Because this list sucks. The person who made this video obviously didn't do enough research or read enough comics and just put Superman's villains on the list.
@@yorgfigure6164 Yeah. Plus, if I remember correctly, the new 52 buffed him so much that Superman alone was his bitch. And I think I recall him withstanding the combined attacks of all the JL.
I get the joke you made there. Since every person has a Dark SIDE, you could call it our greatest villain. As a saying goes, the greatest battle you can ever fight, is the battle within yourself.
+Davie Meister lol but you're right. Darkseid exists in all beings, he's the guilt you feel when you cheat, the depression you feel when something bad happens, the little voice that tells you to do bad things. Every creature, at every waking moment of their life is constantly fighting Darkseid. He's the "ultimate villain" not just because he's unfathomably powerful, but because he's the enemy of all things. The body that Superman and the League battle is only one small portion of the concept that is "Darkseid". Plus I mean he's an undying infinite god that transcends space and time and seeks to murder free will and is the rightful ruler of existence. Theres literally a mathematical formula in DC that proves Darkseid is the end result of existence, and that all life should submit to Darkseid. And he double dips. 2.bp.blogspot.com/-lYMa-y9ngss/W6HigeKSvoI/AAAAAAAAGKw/QusZLilNIEIWvP7XJiz-mbIOcKTjOZFAwCHMYCw/s0/RCO006.jpg
Ya know, I really think Starro would've been a good first villain in the Justice League movie. Starro could also help add to the "darker tone" that the DC cinematic universe likes to establish by adding a bit of a horror element to the story. But this is just my nerdy two cents.
I love Keith David. He's always played intense characters in the movies and his voice is taylormade for a comic book villain. Kinda like a "call back" to James Earl Jones as Darth Vader.
Kush Garg I think because both the Legion and the Injustice League are technically the same thing: a team of super villains made to counter the Justice League.
This Is My List 1: Darkseid 2: Joker 3: Lex Luthor 4: Brainiac 5: Anti - Monitir 6: Crime Syndicate 7: Injustice League 8: AMAZO 9: Starro 10: Vandal Savage
3 of the top 5 Justice League villains are in Superman's Rouges Gallery. Shows you how tough and epic Superman is. When 3 of his villains are rivals of the Justice League.
WatchMojo's list is fine, but here is mine: THE TOP 10 JUSTICE LEAGUE ENEMIES 10. Hyperclan - They neutralized the JLA and turned public opinion to their side; Secretly White Martians who proved their danger yet again; The only reason they lost was because of underestimating Batman. 9. Starro or Amazo - Starro caused them to join in the Silver Age and seems like a B-Movie monster played seriously (and yet goofily sometimes) with impressive psychic powers and obsession with control. Amazo is the JLA fighting themselves all at once basically and such an iconic villain that recurringly threatens them. 8. Prometheus or The Red King - Prometheus curbstomped the League and used the Watchtower to destroy Star City; Red King uses dangerous alien technology and manipulates probability to cheat his fights with the JLA 7. Alexander Luthor Jr. - The man behind "Infinite Crisis"; A dark mix of Superman and Lex Luthor; Can alter reality and manipulate beings like Superboy-Prime to suit his needs. 6. Libra or Mandrakk - Libra is a skilled manipulator and orchestrated the "Final Crisis" and Mandrakk wanted to feed on our dying reality, putting everyone in the universe at risk. 5. The Crime Syndicate - Evil counterparts to the JLA and make for interesting reflections into what the JLA could have ben if things were different; "Forever Evil" 4. Anti-Monitor or Imperiex - Anti-Monitor is a multiversal threat and Imperiex is the embodiment of entropy; "Crisis on Infinite Earths" and "Our Worlds At War" 3. The Injustice League or Legion Of Doom - Collective archenemies to the JLA; "Rock Of Ages" and "Justice" 2. Agammemno - One of the Silver Age villains; Brilliant strategist who joined the Injustice League; Has awesome psychic powers 1. Darkseid - God of Tyranny; Has the support of Apokolips; Caused them to unite in the New 52; "Final Crisis"
Brainiac is part of (and co-leader) of the Legion Of Doom. I prefer to think of him as a Superman villain primarily....this list is really JLA exclusive....Brainiac destroyed Krypton and kept Kandor to himself, is smarter than Superman and often uses his extensive alien network to outmatch Superman, and of course, Brainiac is the dreaded force that all Kryptonians loathe. I do like Brainiac, just more as a Superman villain...just like how Lex Luthor isn't on the list.
Yeah, he's a serious threat with a wide variety of superpowers, including the ability to alter reality to a small scale thanks to the Materioptikon that he wields on his chest
>It was during the New52 Darksied War that he became one of the leagues most dangerous villains. Are you saying him eating all universes did not make The Anti-Monitor supremely dangerous?
Am I the only person who knows about Imperiex, the villain who is so powerful that Darkseid, Mongul, Brainiac and all the heroes had to team up to beat him
10. Amazo 9. Starro the conqueror 8. White Martians 7. Vandal Savage 6. Despero 5. Doomsday 4. The Secret Society of Supervillains 3. The Crime Syndicate 2. Injustice League 1. Darkseid (and his henchmen)
No he shouldn't. Almost everyone on the list has defeated the League at one time or another. If it was just a list of guys that could defeat the league then sure. But the list is a list of their best villains and most of these are people they deal with often.
You forgot Injustice Superman because his sanity slippage due to the deaths of Lois Lane and Metropolis caused him to become a Evil King of his alternate world and tried to destroy his mainstream counterpart as well as his Justice League and steal the other world's Lois
Steppenwolf = Loki Brainiac = Ultron Darkseid = Thanos Truly wouldn’t be surprised if that was the order of how the villains would be revealed in the DCEU. Let’s face it though, it’d be so good.
Andrei Savulescu your right, the only thing similar between the two is that they are mechanical which ultron is fully and brainaic is semi. Ultron wants to wipe out life and brainaic wants to collect knowledge. Ultron spreads viruses, brainaic telepathically hacks machines. I don't understand how people think that they are similar
Wrong, wrong and wrong. While there are similarities, the differences are greater. Start with Darkseid. He is ruler of Apocalypse. Thanos rules nothing. Thanos worships death: Darkseid uses death as a tool. Darkseid seeks dominance: Thanos, destruction. Brainiac is a closer analogy. But when did Ultron shrink a city and put in a bottle? And Loki is an ancient Norse god. He answers to no one. Steppenwolf is a lacky to Darkseid. He doesn't act without orders from the boss. Kalibak might be a better analogy to Loki. Anyway, keep watching, eh? It's sure to be fun.:)
If they do the Injustice League for Justice League 2 I would like to see this roster with my fan casting: Lex Luthor- Jesse Eisenberg The Joker- Jarod Leto Black Adam- The Rock Gorrilla Grod- Chiwetel Ejiofor (voice) Cheetah- Beyonce Deathstroke- Joe Manganiello Sinestro- David Tennant Metallo- Ed Skrein Poison Ivy- Jessica Chastain And for the Justice League I would like to see this roster of the team in the sequel Superman- Henry Cavill Batman- Ben Affleck Wonder Woman- Gal Gadot The Flash- Ezra Miller Aquaman- Jason Momoa Cyborg- Ray Fisher Shazam- Zachary Levi/Asher Angel Green Lantern- Edris Elba Green Arrow Matt Damon
The important thing here is that most of the biggest "justice league villains" are superman's villains in the first place. After you undestand that fact you will understand how big superman is, and how we don't need a league. Sure, it's fun and fine to have a league but to be honest it doens't work that well when you two guys that can basically do anything that the writter wants to (batsy and supes). Their continuity in the comics toward their powers are super stupid. Superman is my favourite hero of all time, but he needs better writters and just one singular story with continuity among comics. Like for example don't start over and over and over because that doesn't help the character at all.
Sure I agree with that but the problem isn't the characters, it's with the writters I had an issue. They're doing it so wrong, that batman is now a gary stu and superman is also a gary stue, how the fuck did you make the best 2 heroes in a gary stu? I know one of the problems is having them bouth in the same universe, because in my mind is very hard to make it work, because superman doesn't need batman and batman is not a character to save the world, he's at his best when the problem is just arkham or a building like that, the same problem I had with spiderman. Batman is the only member of the justice league that doesn't have powers, and yet we have tower of babel, really? so I had to believe that batman had a single plan to defeat any member of the justice league and none of the members could defeat batman? sure because batman allways have prep time and can beat anyone who stands in his way, like that time he dodge darkside's omega beams...wait whattttt??? just because "he's batman", that is just bad writting. Or the simple excuse that people said it's because superman was holding back and trying not to kill batman...mmm ok I can get behind that but how can you expline to me when darkside punch batman? He's a super being, a villian, doesn't have to contein himself because he doen's care about batman, so...do you see my point about bad writting? And don't make me start with superman unbound because that movie drive me crazy.
Yes, because I remember Despero, Starro, Amazo, Anti-Monitor, Deathstroke, Dr. Destiny, Dr. Light, Eclipso, Felix Faust, Joker, The Key, Prometheus, Queen Bee, Ra's al Ghul, Sinestro, T.O. Morrow, and Vandal Savage as being Superman's enemies.
Chris Kon Green Lanterns are my favorite characters! Hal is my #1 favorite (and oh my god he's strong as hell now), but theyre all great. Even the two newest Lanterns are awesome.
Chris Brown the only avengers villains that are good are thanos, galactus, doom on some occasions and ultron. The rest are either one time villains against the group or not interesting but this is just me
Amazo should be higher on the list, he was unstoppable in one justice leauge unlimited episode where he traveled the whole universe and collected millions of super powers.
Joker is the ultimate DC villain killing not only robin(jason todd) but also Joker's action led to the death of lois lane and their unborn child in the injustice arc
Notice how all villains like darkseid have been actually defeated but Amazo haven’t, I think amazo should be 1# because the justice league didn’t actually stop him, he left twice thinking he had no use in the would defeating the justice league, he also calling them weak and useless, Martian manhunter also said that amazo was a god, he took out every hero not just the justice league.
Even though you warned that this list was based on villains who'd fought the Justice League in any incarnation, this felt like it was conceived by someone who was mostly familiar with the Justice League from cartoons. I definitely agree with Despero and Amazo, but in place of Luthor and Brainiac, I'd put Dr. Destiny, the Royal Flush Gang, and T.O. Morrow. Also, as I recall, the two times Grant Morrison set Luthor's Injustice League on the JLA, they didn't fail through lack of cooperation, but because a bigger, more cosmic menace interfered in Luthor's plans.
