Trying to solo world bosses was the first challenge i took upon myself before I stepped into vet dungeons and trials. It taught me a lot about interrupting, not standing in red and blocking heavies. When I finally got my butt into vet dungeons, after parsing 20k on the 3 mill, I couldn't understand why people around me died so often. Soloing stuff teaches you a lot of skills you can use, in your own pace, before you step into vet dungeons.. A dead player isn't useful to anyone really. I'm still learning but I highly recommend testing your mettle against the ones in this list. Good video Hack!

What's also fun is exploring boss mechanics in a fight. For instance not doing any damage to see what's on a timer and what triggers at hp loss

Vet Maebroogha was my teacher in that regard. My first time reaching her, I spent AN HOUR trying to kill her. It wasn’t until I took my time with her, really paid attention to all that was happening around me, and stopped rushing that I can now beat vet vateshrwan with no deaths. I was too used to beating everything to death with my stats lol

My first attempt at this guy was my Murkmire bound Argonian, went in blind and I was feeling pretty good as my Champion of the Hist Armor was doing well to keep me alive and rockin my Ult count, then I noticed the totems were endlessly healing and I was like, cry for help :P

You can solo walks like thunder! Just keep it in front of the vine door dps when you can and have an aoe ult like the destro staff ult to destroy the totems, there are only 3 to 4 totems that spawn when walks like thunder is by the door and they are all close to each other so you can easily hit the boss and all the totems with one destro ult.

If you don't have a group of 6 or more or simply don't do enough dmg on solo, this boss is impossible

I don't really know if the bosses there are the nastiest, but that Uz-something guy had to just raise his "paw" for my thicc Khajiit to die. We must have been 3 or 4 (more like 4) to take him on, I died twice and some other dude died too. He's savage. Those I had taken on in Glenumbra (along with another player) were easier.

Im surprised this wasnt on the list, It is an easy boss for 2 or more people, but solo pretty much impossible. The feeding thing fills his health and does alot of damage. You can survive the feeding but because of the healing you cant really kill wuyuvus solo.With two people its simple because the feeding can be quickly interrupted with a bash.

Wow watching this video two years later and Wuyuvus is a joke of a boss now... ESO has definitely changed a lot since this video posted. Just hexos + nirn + pale order on almost any build to solo anything in the over world these days. Switch nirn for overwhelming surge for near infinite Magicka sustain and some decent AOE dmg at the same time. Works exceptionally well on magplar

Great list! As someone who has done each world boss in the game solo, I agree with your #1. Personally the three crow bosses in Clockwork have always been in my top 3 and a couple of the new bosses in Blackwood are making their case for why they should be in the top 3 as well. You should make a list of hardest public dungeon group bosses to solo.

I remember when we had this video for the base game world bosses and were suggesting picks for DLC ones. Brings me back. As for those I cleared solo (as DK tank / stam focused): 10, 9, 6 and 3. Some of these I will never have the patience to bother lol. Especially 2.

agreed. the fact that Clockwork City‘s crow bosses are in this list (i defeated them on my first try and never thought about them again) but not B‘Korgen or Wuyuvus doesn‘t sit right with me. Wuyuvus can‘t be solo‘d because of it’s swallow ability, and B‘Korgen is just all around nasty af.

Hey Hack, idea for a video for you.. List all the dungeons you CANT solo even on normal due to mechanics, like the two levers in imperial city prison. It would be a huge help for players like myself who love to solo dungeons but sadly end up wasting time being stuck at mechanics

Love the vid. You def are a eso constant if you know it or not. Im on Playstation and ppl def know who you are. You and Ghost are more user compatible than those meta channels. Still waiting for a fun vid of fails...would speak volumes to the community. This is a good start tho ;)...not that you failed but just being a normal player.

It’s the adds. They rush to you and explode for massive aoe damage. I switched to my tanking set and each add still did like 5k of my life.

Soloed Walks-Like-Thunder today on my stamblade. It nearly broke me. One of the hardest parts was actually not getting interrupted by some other player looking for an easier kill. The fight with WLT would often reach a stalemate for me since my dps isn't incredible or anything (1 overland set, 1 crafted set, 1 monster set and no mythics). Eventually, after lots of rearranging of my bars and trying to squeeze as much dps out of my kit as I could (including using weapon power pots), I eventually got him down. There's definitely a luck component since many of my attempts he would spam his heal totems. The time I actually killed him, he didn't seem to do them as often, instead placing some damage totems when I was expecting heals. Once I got him far enough into execute range, he was toast.

I 2 manned Walks like thunder, he was on his magplar and I was on my necro. Basic strat he kited boss while I took out the totems. Took a couple of tries, but we did it. Ideally you want two ranged to take out totems and one to tank/kite boss

I was able to solo walks a while ago, I haven't tried it since CP 2.0 though. I went full damage magblade (balorgh, bsw, MS IIRC) (you don't really need survivability other than strife hot). Save ulti but keep pressure on him to keep him from healing to full. Eventually RNG will give you two damage totem phases in a row, at that point drop a destro ult and go full nuke. Weave Impale under 25%, soul harvest when you get it.

Actually I just found a way easier way. Take it in the front corner of that little island to the left of the entrance and just parse on it. You can line of sight some of the totems there so they die in dots. It takes ~30k dps to kill it.

Ya, I tried to kill "Walks like Thunder", And I realized early on that this is truly a fight you could not kill solo, just way to many heals on him, even with 2 or 3 people it was on the edge, you almost have to have a person in range of each totem to kill and then some good DPS on the boss, he doesn't take long you just need to use the mechanic, I don't think you can kill him any other way.

Boss number 2 was crazy, I landed in wrothgar with my magcro and started with him today. I immediately died so decided to solo the other wb’s in wrothgar. I returned for number 2 after taking out the other wb’s and out of nowhere an cp200 showed up. We both died probably 3x but luckily not together so the bosses health stayed low and that’s how we killed him 😂

Got all the DLCs. Soloed every world boss with my necro, minus companions. There is only 1 I have not been able to solo. The Unfinished Dolmen in Wrothgar. But still trying.

I would say they should overhaul some of these bosses but at the same time it's an MMO and MMO's are known for having bosses that u are suposed to beat with a party so i dunno, i'm just glad u can solo 95% of bosses in this game with the right setup

Griffins are the fastest for sure. Colossus is easy to kill with a stamina bow build. I could outrun all of it's AOEs, while attacking. It never took me down. I try to solo bosses on every new map before doing the quests. Although I don't see much improvement in my loot.

Forgot to mention that I was surprised Gryphons Run was #3 since each boss is 4,359k health and more than any other bosses. I guess health of adds makes a difference...still learning...

lol Mirri was dead almost every battle. I play as a healer and use Bastian as a tank...it really helps me get thru some of these bosses. I just wish Bastian can aggro all the mobs instead of just like one at a time.

I've only ever soloed #9 mostly because I never visit the other zones. #5 training grounds is where I'm gonna start asap and then #3 because I haven't purchased blackwood I'm a cheap sob and want it on eso+ but I'm aiming to solo that #1 without a companion they suck and always die anyways their use is to mimic to not be lonely

All PC servers are the same, it doesn't matter if you buy from steam or from the website. Just make sure you both pick the same region either NA or EU.

Ok i am looking for more input. I want to build a toon in full heavy sword and shield/bow with the ability to pull over 20k dps for pve. i know this sounds like a dumb idea and it may be but i want to try something new and odd. Was thinking about Orc StamScorc with 2 pets but that is just a thought. what are yalls thoughts i know this is not the place to put this but i am in need of help

I would agree for the most part with the list, but the Gryphons in Summerset is a huge misstep. The sea sload world boss from that same zone should have made the list. I have been able to solo the gryphons both in the past before companions, and recently with, but I have never been able to solo the sea sload. I think the mechanics of the fight (those floating orbs) make it impossible to solo.

You say the first gryphon isn't too challenging but that's the only one that is killing me. I've soloed every other WB I've encountered so far, including unfinished dolmen and every other WB in this list that I have encountered, but the first gryphon has an ability that will oneshot me out of nowhere (up to 30k damage) and there seems to be no way to get around it. Combat recap says it's called vault, and I believe they jump back and throw two gusts at you, but playing in melee range as I do makes them impossible to avoid or block since there is no windup or tell on when it is going to happen, and the boss will always face me no matter where I go. My attempts go fine when that ability isn't used, but every single death has been from an unavoidable oneshot gust out of nowhere, and I am shocked that I can't find any other posts about it. If other people aren't having issues with that attack, maybe my game is just screwed up.

Wuyuvus in Vvardenfell is literally impossible to solo, as it puts you in an unbreakable stun (can only be broken by being bashed by someone else) that just heals it back to full.

Yes, Vuvywuyis is nr1 with Walks Like thunder, not because it can kill you, but because you cannot fight mechanic solo

You can kill him if you can out dps his heal. Of course you also need to stay alive while he pins you.. It's possible, but the balance of survivability plus high dps is really hard to get on an ESO build.

Hack! Not a world boss, but using Mirri as a healer (as you showed ) I was able to solo my first public dungeon (tempest) on normal. She heals me better than me using the Pale Ring. Also I noticed as a mag socr., that using the matriarch, I was able to heal Mirri so well she never died, and became a tank, even though she was set up as a healer.

@@CrimsonTear1996 I had to use the heal a little more than normal, but it was an acceptable trade off when Mirri was both healing me and tanking at the same time, allowing me to lay my dps into the bosses.

For me B'Korgan in Summerset is really annoying. Hits like a truck, constantly shielded so she doesn't take as much damage and with the amount of Pearls it spawns that stun you & shield her is annoying. Plus it takes soo long to kill her unless you have one massive group but even then she'll kill a fair number of them

This video got old, it needs an updated cuz Necrom bosses are the hardest now: Runmaster Xiomara, Vro-Kuul- Sha, Prime Cataloger and Walking Nightmare are almost unsoloables. They are almost like mini trial bosses and their mechs require groups.

You want an almost impossible boss to kill solo, try Wayuvus alone. Between his hungers draining your main ressources and the world boss stun locking you to death while healing himself almost to full, he is a pain to beat solo.

I think the griffons are only hard for a melee player. Multiple small adds make it easier for melee and harder for ranged. So, the correct title would be "top 10 hardest world bosses for melee players". The griffons wouldn't be nowhere near top ten for ranged.

companions? companions are for noobs, its just like hunters in wow, if you use a companions, you are a NOOB And if you use a companion you arent solo :)
