Only lesson I took out of this video was that there was no defense on the field for the Washington-Baylor football game at 4:15. 56 to 67, really? That beats a good chunk of ncaa basketball scores.
Two things you have to know about that game. A lot of the teams play styles are suited towards their conference opponents, and each conference basically runs their own schemes. Bowl games get like that because they're playing against someone who runs an offense and defense they aren't used to
I was at that game and the wind was pretty bad. It was good 20-25 MPH gusts all throughout the game so it's at least understandable. However don't give the team that just scored two touchdowns in 3 minutes the ball first in overtime. People forget the Bears overcame two touchdowns and an onside kick to win.
That is only a borderline gamble. True gambles are things like faking a PAT and then going for 2, running a play at the end of the game when taking a knee allows you to win the game, not pitting when you know you are going to run out of gas, deferring in OT, going for a touchdown in OT passing up a tying field goal, keeping a tired pitcher in the game against a pretty good hitting team, going for it on fourth and inches deep in your own territory, changing goal keepers for the shootout, going for a touchdown near the end of a tie game rather than settling for a go-ahead field goal, selecting your driver when you have been missing with it all day, and of course, #1, under-bribing the refs so they rob you of an obvious first down at the most critical point in a game (p.s. Go Rams).
I dont care what anyone says ever the pats made that first down by close to a yard and it was probably the worst spot placement in the history of the NFL
fair enough, but often you'll see managers stay with their guy... sometimes it pays off and sometimes it bites you in the ass, but either way, if your guy says I want this, then sometimes you gotta just say okay and go with it and believe that he'll get the job done
Belichek number 1?? Manning would have scored from 80 yards as easy as 40 and it was a good tackle to prevent the first down. Big gamble but not a bad gamble.
