Yes!!! It's not all the time that a Disney villain is loved (usually we love to hate them) but Yzma is loved period. Eartha Kitt did an amazing job!!!💗💗💗 The original movie has a song, for Yzma, called Snuff Out the Light. Eartha Kitt had recorded it prior to the idea being scratched in replace for Emperor's New Groove. But the song is available on RU-vid and it is amazing!!!

@@RB01.10 They ended up rewriting the whole movie: the original movie was going to be a musical (in order to make more merchandise) and was called Kingdom of the Sun, with Yzma's goal being to destroy the sun in order to preserve her looks with a bargain with a dark god

It's hard to pick a favorite moment with Yzma. The cast was great in the movie, especially Eartha Kitt. I found it ironic she wound up stuck in a kitten body, given her most famous role. I always pictured Yzma as what Catwoman might look like in a few hundred years heh.

Indeed. They ended the TV show prematurely because she passed. And she made it very clear how much she loved voicing the part, since children started recognizing her and kept asking her to do the voice.

Yzma is my ultimate favorite Disney villain. She’s sarcastically evil, but flexible. She’s hot headed but also pretty patient. She funny, she’s glamorous, and to top everything off, she’s voiced by the beautiful and talented Eartha Kitt!!! What’s not to love?! 😻

When this movie was originally released in theaters.. I was 12. Fell in love with it the moment I Saw the trailer. However.. I did not have the opportunity to see it theatrically. Due to that.. my grandmother bought me the VHS tape as soon as it was available. Cannot even tell you how many times I watched this movie. Yzma.. was my favorite.. even though she's not supposed to be. Eartha Kitt did an amazing job voicing her! Rip Eartha Kitt.

I always though it so comical that Yzma was so done up in facial makeup and thrived on her image, but then her bosom jutted out halfway down her body and passersby would describe her as "scary beyond reason". One of my favorite Yzma moments is when she stopped by Pascha's home to find out where he was and she introduced herself as his children's great aunt. In response, she was told by one of Pascha's kids, "you look more like my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-" And Yzma interrupts "Are you done?" "Almost: ......great-great-great aunt!" That was hilarious.

My top 3 Izma's moments are: 1) When she is transformed into a cat and says "is that my voice?" 2) Whenever she says "Kronk pull the lever ... WRONG LEVER!" * 3) When Kuzco turns into a llama and in her little tumtroum she says "He was supposed to be dead! *and btw, Disney should DEFINETLY build a roller coaster in their parks that imitates this ride and gets started with the sound of Izma yelling WRONG LEVER!

@@kayhaven4710 Originally the movie was going to be completely different from what it ended up being. It was originally going to be called 'The Kingdom of the Sun,' have a more serious feel, and one of the main changes made was regarding Yzma. She originally was going to be more of a sorceress, and while she still wanted to seize Kuzco's throne, she originally had an additional plan: We learn that she hates the sun, because she blames it for causing her body to age so poorly. So, she plans to cast some complicated spell which would summon a gigantic demon who'd block out the sun forever and grant her eternal youth. To that end, they had Eartha Kitt record a pretty catchy villain song called 'Snuff Out the Light' which would sum up this plan; while the movie obviously took a different direction and the song was cut, it was included on the soundtrack. Disney later planned to make another sequel called 'Yzma's New Groove' which would have used this plot and the song, but it was cancelled when Eartha Kitt died.
