He is and probably always will be my favorite fictional villain of all time. He’s got everything all other good villains have times ten. Awesome outfit, scary voice, terrifying and powerful presence, incredible superpowers and an awesome theme song. Plus his sad backstory and a cool surprise twist in his storyline. Truly an awesome villain
Even though Heath Ledger’s Joker introduction was legendary, we can’t forget Jack Nicholson’s legendary introduction as the Joker, his laugh when he sees his face and his dialogue with Grissom are really great. “Mirror. MIRROR.” “It’s me, sugar bumps.” “You set me up over a woman, A WOMAN, you must be insane.” “Jack? Jack is dead my friend, you can call me Joker, and as you can see, I’m a lot happier.” “Oh what a day.” “Wait’ll they get a load of me.” “Hahahahahahahahahaha”
It's criminal that Vader is not on here. Two face from Batman forever would have been good too. When the anticipation of him turning to see his face and show the other side was creepy at first and with the laugh was good with the reveal too. The Terminator. T-800 and the T-1000 were awesome villain intros. The way they had the scene with Arnold punch threw the body and lift the body in the air and then drop it with his arm covered in blood and doing it with one arm, that was badass. Sad that these are not on that list.
Megatron in Transformers. His introduction was when he first got unfrozen by his Decepticons. Which was indeed terrifying. Same with Lockdown when he kills Ratchet. And Scourge at the opening scene for Rise of the Beasts.
@YehielCertner Yeah, but Unicron also had a good intro, appearing from in between two suns and proceeding towards an unexpecting planet and then proceeding to feast upon the planet and it's people before lighting up the ring and carrying on like nothing had happened, in just one scene you get the sense that the threat is MUCH bigger than the Autobots vs Decepticons and how would they deal with it lingers in your mind as we go into the intro!!
Yes! And the music they gave him is perfect! Wish they kept the deleted scene where he fights the foot members that failed to capture April while sitting Indian style! Badass!
Watched the original TMNT movie when I was 9 years old. The entrance of The Shredder was just amazing. Had goosebumps. The fear, power, respect in that scene. 😳🥵🥶
I’m glad Shredder is on this list but he should have been higher. He is truly a force to be reckoned with with a presence that immediately demands your attention and your fear.
Still to this day no mater how many times I watch the masterpiece that is The Dark knight. It sends chills down my spine at that man’s absolutely stellar performance. That bank robbery scene and his performance throughout the whole movie is insanity. RIP Mr. Ledger.
I remember when I saw the Shredder in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles enter his lair I thought I was both scary and badass at the same time. The music made it even way better
All these years and Shredders intro is still the best. I actually felt like rewatching it a few hours before this video was even posted. Good job reading my mind.
Shredder was the best! I was 10 in a theatre to see Back to the Future 2 and TMNT was one of the trailers and Shredder's entrance scene was the beginning of the preview and my cousin and I lost our shit and started flailing around in our seats. No Internet then so previews were a huge deal and we won the kid lottery with that entrance.
Darth Vader. Heath Ledger’s Joker version. Christopher Nolan’s Bane version. The live action ‘90s movie version of the Shredder. Norman Osborn AKA the Green Goblin (played by Willem Dafoe).
The Dark Knight is my favorite film of all time. But Thanos's introduction was the best one. That monologue is incredible, the pacing, the cinematography, the music, the fight with the Hulk. Just sublime!
Shredder from TMNT '90 will always be my #1. The entrance, the cape, about 100 ppl in the room and they're all silent. Music plays, and then that voice
Zoom from CW is the best supervillain of all time imo. His introduction was way better than anyone in this video and he wants to destroy the multiverse, he loves darkness and has no sense of morality
While not the first introductions of these villains in the movies, still epic introductions to their confrontations with the good guys: -Darth Maul confronts Obi Wan and Qui-Gon as Duel of the Fates starts playing -Vader hallway scene with the rebels in the dark
The bodacious TMNT sequel Secret of the Ooze has Shredder's new mutants Tokka and Rahzar introduce themselves by ignoring the turtles' best attacks, and tossing Donatello all the way across the junkyard to smash into a shed. Great way to show they're far more powerful despite merely being 'babies'.
Missing Ras Al Ghul on this list. Batman Begins stays getting shown no love, criminally underrated. Wouldnt have Dark Knight or Dark Knight Rises without it. Smh
Thanos #1 by a mile, his intro gets voiced while holding a God by his head, then toys with Hulk, then kills a God, and chokes out a wizard all within 15mins, he made me feel hopeless....😒
@@jesseowenvillamor6348 - Whoever had the idea of this ranking is a demented individual going senile who shouldn't be allowed on the streets and instead place into care at nursing homes. Just until they get 'better' by doing 'better' ranking of course.
I think its lower because its not his true introduction, he it was his 3rd time on screen. If he was introduced like that to begin with, then yeah he would've been top 3 for sure.
An underrated villain intro in my opinion is Donald Pierce in Logan. He's menacing but in a much more subtle way than a lot of the villains on this list. Costume design is cool with the gold tooth, orange sunglasses, bionic arm. Also the southern accent doesn't hurt either. A great opening line too "As I live and breathe, the Wolverine. And he's a junkie now." Wish Boyd Holbrook got more screentime in the movie.
Voldemort’s intro in the Goblet of Fire: always gives me chills every time I rewatch the film. From Wormtale conducting the ritual to have Voldemort re-born, the harrowing score and knowing that from that point on the second wizarding war had begun
Darkseid had a badass introduction, except they showed him being injured by someone we know can lose against one of the Justice League. Even though it was a younger Darkseid it just took some credibility away from him. I was honestly excited to see a live action Darkseid, and they made him look pretty damn awesome. Just disappointed all around lol
I have a long list of favorite movie villains. But my all-time favorite is a 5-way-tie between Lord Voldemort, Emperor Palpatine, Thanos, Joker and Sauron
Venom spiderman 3, kingpin ( daredevil/ hawkeye), jigsaw( punisher the tv series), joker ( Batman 1989), Ronan the accuser, Erik killmonger, yellow jacket, kang the conquer
(Wished u guys added Darth Vader,his intro was absolutely horrrifying I mean he strangled a dude during his intro) These supervillian intros were so awesome 😎 and terrifying 😨 Best ones 2 me were: 🌟Thanos 😈 🌟Spot 😈 🌟Green Goblin 😈 🌟Doc Ock 😈 🌟Joker 😈 🌟Bane 😈 🌟Starro 😈
Abomination- The Incredible Hulk Scarecrow- Batman Begins Carnage- Venom Let there be carnage T-1000 Terminator 2 Judgment Day Shiwan Khan- The Shadow Iron Monger- Iron Man Malebolgia- Spawn Violator- Spawn Electro- The Amazing Spider-Man Darth Maul- Star wars The phantom menace Cassandra Nova- Deadpool and wolverine
I know it was brief but I got chills when Thanos was introduced in the first Avengers movie. I remember like yesterday in the movie theatre yelling“Thanos.” I also maybe in the minority but that’s how he should’ve looked.
What the hell, no Jack Nicholson's Joker in the famous "You can call me...Joker!" scene. Also, doesn't "Darth Vader" count as a supervillain? If so, where is he on the list? Or is it just DC and Marvel?
I'm a casual MCU fan at best but Thanos's introduction was one of the best I've even seen. To see how easily he took out the Hulk within the first 10 minutes of the movie hooked me for the rest of Infinity War.
I feel like Darkseid was bumped down a few levels without a ceremonious introduction. He was a war mongering god who killed Atlantians, Athens, and Middle Earthlings without rest or retreat. He just sat there and slayed like the atypical warrior he was. He was probably a good match for Ares if he wanted to be.
I’m sorry man, I’d definitely switch 3 and 1.. Banes entrance was CRAZY!! His voice shook the theater when I first saw it and I KNEW his dialogue throughout the rest of movie was going to be one for the books!! 😮💨🔥
The best supervillain I met at age 13. It was a school night and I was told to go to bed. But when I refused, I heard our rotary phone being slammed down and the words…alright god damn it! IM MAAAAD! My almighty mother has spoken.
Of course Joker was #1; his intro was a display of his intricate genius. Say what you want about Avengers: Age Of Ultron, but his intro is haunting. A couple of these could've been switched to "honorable mentions" to make room for the classes reveals of Darth Vader and (1989) Joker. They definitely deserved their places on the list.
I like the introduction line on behold, galvatron. The moment he was given his minions and ship, the first thing he do was to kill starcream that all the years megatron cant.
For me: 1. Bane 2. Darth Vader 3. Joker 4. Ozymandias 5. Shredder 6. T-1000 6.5 Sauron 7. Agent Smith 8. Voldemort 9. Mad Dog 10. Ma-Ma I foresee the Crooked Man being on this list once the new Hellboy arrives. Honorable mention is Kevin from Sin City That’s all I got so far 😅
Vader is Star Wars just as Shreddar is TMNT, Magneto is X-men, Bane and Joker are Batman, and Unicron is Transformers. All are far more dangerous and more powerful than Thanos. I mean come on, Vader controls the force and can kill without touching his opponent, Shredder has an entire army of ninja at his back and is an alien an entire universe fears, Magneto has so much power he could rule the world if he wanted to but he just wants a safe place for his kind(mutants), need I explain Bane and Joker? And Unicron has been around since time began and multiverses fear him, it takes the power of the Matrix and all that is good to stop him.
Skeletor's entrance in "Masters of the Universe" (1987) is powerful. He speedwalks to the throne chair in Castle Grayskull while slamming his Havoc Staff on the ground occasionally and listening to Evil-Lyn's report. The audience gets a good look at his face once he turns around to sit in the chair and claim that Grayskull is his. Even his transformation into the god form is strong.
The description of the Joker introduction is somewhat incorrect. Those baddies dropping each other in succession was a part of the Joker’s plan. Which is even more terrifying.
