to Diaspro and Anti-Pelnu's evil plan say i do this need about the Wedding crash from the little mermaid
I’m so happy that This Day Aria was #1. Sure I’m also happy that Steven Universe, Total Drama, The Fairly Oddparents, etc. was on here, but the fact that MLP is number #1 made me the most happiest.
Can w get a part 2 with: Nothing Left to Loose- Tangled Ready as I’ll ever be - Tangled Other Friends- Steven Universe movie Better Ways to be Bad- mlp Thank you for all the likes!❤️Hope you’re all having an amazing day😊
Duchi well technically we do hear the Beast singing some weird opera number in the background sometimes, but yeah hearing him actually sing would’ve been awesome!
Pretty sure “Other Friends” beat “What’s the use of feeling (Blue)” especially considering what Spinel was DOING during the catchy tune. But maybe since it was for the movie it didn’t count?
Being a multifandom person including a brony myself, This Day Aria next to "A Better Way to be Bad" will always be one of my most favorite villain songs from the MLP FIM series, in fact i'm glad This Day Aria made it to number one for this list.
or ''Back in Gimmelshtump'' or ''I must impress my professor '' or ''My name is Doof and you do what I say'' or ''Lies'' or ''I really don't hate christmas'' or better yet ''Der Kinderlumper''
OK, I am SO happy that "Empire" was mentioned!! Monster High: Boo York, Boo York is actually a pretty awesome musical that I feel is kind of underrated, and it deserves way more recognition, so THANK you!!
So glad that "Crossing the Line" is so high on the list. For me it's even number one. Together with "Waiting in the Wings" and its Reprise, all three songs show Cassandra's arc perfectly and make it very hard for the viewer to condemn Cassandra's betrayal. It's a real masterpiece from Alan Menken and Glenn Slater. Crossing the line was never so tempting as it is in this song. P.S.: Cassandra is actually having during Rapunzel's hopeful part. But then she used the word "wait", which was the ultimate trigger for Cass.
Yes! This song kind of reminds me of Let It Go, they're both that big release when they finally, really come into their power. And the duet portion is SO AWESOME it gives me chills. Although, I do really love Nothing Left to Lose... But alas, this video came out just 3 days before that episode...
@@51dani Unfortunately I can't watch the episodes yet, because the Disney channel takes it with it. But I was able to watch the third season on RU-vid till episode 9 (splitted in many minute long videos). Can't wait to watch the episode with the song you talked about. "Crossing the Line" rather reminds me of a dark version of "Show Yourself" as they sing both about their destinies. The first time I heard "Crossing The Line", I hadn't had the context of the episode (except that it was the first episode of season three), so I didn't even know that Gothel was Cass' mother. But as Rapunzel tries to calm her down and is ending with "wait", I immediately (even before Cass' reaction) knew that this was an unwanted big mistake, 'cause "Waiting in the Wings" (the 2nd best song of season two) gave so much insight in Cass' mind.
@@tobiasbenedictdrager965 I was able to watch the new episode on RU-vid, so you should probably be able to find it... And episode 10. And 11 is online if you know where to look... I love the comparison to "Show Yourself"... I hadn't thought of that. And the line "You are the one you've been waiting for" kinda fits? The first time I heard "Crossing the Line" I hadn't seen any of the show yet. It was just a snippet in a compilation of Disney songs which made me want to watch the show in the first place. But I knew that Cass was going to turn on Rapunzel all through season 2... But yeah, that wait was a big mistake and I love how the audience knows it but Rapunzel doesn't... It reminds me of when she is pleading with Varian in season 1 and says "I promise." "I'm sorry, princess, but I know firsthand how well you keep promises."
I’m happy Crossing the line was on the list but I feel like Ready As I’ll Ever Be was better and should’ve at least had a mention. Also, Spinel’s Other Friends song should’ve also been mentioned.
It's probably just because it is only partly evil. I kinda wish it got an honorable mention but it's there opinion not mine. I'd put it in honorable mention on my personal list though.
"Ready As I'll Ever Be" is amazing, but I wouldn't quite call it a villain song, since Valerian only owns one third of the tune as the villain and the rest is done by the other characters to show that there is hope as long as they know what they are fighting for. I would rather say that it is a battle song. The villain song would be "Let Me Make You Proud (Reprise)" in my opinion.
I love the songs on this list and the fact that you guys made “This Day Aria” #1 (it’s definitely a classic!) but I actually love that “Biskit Family Business” from LPS got an honourable mention?? So many people forget that underrated show!
So thankful that "This Day Aria", made #1! One of the best MLP songs in the entire series in my opinion! Both gave me broadway and Disney vibes! All thanks to the talented Danny Ingrim! :D
I love how they chose "This day aria" to represent MLP villain songs,it is my fave MLP song ever! And it is truly one of best songs in the show. Also,i really like "Better way to be bad". That song is also so catchy, but "This day aria" is more awesome in my opinion :) Edit: This video is in my recommendation, and i clicked just bc i saw Chrysalis (in Cadences form) in thumbnail xD
Seems Crossing the Line beat out Ready As I'll Ever Be in epic cartoon villain songs from Tangled. And of course it was hard to decide which MLP villain songs were epic indeed.
@@eviepowell5051 Nope, Nothing Left to Loose is better than Ready As I'll Ever Be. Don't get me wrong, I love Ready, but Nothing Left to Lose is still my favorite.
My reaction. Number 10: I've heard the show but never seen the songs. 🤨 Number 9: Seen it kinda liked it but again never seen the song. 🤨 Number 8: YES I've seen it and loved the show and the singer. 😍🧠 Number 7: Again seen and love the show and the singers.🎵 🦸🏾♂️🦹🏾♂️🎵 Number 6: Love the show not really much of the song. 🙅🏾♂️ Number 5: GOD everytime they sing they make me smile. Best. Rap. EVER! 😎 💿 Number 4: To Blue from Yellow she can sing. 😍 Number 3: I love her she's a badass villain. ❤🦹🏾♂️🌋❄ Number 2: WHAAAAAAAAAT? I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE NUMBER 1 AT BEST! I can never get this song out of my head. 🌙🗡 Honorable Mentions: I don't know that show? 🤷🏾♂️ Love the shows and the movies. 😍 Again I don't know that show? 🤷🏾♂️ CHALKZONE! I haven't seen this show sence I was 10. 😍 1 more time I don't know this show? 🤷🏾♂️ Number 1: SHE'S MY FAVORITE I'VE SEEN IT AND IT WAS AMAZING. 😍🦄
I love Crossing The Line. It’s such a great villain song and it really shows how much Cassandra is done with being pushed aside but I really hoped that Ready As I’ll Ever Be was on the list. It’s also a great villain song with how it shows how sad and angry Varian is at the world and how he blames Rapunzel for his father getting encased in the amber.
Crossing the line was amazing- especially Cassandra’s last note. It’s so powerful, saying she doesn’t matter if she loses Rapunzel because Cassandra is her own person now, and now she has the moonstone, which she thinks she owns. Her physical movements show strength and self empowerment. Just amazing.
🎶I'm wedged in a hole, this isn't right! If I'm going down make a fair fight! It's beneath you, to abandon a girl in a ditch! Offer me my dignity! I haven't got a stitch!🎶
I’m not a brony anymore I kinda gave up on the final season because I felt the story telling was lacking. But from season 1 episode 1-2, 15, 21, and 26 to season 8 it’s a pretty good show. This day aria was one of the best songs in the show when I joined the fandom. I can remember all the amazing content creators I found that year. But all things do come to an end. What ruined the fandom though was the whole problem with content creators striking reactors for reacting to their videos. Completely killed off the way people showed off their creativity, and those people, who striked reactors, stopped creating content while reactors stuck to their trusted creators. If you are going to get into the show this late take the pony part with a grain of salt, and just enjoy the journey.
@Dark Shadow Storm Not an official song, but he did sing a little bit to Ford after he captured him, trying to convince him to work together. It was super creepy.
I remember when I first watched MLP (and this was when season 3 was coming out, and I kept with it till the end :,) When I heard This Day Aria, I listened to it over and over on end. It’s such a fantastic villain song, and it’ll always hold a special place in my heart
As I was watching this video, and when they said that Neil Patrick Harris had voiced the villain, I just casually glanced at "A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning" that I had just started reading today... kind of ironic? (Also I have seen the full Netflix series, but I haven't read the books yet, so I'm catching up on that now.) Speaking of songs, "Keep Chasing Your Schemes", "Look Away", and "That's Not How the Story Goes" original, and season 3 version, are some good songs to include on a list.
"Did anyone really expect Casandra to go rogue?" Yeah...I thought she was a spy from the very beginning and I've only seen 3 episodes...This is the first im hearing it was a twist lmao...
Me: Cass going rouge was... eh. I mean, she was never the best character. *glances at sister* Sorry. If you want to talk about shocker villain in TTS, Varian is much more of a shocker. Who would have thought someone as kind and sweet as Varian would turn to the dark side? Not that he didn't have a good reason.
I stick by my other comments I've made on this video; who knew that Neil Patrick Harris could be so great at playing a villain who is able to control everyone around him with his amazing singing chops.
5:07 Top 10 Total Drama World Tour Songs. I Think "This How We Will End It" Would Be At Number One Or Two. Also Top 10 Cartoon Villain Couples For Reasons.
The guaranteed number 1 for TDWT is I'm Gonna Make It. Other ones high up are Boyfriend Kisser, Sheering Sheep, Versus, Wake Up and Fight For the Gold.
whats the use of feeling blue stands out to me because yellow wasn't singing about how evil they were, the diamonds didn't even think what they were doing was wrong. yellow was just trying to comfort blue
This Is How We Will End It was probably my favorite song of the whole show. Except maybe the song where the two and Cody are racing to Mexico in the next episode and Oh My Izzy (Jamaica), but those are the only real contenders against it
It actually reminded me of the only Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode I ever saw, which was a musical. There was a villain who caused everyone in the show to sing throughout the whole episode and they didn't find him until the end of the episode. My best friend at the time convinced me to watch it since she knew I loved musicals lol.
Loved that This day Aria, Crossing the Line and What's the use in feeling Blue were on here but seriously you missed Other Friends and Drift Away???!!!
IMO: Nothing Left to Lose > The One and Only > When I Led the Guard > Crossing the Line > A Kingdom of My Own > This Day Aria > I'm the Bad Guy > Evil Dreams > What's the Use of Feeling Blue >Ember, You Will Remember the Name
Come Wayward Souls really should have been higher than an honourable mention. It's without a doubt the creepiest song on the list and the underlying implication of what happens to children who lose their way in the Unknown really sells it.
