Artorias There's also X-Men and Fantastic Four villains for Marvel. But WB has used mainly Superman and Batman for live action movies ever since the late 70s. That's over three decades. If it wasn't for the MCU, they would most likely continue to ignore the rest of DC's roster. Even then, they could screw them up like Doomsday and the Suicide Squad.

***** fanatstic four and xmen are a group i am talking about individuals, fanatstic 4 only have Dr doom and Galactus the rest, not so much. And warnerbros made other characters that went garbage and very bad which was Steel, Jonah Hex, green lantern, Supergirl, Swamp thing, it wasn't really about mcu, they are just late starting a cinematic universe, they did that back in the animated series the DCAU, and they were thinking about doing shared universe but on movies which they didn't so they tried that with green lantern late in 2011 which was garbage. Started with Man of steel which was actually great but BvS and suicide squad were garbage.

The greatest DC villian is easily Lucifer Morningstar. He is the 1st and only villian to ever get his own TV show as the main character. Plus he is the reason all the villians exist in the world as well. He is the 2nd most powerful character in DC comics with only The Presence aka God being more powerful.

TWD-is-awesome I agree, that list has Scarecrow and Hugo Strange but no Zoom -_- pretty pointless list, since only batman fights Scarecrow, not the entire justice League or another DC superhero! And Hugo Strange, he doesn't even fight, just manipulates people. Zoom is sick, he could kill himself, destroy the whole world or even fuck up the universe/timeline just to defeat Flash and make him feel bad instead of just trying to kill him. Don't get me started with Deathstroke, one of my favorite villains of all time

Yup, the Joker deserves the #1 spot. Would have been insane to have anybody else. Even to this day, Heath Ledger's performance has never been matched or beaten. He really is the best supervillian in comic book history.

Reverse flash should have been on the list. He had been tourchring the flash since the beggning . He is also be killed many a times but comes back by creating time paradox each time. Him changing bodies alot in 2nd half being a different actor everytime instead of Neil Sandilands. 2. Not using enough of his own powers and instead becoming more of a megaman where he has tons of powers.

See, Deathstoke being an honorable mention just proves this list is based on popularity. Hell, the guy killed one hundred thousand people during one crime, and the proceeded to kill the team who helped him set the crime up. It's hard to get more devious than that.

Jack Kirby admits Thanos was supposed to be a homage to Darkseid, and that Darkseid was supposed to be Marvel at first (New Gods vs Thor was the original showdown) but then DC made Mongul as an expy of Thanos, so it came full circle.

Bane should be much higher on this list (top 5 at minimum) Vandal Savage, Scarecrow and Poison Ivy should be on this list. Batman really got the best villains in DC universe.

***** I assume everyone here would have known what I meant by killed. We are talking about comic heroes mkay, dying temporarily for a month or two is as close as you get to "death" in comics, generally speaking.
