Great list, thank you for this. I think Tupou should be a bit higher on this list - he bumps off everyone like a normal day at work. Tuisova is indeed a freak of a specimen, still wouldn't put him above Jonah Lomu and Henry Tuilagi. Jonah for his speed and Henry for just the pure raw brute strength and ferocity he ran and tackled with. Those guys intentionally sought out the perceived hardest men of the opposition and made it their assignment. Also feel Rupeni Caucau should've been on this list. For his size, he outran everyone even men half his size, truly a phenomenon. Lastly, reckon Ardie Savea is a worthy mention. For all the man does on the field; his carries, his speed, leg drive and defense, despite his size (compared to global No.8) he has and is widely considered as the best back rower for some years now, the best All Black and perhaps the Best Player of the Year. Just my 2cents. Cheers!

Lomu was unstoppable until he ran into Joost van der Vesthuizen in the world cup. Joost was about the only guy who could effectively tackle him. Watching Lomu run through the whole Japanese team was almost comical.

Number one is spot on. Sub ten 100 meter PB. Insane vertical and agility for all the heft he's carrying. Lomu would have been #1 otherwise but then Josua Tuisova came into existence. The embodiment of Juggernaut.

Lomu will always be the biggest freak to play any cintact sport for me whether its Rugby Union, League or the NFL. At 6'5 118kg running the 100m in 10.8.. thats one of the most freakish things ever seen from an athlete in terms of speed, power and size in one.

@@SteveisTall its "genetic freaks".. its not who can tackle the best. Lomu had his weaknesses in defence in terms of reading at times. My point is that he should be the number 1 on this list purely by his genetics and being 6'5 118kg running the 100m around 10.8.. thats unheard of in any sport for someone to be that size and be that quick. You're arguing a different argument that doesn't have to do with the RU-vid video..

Love Jonah - but when you compare the opposition he was bumping off compared to the modern games -i agree with the no 2.He was a freak of nature tho, that made all other teams sit up,change diets and training/gym work that have helped this modern games as it is.More faster-stronger players but also brought about the -ve of head collision and concussion.

I gotta say, I have OFTEN wondered, and pondered, HOW these men came by their awe-inspiring physiques. If I may be permitted to speak plainly, I am certain, that in A LOT of these cases, so to speak, these men have been cheating by taking COPIOUS amounts of steroids on a VERY regular basis. Pity. I would have liked to believe that it was all natural, so to say. I KNOW they train super-hard, but still... Ahhh well...
