Top 10 HARDEST Shrines in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom 

In the proving grounds shrine you can use ultrahand to grab the platforms and dump the constructs into the water.

The shrine subtitles are kinda like crossword clues to the developers' intentions and helped me solve a bunch. For example, I think the intended solution to Karahatag ("Drifting Flame") is to put the lit candle on the floor that drops down and drift it over the locations where the unlit candles will appear. Then, stand on the button and use recall to make the lit candle "drift" while the unlit candles are extended. Likewise, the Orichium shrine's subtitle is "Courage to Fall", which told me I'd probably have to fall somewhere I didn't think I was supposed to. That's not to say there's a "right" or "wrong" way to solve a shrine, but I do think it's kinda fun to reverse engineer the developers' intentions. It sometimes yields new ways of combining abilities. Some of the subtitles are useless, though. "Fire an Ice", "Flow", etc. - gee, thanks.

That last shrine was very hard at first, but became easy when I realized you can rip the boats out from under the constructs with Ultra hand and drop them to their death in the water. I killed the last boss by pushing him off the highest platform and dropping boats on him until he died.

For the Hyrule Castle shrine you were supposed to use ascend to go through the platforms when they were in place

The last one I completed by ultrahanding the rafts and pulling it out from underneath them. Makes it easier (still died a stupid amount of times)

I have played 3 of them. The one that means using the railways was really fun. Took me some time cause I made it way to heavy. But it was so much satisfaction when it went over the last part. And these catapult mechanics Shrine i loved too and took me some trial and error too. Look forward to your best shrines episode. Hopefully I played some of these as well.

I loved Courage to Fall and Proving Grounds: Flow! Yes I know that you can move the boats to drop them in but I did it normally and I loved the challenge! I loved figuring out Courage to Fall! Yes it took me a bit but when I figured out where the key was and thinking about how to go down and braving the lasers to see if that worked was SO GOOD! And I realized that’s what the name was trying to tell me right afterward lol

You can cheese most of these shrines with recall and ascend. The only one I actually was confused by was the makasura shrine for the same reasons mentioned and I ended up building an enormous skyscraper and paraglided off of it. Plus for some that involving sliding a ball around or a square you can just fuse your weapon with said ball or box and just throw it at the button

Lmao the tukarok shrine was one I was able to cheese from the second puzzle on. I just ultrahanded it to the end.

I’m actually sort of surprised the one where you lose all your stuff and have to go on boats got number one hardest I used the boats to my advantage to knock off the shooters and push off the very tough one into water

A pastor from my church who is a huge Legend of Zelda fan says he spent an hour on the shrine Built for Rails and he still could not figure it out. I went to that shrine not that long after and completed it in five minutes, I did not think I was that smart.

So cool to see that many of these shrines you solved in ways different than I did that I didn’t know was possible

In the Maya shrine you can use recall on the smaller ball, using recall on a moving object cancels its acceleration

I cannot begin to explain how long I spend on Build for Rails… It never occurred to me at all to attach guard rails and flip it over to stablize the platform so it wouldn’t fall off.

If you click back and forth on the map surface and depths, all the shrines are located where they are below the lightroots.

5:06 what I've done was to recall the switch ball then instantly end recall so that way it can fall straight down on to the railing.

On tukarok for the middle part after lava just leave ball attached to vehicle ultra hand it and stand it on end lean against wall on left side of the ledge you need to get up to…then climb ladder grab entire rig (like the wheel that’s within reach now) with ultra hand set on top with you shake ball loose now you can move onto final section…i took two skinny boards attached to the wheels to make them like paddles to get across

Huh, i used acend to get through the shrine in Hyrule castle. Build the platforms with enough stages to acend through while having enough supports so they don't fall off the poles

… I didn’t struggle on any of these, in fact I loved each and every one of them

in the tukarok shrine you can disassemble the first car and use it to get the ball up the ladder where the ending is

Your #3 is my #1. I’m bad at using wheels. Cheated stage 2 with ultrahand-recall. Not realizing you attach the plank to the axis of the wheel and propel through those bars. The 3rd stage, I just placed the vehicle on top of the narrower-width rails on the left side. Lol.

The orechiem one is really simple as long as you pay attention to description/title of the shrine

My favorite part is where he showed the cutest, and ugliest enemy in every mario game.

I cant even count how many shrines ive cheesed with rocket shields. If you need height or go a long horizontal distance, just rocket shield

To be honest, did these shrines in no time. Piece of cake imho. Did had a lot of problems to complete that Sifumum shrine near Lurelin village. Damn, had to try at least 30 times. 🥵🥵🥵

3:10 it's literally called the way up. Use ascend.

2:30 I beat this shrine in a different way than Copycat because instead of Recalling the block to trigger the switch, I made the block go up with the switch, rode the block and used recall to give myself height.

Simple solution to the hardest one in the list. Use Ultrahand to move the platforms, the enemies will fall into the water and die instantly.

The last one is very easy. Just pull the raft from under the construct

Wait, wasn't that shrine with the pegs sticking out an ascend shrine?? I mean, I guess the point is being solvable in any way, but that really didn't strike me as a "recall shrine" when I first played it

0:55 that one was too easy. All i had to do was build a bridge out of the supplies on hand and some random crap in my inventory. 😅

For that first one I just built a flying machine and attached the crystal to it and flew to the shrine😂

5:59 Call me weird, I gave up, created a platform for me to gain height, jumped off shield jumped with a bomb arrow, then shield surf the rest of the way… trust me… it took me a good while

I just completed 3:39 makasura shrine and it was quite easy and my favourite shrine I’ve played so far

On the last one I would use ultra hand and just pull the raft so they fall in the water

Gah damm, I know they say there arent wrong ways to do a shrine, but you definitely take the medal for taking the most brain dead way of trying to solve them.

For the number 10 spot, i'd add the Shrine you have to bring the stone to, while in low gravity. The machine you have to bring it over on is too floaty thanks to the low gravity, and on top of that, you have to beat a Flux Construct 3, first.

In tukarok shrine the last stage I just made a giant bridge and put the ball at the end

Every single shrine is way too easy ,, some of the shrines are just hard to find Then they just give you the blessing which I think is stupid you should have to solve puzzles to get it harder ones ,I didn't use recall even once Well once or twice on a gear to reverse it that's about it.. In fact I rarely use recall if at all ... Number three that you found difficult you can carry all the items by attaching them all together and easy to beat the shrine you literally build the bridge across that water with all the pieces you can carry the ball everywhere you don't need to use the devices

Why would you not do a video on hardest to find shrines and where they are?? There's tons of videos showing how to get thru shrines.

You can pretty much cheat every shrine using the rocket shield

On rails was the hardest for me

The last shrine is easy, just hit the enemy into the water and that’s it
