Nicely done. Thanks a lot buddy! I try to be at least somewhat entertaining but really I'm just being me. Which at times is pretty entertaining lol. The road from 500 to 600 is not that great bc you prob already have 90% of the games that you really "want". It just gets nearly impossible to find games you need from here on. That beer sounds AWESOME. I'm surprised how many you have that I need. I thought our lists would be more similar.
You know what the funniest part about doing this video was?…I realized if I sold all 10 of these I could afford to buy Little Samson. 🤣 Still a long way to go but the journey is just as important if not more than the destination…Unless you have to go to the restroom then the destination is pretty damned important. 😂
Awesome collection. I didn't think Megaman 5 would be that expensive since I figured Nintendo would pump out a descent number of copies of it. Thanks for sharing.
I honestly would have thought the same thing. I didn’t look at the sales figures but if I had to guess I would say that’s why. Less copies than of Megaman 2,3 or 4. Appreciate you checking out the video dude! 🤙🏼
Oh man! I still have a long way to go on the heavies for the system. If I sold all 10 of these I could probably afford Little Samson. 🤣 Hope you are doing well and life is good my friend. 🍻
Great list!! Also enjoyed the video. I enjoyed the way the gameplay was added. Very cool looking! I thought about doing this for the snes just to see how many I’m missing (expensive wise)
Thanks Brandi. I had fun putting it together. I have been messing around a little more with this app I use to edit. I am missing more than I have for the NES. 🤣 It would be cool to see you do something similiar for the SNES. 🤙🏻
I k ow man. It’s crazy to see how much prices are now compared to 10+ years back. Stack Up is crazy to me that I picked it up for like $10 and now it’s worth we’ll north of a Benjamin. 🤷♂️ Had fun doing this for sure. Wasn’t trying to flex just a cool thing to see the comparison of what I have and what a few other folks that did the challenge have in their collections. Have a good weekend dude! 🤙🏻
Great list of games. I've noticed with the old 8-bit and 16-bit consoles that a good bit of the really expensive games have been the late releases for each console. It's fun seeing what games other people have though
The late releases absolutely do seem to be the most expensive for those systems. Back in the day everyone had moved on to the new thing and left the old behind. Had some fun doing this for sure. Still have so many bangers left to get in the set. 😫 The journey is as much of the fun as the destination though. 🤙🏻
I don't know how many time I look back and think about how my games I passed up in the thrift because I figured they'd always be there. some day I'll hunt down a copy of GunNac. it's always been a blast. I'm pretty patient waiting for valley that seems like it will never come 🤣. That beer is making me thirsty. Cheers bud!
It’s crazy isn’t it? If we only knew…🤷🏼♂️ Gun Nac is such a fun game. It’s a shame a cart costs this much now. It’s why I tell everyone to emulate if they can. Games like it and Mighty Final Fight should be played because they are great games! But the cost turns people away. Hope your week is going god brother! 🤙🏼
You know it’s a good one when you get the slurp on camera. 🤣 Gun Nac is excellent! It’s a shame that some of the titles like it on the NES are so expensive. But emulate if needed. Great fun! 🍻
Thanks dude! I think the Casino Kid games must have been NTSC only releases. Trust me though…you are not missing anything. 🤣 Mighty Final Fight and Gun Nac are probably my favorites from this group. It’s too bad they are a bit pricey for the average person. They really deserve to be played more. Hope you’re doing well Nick! 🤙🏼
Folks panties sure get a bunch when we start talking about price. I don't blame you for leaving it out for that aspect. Personally I would have loved to have seen the pricing but at the same time I have a general idea cuz I'm a collector lol. Mighty Final Fight might be a game I put on my list to complete for 2024. We will see what the internets say about its difficulty. That'll be the defining factor 😂 We would participate in this but it would be a bunch of mid-range titles with one big whopping expensive one at the top lol. We've talked about it so many times. I think everybody knows what it is. Really enjoyed this Josh. The editing was great. I love the masking you did with the gameplay. Superb job!
You are absolutely correct about talking price. I had a video a few years ago that I talked price for some other expensive games in my collection and basically had folks talking about me being a braggart. That I was crass and crude for talking about money. News flash folks…Games are collectibles and collectibles cost money!💰 🤷🏼♂️ On the other note…you will love Mighty Final Fight! I know you guys like Beat Em Ups so I am sure you will enjoy. Only drawback is it would be so much more fun if it was two player. Thanks for the kind words about the editing. Just tried something new in the app I use. It turned out good I guess. 🤣
Tony made me do it. 🤣 He seems like a really fun dude for sure. I was hoping to get out there next month and hang with everyone but it didn’t work out. God willing maybe next year. 🤞🏻
That’s pretty cool man. You may be one of the few that has played the second before the first. But I probably have a few years on you. 🤣 Both are excellent fun games. It’s kinda crazy what some of these games are currently going for. Sad part though is that I have a number of the big pricy titles still to track down. 😩
I would love to see your list here man. Tony started this one rolling and I did see Nerdstillery do a list like this too. Funny thing with Bubble Bobble 2 is that I had someone offer it up to me for trade a couple months ago but I already had this copy. Gun Nac is super fun too. Hope you can find a copy for a good price dude! 🤙🏼
Was a little disappointed as I was expecting to see a sealed Original Super Mario Bros 😂😂😂 Had no idea there was a bubble bobble part 2 So that was great to see, Nice one Josh you have some fantastic games in the collection
Man…if I had one of those I would be like Dave Chappell with that Oprah money…I’m rich biatch! 🤣 I actually have some CIB NES games that rank within the list but figured I would keep it loose cart only. Bubble Bobble Part 2 is fun but no way is it worth the going price. Just get the original and save a few hondos! 💰💰💰
Tony's so much fun to watch; he's hilarious and we always look forward to the next great video from him. So excited to see what's in your list, Josh! Freaking starting off strong dude, Contra Force!? You KNOW it'll be an epic video when that's in the 10 spot. I've never played CK2 but man, the first one never won me over so I always avoided it anyway. lol Stack-Up, oh neat; we have a ROB and a buddy 3D printed the missing pieces we'd need for it, but now we need to grab the cart. It's got to be terrible. lol Agree, it IS a shame that MFF is so pricey; it's so much fun and would've make for a great series if it had the chance to get a better audience. Really fun video Josh; you've got some bangers but also, most really are worth playing. Also, side note, but I really like how you did your video with the game footage sharing the screen with you; that looked great.
Tony is a riot! I wish I had half that personality. 🤣 This was a fun video to do and it was cool to see how greatly his 10 and mine were too. I appreciate that dude! I have been messing around a little more with my editing app so hopefully I can learn some new ways to make the videos look fresh. Happy weekend!!🍻
Thanks buddy! The NES is the original icon of the video game world for a reason. So many amazing games, amazing franchises and a generation of memories came from the system. Super Dodgeball is a lot of fun. Those Technos Japan games are all great. River City Ransom is a personal favorite of mine. 🤙🏼
i got the original Megaman 5+Box and manual for 25 euro. I knew the value of it, and i met the person through an online marketplace so i knew i wasnt gonna see him again, so i didn't want to inform him beforehand. do i feel bad? yes, would i do the exact same thing if i could redo the fact? a 1000 times over! :D also, Duck Tales was pretty easy in the end. not gonna spoil it, but once you get to the final boss, you'll notice he isn't as difficult as he looks, the Pogo Cane is just so insanely overpowered!! but love the list regardless! youve given me some good titles to keep an eye on, definitely Bubble Bobble 1 and 2, i completely forgot about those!
That is awesome man! MM5 a bit of a banger here in the states and I was super stoked to be able to trade some things for it and bring it into the collection. I feel like as long as someone is happy with the price they are paying or receiving for something it’s a good deal all around. Ducktales is definitely on the easier side especially for the NES. Thanks for the love dude! These lists are pretty fun to do and watch to see what everyone else has in their collections. 🤙🏻🍻
Awesome stuff! I’ve never heard of casino kid 2 (or the original for that matter). Mighty final fight looks like a lot of fun. Heard great things about gun nac. I’m not too savvy on the nes so found the commentary with the gameplay super cool and interesting mate. Have a goodun 👍
Thanks Ed! I have to say that you may have never heard of Casino Kid…but you’re really not missing out. 🤣 Mighty Final Fight and Gun Nac though are a blast! Great games I would recommend to anyone. They are both quite expensive here in the states though. But emulation is recommended because they are fun. I appreciate you watching and commenting my friend. 🍻
Thanks dude! I am always down with doing some more NES content. Been thinking of some things to do with it especially since I have quite a lot of games for the system. 🤙🏻
Can’t take it with you…and why leave it for the kids to blow later on digital games. 🤣 Chubby Cherub is one I have seen once or twice but still need to pick up. Pretty soon most of them that are left are gonna cost me. 😫 Good thing I don’t already have that second mortgage. Might have to get some PayPal credits….Stadium Events here we come baby!
This is both fun to see and crazy that pricing is out of control! You've done well to get and hold onto these. Hopefully not all consoles will follow suit. I'd love XBOX 360 games to be cheap forever. I love that console and don't want a reason to sell off all my goods 😂. 😁👍
I had fun doing the video. Pricing on games is one of those talking points that you have to be careful of. Some people enjoy talking about it and others get offended quickly. Last time I mentioned something about valuable games I had a few people called me a braggart, crass and classless. But in the end F’ em. This is my channel. 🤣 As far as price rise, I have noticed a dip on pricing for the NES but an increase on N64. So I think it all has to do with what gets hot at certain times. And how nostalgia plays into that. I have a feeling 360, PS3 and maybe Wii are gonna start climbing again. Those consoles are getting ready to hit 20 years soon and that means those folks who were 7-15 years old at the time it was current are all reaching around thirty-something now so nostalgia…
That was really interesting to hear where the most value lies in a US set as you got so many more games than we did 500+ games is a great achievement, sure you will complete it on day All the best 👍
Thanks man! This was a fun video to put together. Definitely not a flex video. Just thought the video that BitDG did was fun and it was cool to compare what he had and I what I had. I am getting closer and closer each month for sure. Still have some real dingers though to chase down. Appreciate you watching my friend. Hope you’re well and getting this weekend started off on the right foot! 🍻
Thanks Pj. Appreciate you always dropping some positivity in my comments. I had fun doing this video and enjoy talking about the NES. The collection is growing for sure. 🤙🏼
Maybe if I sell all 10 of these and then I can afford Little Samson. 🤣 DuckTales 2 is awesome! You know all but 2 of these are great games really. But for the dough I could never recommend any of them other than through emulation. Gotta stay in some kinda budget right? 🤷🏼♂️
Nice. It is funny how some expensive titles are butt. Lol. But some are amazing. Likely the butt ones are expensive due to not a lot sold. Not a lot sold due to late release or just bc they were ass. Lol. However some are definitely expensive due to being fun as hell, Bucky, GunNac and Mighty Final. Then we got casino, Stack Up and mathematics lol. But i never played Stackup so guess i shouldnt speak on that one lol but yeah your are deff getting up there in count like Back In The Day Gamer yall gonna have a fun challenging time on the last run! Hapoy Collecting!!!
With the NES the most expensive titles were mostly late releases. With the exception of Stadium Events…People didn’t buy as many copies of the late releases since they moved onto the SNES and Genesis. Those 3 you listed though are all bangers! So much fun to be had with them. Yeah the last 150 for me are gonna be tough to keep finding. Plus I have some serious bangers that I am gonna have to pony up for. 💰🤣💰
Thanks dude. MFF is such a great game. It’s a shame it’s outside the price range for a lot of folks. That’s why I definitely recommend playing it via emulator. Both that one and Gun Nac need more people playing them.
You should dude! I think it would be fun. I followed Tony’s lead and didn’t talk actual pricing. Had a lot of fun putting it together. In the past I did a video similiar to this and talked price got a very negative bunch of comments about doing it that way. Seemed some folks think it’s crass, classless and is bragging to talk about it regarding our “sacred” hobby. 🤣
@@DrinkGameswithJosh I get that, I only do it in my VGM unboxings to show the value of the purchase of the box. I am planning to do one soon, I just need to organize it
I'm currently at 635 games. Need about 50 more and a couple Tengen ones (excluding Stadium Events, of course. I mean, who has THAT one?!) Of the 10 you showed, I need 7 of them! lol.
Wow dude! You are creeping close to the end. You’re right about Stadium Events for me I don’t even count that one. 🤣 The Tengen subset was fun one to track down. Sounds like you most likely have a few of those very heavy hitters in your set already. I thought one of the coolest part of watching the few videos that inspired me to do it was that everyone seems to have different ones. Of the 10 that Back in The Day Gamer showed I think I needed 6 or 7 too. 😂 Appreciate you watching and commenting dude. 🍻
@@DrinkGameswithJosh Yeah, my top 10 are Mighty Final Fight, Swamp Thing, Princess Tomato, Rockin Kats, Sqoon, Color a Dinosaur, Mega Man 5, L'Empereur, Kick Master, and The Krion Conquest.
@@DrinkGameswithJosh I could've had Gun Nac last week for 300, but just couldn't justify adding to my credit card bill this pay month just yet. Trying to be responsible. LOL.
@@viktorwolfe8333 I got Kick Master a few years back in a trade. It fell just outside of my top ten. That’s funny though because I can say darn near the same thing about your top ten. I have three of those but not the rest. 😂
Donkey Kong Jr. Math, I would have loved it! Maybe a little sad it only has basic math and no monkey business. 🤣🤣 One time I found Kid Clown in a store but, i couldn't bring myself to purchase it. It was 700 which was over Price charting and i think recently the game price went down. One of the reasons why I didn't get it was because the clerk was kind of a jerk so I didn't bother trying to haggle the price down.
You were a math nerd huh? (Channeling my inner Ogre) NERDS! 🤣 Wow! That’s a crazy price on Kid Klown. It really has come down a lot since then I guess. Yeah of a clerk is a jackass I won’t buy anything on principle. Not supporting an a hole…But I have had some great experiences in all the game stores I have been in. I have come across Panic Restaurant and Kid Klown before but just haven’t been able to pull that trigger. 💰🤣
@@DrinkGameswithJoshLiterally most if not all game stores had really cool employees but, honestly I think this guy was preoccupied with his GF so I was blown off or maybe just didn't want me in the store because I was ruining his game.🤣🤣🤣 It's whatever, at the end of the day, I'm glad I didn't buy. I probably won't ever see the game again in the wild but, I"m OK with it.
I have all 6 of the Mega Man games on the NES and a few others for other systems but not an of the true heavies like X2 or X3. ELITE must be a PAL exclusive for the NES? Haven’t heard of that one. Unless it was named differently here. I would love to track down a few of the PAL exclusives too eventually. Cheers brother! 🍻
Why does everyone make the basement a game room? I made my bedroom it and my wife loved it lol have 3 kids and never had a single problem with them near all my stuff
While I can’t speak for everyone, I would think most people just put their game room wherever they have a good space available. Mine is in the basement because we had a spare room there and it worked out well. May at some point condition and remodel my garage and use that for a slightly larger space. 🤷🏼♂️ I have 5 kids and they all play games and use the room too and haven’t had any issue either. Thanks for watching dude! Cheers! 🍻
Nice games there i bet between you and Tony you probably have a full set lol So pricecharting i dont get how that works? how does that 1 site know what the value of the games are? its defo a US thing as no one over here uses it nor mentions it.
Kinda surprised how different both of our lists were to be truthful. After watching these though I know we both are still missing the heaviest hitters in Little Samson and Flintstones. 💰💰 PriceCharting uses a formula that tallies eBay sales and the price they list is for the average of all sales. It works good for somethings and doesn’t work at all for others. I am very curious now. How do you guys in the UK determine prices than?
I figured I would keep it the same way as the fella who tagged me to do this vid. Plus it always seems like someone gets all butt hurt when you start talking about “How much money your games are worth” 🤣
