I don’t know if I’ve ever seen someone dance like Heather Morris. Insane dancer. Insane talent. I loved the inclusion of I feel pretty/unpretty. Really raw and emotional. Excellent list overall.
Heather Morris is so talented a dancer that she was thrown off Dancing With the Stars for being to professional. Yet they let two Olympic ice Dance champions, which is basically ballroom dancing on ice, compete as stars and one of them won the mirrorball. Heather is truly amazing.
I recently watched S6. Technically, for the second time, as I was watching glee when it aired, but post-The Quarterback through the series finale, I more or less zoned out if it didn't involve Brittana. That being said, I had so little memory of S6 as a whole. Anyways... back on track, yes, after actually watching-watching S6, I thought the same thing about how under utilized Heather was.
After working with Beyonce on Single Ladies, the world knew the woman could dance... the Britney episodes just made me appreciate her as the triple threat she is.
WORD. I still go watch that performance from time to time because it's so flipping good! That one and "Run the World (Girls)" are two absolutely killer performances well worth re-watching.
I don't think they knew what to do with her character. First she was just another bitchy cheerleader, then an idiot, then a genius. Toward the end of the series, I imagine the writers' room was like the South Park episode where the government decides how to fix the economy with a headless chicken, a gameboard and a kazoo.
Rumor Has It/Someone Like You is my absolute favorite mash-up!!!!!!!!! I totally thought Thriller/Heads Will Roll would be number one, but anything with Brittney makes me happy.

Love that this list gives the spotlight to some of the other characters. Santana, Mercedes, Brittany etc were all so talented. Of course Lea is a phenomenal singer, but I think most fans got a little fed up of the incessant Rachel bias. Anyway, my favourite Glee performance is The Scientist. It’s the one song where I think everyone shines so perfectly.
i am glad that "bad romance" at least got an honorable mention because that song is honestly one of the best vocal arrangements the show ever did. naya on the bridge still gives me chills every single time i listen to the repetition of "i don't wanna be friends" that builds up. (also, personally, "me against the music" was more iconic than "i'm a slave 4 u" but i will admit that they nailed the visuals.)
Thank you for making Brittany number one! Let's be honest no one could've done that episode or number the way Heather did. I started to think who else could've done it and I started crying.
Teenage Dream was so good but the Umbrella/Singing in the Rain is nothing but iconic! That would’ve been my number one This makes me want to watch the whole series again!

So glad my favorite number came in at #3, but you missed an opportunity to credit the guest appearance of 2CELLOS. Referring to them as just a couple of cello players demeans their credit as the world-wide phenomenon. Either way, great list!
All of Britney’s performances were just amazing. Run the world from Glee is still iconic but for sure the Britney episode is iconic. Her duet with Santana was phenomenal
I loved most of Naya's and Amber's performances on ths show ( RIP Naya😭) and their duos are just SO GOOD. But I AM SO HAPPY we are finally talking about Naya and Grant's version of Smooth Criminal- so underrated. Another performance I really liked was Blaine's version of cough syrup and River Deep Mountain High by Naya and Amber.
IT'S A CRIME that Lea Michele's performance in The Quarterback episode is not even mentioned here!!!!! Her rendition of Make You Feel My Love is one of the hardest that hit us and we're thankful for it! RIP Cory! Finn. RIP Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, and Naya Rivera. 😭😭😭😭😭
The Jane Lynch rendition / shot-for-shot remake of the Madonna Vogue video was straight up epic. It was nothing like anything I ever expected from Jane Lynch, and knocked her several rungs up the ladder of my respect.
Santana and Mercedes were overlooked to many times. Instead of Glee this show should've been called The Rachel Show. Not that Lea isn't talented, it would be stupid to deny that and I'm not saying she shouldn't have been the leader, but this show lasted for 6 seasons and except for the last one they all have more than 20 episodes. There were more than 700 musical numbers, enough to let other people to shine a bit more
The show LITERALLY dropped Rachel off it & people still complain. After season ONE (which Rachel wasn't even that big of a part of the story as people act like, it was mostly focused on the adults/drama/finn/quinn/kurt/& YES Rachel, but she wasn't some HUGE part of it or the ONLY one with songs/story), by season 2-3 Rachel was HUGELY not getting much & even left out of entire plots for 5 episode stretches besides MAYBE a song or a minor joke/story. & Guess what the ratings FELL off the more Ryan gave into fans & gave other people songs/story. Season 4 was primarily the Blaine & Brittany show. LBR. Hell every season since Blaine showed up was the BLAINE show. Mercedes & Santana were handed so much in season 3 & plenty even before & after that. I think you've all been brainwashed that Rachel was given more than she was bc of how the show wrote the chars to hate her so much & your own bias. As a Rachel fan I can say when I watch season 2-3 it's SO BIASED AGAINST HER it annoys the shit out of me. I feel like the whole show is against her. They even had her get expelled so she couldn't sing at competition & it showcased the other people. lol. By season 4 I was watching for breadcrumbs of Lea/Rachel per episode. & There are eps she's not even IN. I WISH it was the Rachel show. Would have been better.
@@tracycook3556 that's your opinion, but not mine or other people. Maybe you're tha one who has been brainwashed. Season 3 was more open and it had number from different characters, but the rest was mainly The Rachel Show. At least that's what it seems to me. And if you only see the Rachel parts on later seasons, I don't think you're an objective person, at least not objective enough to give a fair opinion
@@casckettfriki & I don't think YOU are objective enough. I've seen every episode of Glee at least 30 times. I know every plot of every character. & I mean the Rachel parts are like 8 mins of an episode MAX in Season 4. (usually less) I also love the Santana parts & the Kurt parts. I'm not ONLY a Rachel fan. But as a huge Rachel fan I can say without a doubt the fandom is biased to hate her & they overestimate how much time she gets / how many solos she gets in the show. Maybe rewatch it from start to finish & see how much she is in it. I don't CARE if you don't like her but calling the show The Rachel Show is just bullshit. IMO Will is the mc of season 1 if anyone. Finn is the leader. & Rachel is YES a big part but you can't compare her to main chars of other shows where the entire show focuses on HER & only HER when Glee follows SO MANY CHARACTERS & So many DO get at least AS MUCH as her. Some chars have to be side chars. Every main char in that show gets plenty.
@@tracycook3556 at least I admited that Lea is very talented and I'm ok with Rachel being the center. What I don't like is Rachel's diva attitude and the fact that she has more solos and duets and other kind of songs than anyone in the show. And I've also watched the tv show a dizillion times. Santana barely appears on season 4, at least the first half. And she totally dissapears on most of season 5. And that was due to the fact that Lea didn't want her. So yes, Glee was The Rachel Show, or better, The Lea Michele Show. But you're not gonna change your mind and I'm not gonna change my mind, so it's stupid to keep arguing. Have a nice day
@@casckettfriki No Santana is in most of season 5. Naya disappears after episode NINETEEN of season 5. & Before that is in MOST of the episodes as a major part of it. ALSO Naya's rep confirmed Lea never tried to get Naya fired & Naya since has said she would work with Lea again in 2017 so clearly Lea didn't get her fired or off the show Naya made some accusations that didn't turn out to be true & have since been proven to NOT be true. Maybe do some research idk. I love Naya (RIP) & I love Lea. & Both of them had their issues but they at the end of the day both said that drama was blown out of proportion & they dont hate each other. YOU are proving your bias by bringing Lea into it at all tbh. The argument was about it being the Rachel show. That doesn't involve actors. & Yes you said Lea is talented which I never once even disputed & thank you for that ig? But my issue was with something else you said. & Now you've proven what I figured was the case & you just hate Rachel/Lea the end. As does everyone in this fandom. Nothing new. Bias is your issue. I loved all of Glee's performances, especially whenever Sue would get to led a tune, namely "Vogue", "Bitch" or "Sing." Jane Lynch really has a great singing voice. 🎶😍

Pretty much anytime Santana and Mercedes sing it's going to be brilliant. The Adele mash up is good but holy hell, "River Deep, Mountain High" is perhaps the most incredible duet of the entire series. Also, I am not sure now what they meant "performances that went hard" because to me that's "performances that were almost unnecessarily over the top" (which Glee was not afraid to do) . Does "Don't Rain On My Parade" fit that? Or "Loser Like Me?" Or "Valerie"? Not for me. Teenage Dream was ridiculous staging for a "casual" high school performance so yeah, that one makes sense. "Umbrella" - absolutely. Anything "Rocky Horror", sure. And yes, #1, "Slave 4U" as part of an anesthesia fever dream is absolutely right for this list! Just feel like a lot of the others don't make sense in this framing. Those are just.....good performances?
"Rumor Has It/Someone Like You" is TOO LOW. My Top 5 are: 1. "And I Am Telling You" - Amber sang this LIVE during the filming for pete's sakes!! 2. "Rumor Has It/Someone Like You" - the best mash up from Glee. Argue with the wall. 3. "Don't Rain on My Parade" 4. "Rose's Turn." - needs no explanation. 5. "Faithfully." - I cry every time that curtain goes up, and this is the best Lea sounded throughout the whole series.
My favorite one is Teenage Dream, but they did a good job with Thriller, Somebody to Love, Landslide, Don’t Stand So Close to Me/ Young Girl, Lucky, Everything’s as if we Never Said Goodbye, Somewhere only we Know, Gangnam Style and that Empire State rap.
Of course Brittana had to be on the very Top. Their Me against the music performance is what made me watch Glee. I had already seen many Rachel led numbers that only made me cringe so hard and chance the channel, but Brittany and Santana had that stage presence and coolness that commands your fully attention. Uber talented girls.
What’s stopping producers/video streaming apps to do another GLEE series?! i mean i would want another Glee with new casts (not reboot) but with Will Schuester and Sue Sylvester that would be awesomeee
