Top 10 Expensive Twilight Masquerade Pokemon Cards! 

Fun fact: The Eevee Illustration rare has 8 Eevees, one for each eeveelution, and most of them are positionned to emulate their V & VMAX Alt Arts from Evolving Skies and Fusion Strike, or their VMAX Premium Collection promos. I think they are: jumping down from the top left: Jolteon (see SWSH183 and SWSH184 promos) playing with the mug: Leafeon (see its VMAX AA where it's playing with a haybale) sleeping in the basket: Espeon (VMAX AA from Fusion Strike) sitting on the armrest: Umbreon (same pose as the Umbreon V AA) resting on the table: Glaceon (similar pose to the V AA where it's resting on the park bench) playing with the Hydreigon toy/plushie: Sylveon (bit of a stretch but I think it's due to it not being bothered by Dark/Dragon types and in both its AAs it's either playing for objects or Pokémon - and its toy is a combination of both. The last two I'm not convinced... But I think the one sitting next to "Sylveon" is Flareon. It has a similar facial expression to its VMAX AA (SWSH180 promo) and is depicted from slightly above, a little like its V AA (SWSH179 promo). Which leaves Vaporeon which would be the one sitting behind the sleeping one. I think it looks sad or bored because it would rather go play in the water... Curious to know what other people think which eeveelution each of them represents!!

to be honest, the art has never been better. for investing, it's probably not the right time for single cards (and may never be), but you could definitely get away with stockpiling lots of sealed product long term and seeing prices increase (they already are for SWSH as we know; only one generation behind).

Literally got to open packs like yesterday. Thought “Eh, why not” and bought five packs yesterday, and another five today, I got the Eevee and thought to myself “Huh, that’s a cute card” not realizing I had one of the most fun expensive cards in my possession, my friend saw it and almost lost his shit.

I look forward to buying all these in a PSA 10 for $10-$15 in a year or 2.

I agree these Ogerpon cards are a bit underwhelming, they just look like Full Arts with a larger Pokémon and since they are the main focus of the set, it makes it look a bit underwhelming... But this set has a lot of potential. But the Greninja SIR is a beautiful card of a fan favorite Pokémon (I pulled it in Crimson Haze and it is incredible - probably top 3 SIR from this era so far). The Eevee (with 8 Eevees, one for each eeveelution) and Tatsugiri IRs also are fantastic, the H-Growlithe IR and Perrin SIR are brilliant together as each card is a POV of each other, and both female SIR trainers will have their fans and chasers. I don't think it will be as good as Paldea Evolved (which I rank as the #1 SV main set, and I think most people will agree), but not that far behind. It has a few IRs that could stay in the $15-25 range and I wouldn't be surprised if Eevee keeps an even higher value, comparable to Raichu and Groudon in the $30-40 range. Overall it will mostly depend on the pull rates, if they are similar to Temporal Forces the top chases will hold their value, but I hope they bring back similar rates to Paldea Evolved where you at least got one HR/SIR in almost every booster box. I currently rank it as the #3 set out of 6, so between Paradox Rift and Temporal Forces.

I think these prices will actually increase unlike most sets once people realize how hard the pull rates are and how competitive some of the cards in the set are.

haha I opened a booster box and got the greninja first pack, posted it for $140 on ebay, sold for 125 at best offer and I only payed $108 for the whole bosster box. now i cant wait to buy it again for 20 bucks in like a month.

The next set will be the Evolving Skies set of scarlet and violet era. This is the Dragon set that will hopefully deliver. Saving my coins for the drop in August 24’….

A lot of these cards are being picked up for competitive play. The meta game is heavily reliant on some of these.

Why do people ghink because sword and shield is going up earlier than expected it means every new card printed is an automatic gold mine

It doesn’t make sense that people pay this much for these cards at prerelease. They drop immediately. That being said, I’ll buy the greninja if I can get it for $50 lol.

This set sucks so bad. The fact someone paid $70 for a gold item card is ridiculous. Modern gold cards are typically worth $8-$15 at most. Yeah… will look forward to getting this set for mad cheap like $600.
