@@ginoborrero2222 I don’t think it’s canceled, I believe it’s on hold so they can see if there’s any interest when they finally release the prequel animated series called Secrets of the Mogwai. It’s supposedly coming out this year but I haven’t heard anything from the series except from last year when they showed off some concept art and that Joe Dante was involved with the series as a creative consultant.

His death was at July 21, 2004. He worked on Looney Tunes: Back in Action but due to his declining health he couldn’t finish the score, so John Debney (composer for Inspector Gadget, The Relic, I Know What You Did Last Summer and many other works) took over and finished the rest. Jerry later died 8 months later after the film’s release date (came out on November 14, 2003).

My only gripe with Gremlins 2 was how it sort of ignored the 4 main Mogwai/Gremlins. As the leader I don't think Mohawk got nearly enough time, nor did he even really feel like a leader (he was rarely seen with the horde of Gremlins.) George/Lenny and Daffy felt like side characters, and their deaths were pretty much offscreen. I know the movie was essentially pure satire and was so creative it probably had way too much to pack in, but it would've been cool to see the original spawned Mogwai fleshed out a bit more.

I feel Mohawk did get to shine though as he was the first one to attack and it was legitimately was scary, he builds up a rivalry with Gizmo as he constantly bullies him which given its own climax by let's not forget, Mohawk's return as the Spider Gremlin which is probably the scariest scene in the movie.

I don't think Greta Gremlin will ever get wet - won't dare mess up her hair, her clothes or her make-up, not ever for a second. And writing on the floor in pain while other gremlins are being born, that's hardly a glamorous look
