Honestly found that segment really pretentious and derivative. I think R wanted to have another "John rides into Mexico" moment and it felt forced IMO. Ironic since they nailed it a chapter later on the ride to Beaver Hollow.

Yeah, technology advances so fast. I imagine seeing that moment with early 2000s graphics wouldn't have been the same. And Arthur waving at him made me laugh haha

Charles Arnold this was extremely huge for me first playthrough. That was the moment I just knew the game was gonna start getting really sad moving forward. It was all good feelings up until Sean gets shot. This was when I finally remembered that - oh yeah this is a prequel & most of these characters aren’t in the 1st game. That’s not a good sign & I have a really bad feeling continuing these missions, but I have to know what happens. & unfortunately I was right to to feel uneasy, but got damn was this the best video game experience I’ve ever had. Never before have I felt so attached & upset over characters dying in a game. This game is a masterpiece

Saddest death other than Arthur's imo :( ok maybe not saddest but honestly not given the credit it deserves. It was a huge moment, the fun and games were over and shit was getting real. Sean was/is my favourite member of the gang :( . I suppose there's comfort in knowing it was instant and he never had to see his family divided. Still broke my heart wen Arthur said he was a good kid... I'm currently doing a second not-playthrough. I'm leaving Micah to rot in strawberry forever and not doing the downes mission. I refuse to progress.

i feel like they first didnt want him to swim to get out of the country or smt but later on he can still not swim because he never lernt it, another thing is they probabaly could have made swimming because they already had that in other games like gta san andreas but to avoi them getting outnof bounds they removed it

I remember when the second trailer came out people complained about Arthur not being as compelling as John and saying his accent was off, little did they know they somehow surpassed Marston.

This was more funny the first 30 times I heard it.

@AJGaming I agree. As much as I loved and enjoyed playing as Arthur, John is still my favorite and his "return" in the epilogue was so damn cool. I had goosebumps when he pulled the trunk from under the bed to reveal his classic outfit from RDR1. Great stuff!

Just imagine in a parallel world where John and Arthur are fighting together in rdr1 and you could play as John and Arthur whenever you want Like gta v system anyways lemme explain how Arthur survives in rdr 2 now Arthur back in time was healthy he didn’t have tuberculosis he escaped with John and they killed Micah together they catched him and threw the hellaouuta Micah off the ledge and they escape together .... in rdr1 they worked together to fight Arthur did something to hide his identity in black water because he’s wanted(dead or alive) by shaving everything his face offers eye brows hair and eye lashes facial hair also he burned his right cheek a little bit anyways it works so they fight off Dutch and Javier,bill together.... but at the end ... Arthur Sacrifices himself Says the same words to John and Abigail and jack *you gotta run and don’t look back* Then you decide whether Arthur dies or lives now if you pick make them wait outside option Arthur then ... Instead of opening the gates to shoot them and die he waited inside and he placed lots of bombs inside the barn people outside the barn got sick of waiting they rushed towards the barn breaking onto the barn and Arthur shoots up the bombs he placed and dies everyone dies that’s option (A) now if you pick the other option sacrifice Arthur he does the same scene from rdr1 opening the gates of the barn tryin to shoot everyone in fact he shoots most of them and he dies eventually..then...John goes back to revenge after hiding Abigail and jack by sniping each and everyone there the last guy (Ross) shoots him in the leg and comes for him ... Ross crawling with a broken leg towards the gun ... then John steps at his hand .. *johj pulls the knife* says:I thought i was done ... turns out I lied .. staps Ross multiple times in the leg and the back.. Ross then says:you fucking trash you’re supposed to be dead John there is nothing I could do to prevent you from dying .. then John responds with:I know ..*grabs his head slices his neck* that’s how it ends in a parallel universe sorry for my bad English but you get the idea

God of War was a bigger surprise than RD2 to be honest, the game director took a bigger risk with the changes so its well deserved. No matter what RD2 was gonna succeed because its Rockstar...but God of War? No one could have saw that coming, heck the director even cried nigga!

1, 2 and 7 are my favourites on that list. This game was truly a masterpiece.

The only problem that I have with that moment was they they should've dialed back the dialogue a little bit and let the music play longer. Otherwise, favorite moment of the game for sure.

@@CRob172 Its pretty clear he got it from the Downes guy. He's sick and they force you to do his mission all the other ones you can skip expect the very 1st one. You can also see the guy spit blood in Arthur's face and Arthur wipes it off a little later also Hosea seemed like he had pneumonia more than TB.

Agree i tried for low honor on my second playthrough and i couldn't do it.

If you play bad not killing incidents bad but they robbing,stealing,fight ect. Then when u get the diagnosis switch to like St Arthur for the rest of the game doing nothing but helping,giving,ect it creates the best and most realistic story in my opinion.

Honestly playing low honor but then making the right decision at the end of arthur's life is quite decent. It makes sense for arthur to be a nearly heartless bastard to strangers until he realizes he's dying. It really plays out well.

Really. I played the game on my PS4 in 2019 and decided to play it this month on PC for a new playthrough. And damn, chapter 6 was so depressing from start to finish. It's beautifully acted, beautifully written. You can feel all the emotions better than almost all movies. What a masterpiece of a game this is.

@@t.d.2016 I will admit that I personally like John more because I played the crap out of RDR1.. BUT. I can't disagree. I haven't gone through al of RDR2 yet, but so far Arthur's character is so much about brother/sisterhood and taking care of the gang, which is family. I find Arthur a much more likeable guy without a doubt. Reason people get salty and up in arms about it is because John has been with us since 2010 and Arthur didn't come around until 2 years ago. Nostalgia-goggles. In John's defense. A lot has changed between 2010 and 2018. Rockstar only had Red dead revolver to go off on, making RDR1 a little bit of a shot in the dark. It turned out to be more popular than ever imagined, which is the only reason why we even get to have RDR2. My main issue with making prequals of anything is that prequals usually contain clues and easter eggs to the first installment.. BUT this is a one way deal. There are a lot of things happening in RDR2 that I simply cannot imagine not being mentioned atleast once by John in RDR1. He mentioned the betrayal, but I don't recall any reference to Arthur or Micah, who played key roles in how his life turned out the way it did.

Grand Mac Chapter 1’s not much of a chapter but more of a tutorial and introduction. Chapter 5 (Guarma) is mostly just filler, although it does (in my opinion) has quite an impact on Dutch. While the Saint Denis robbery was Dutch’s breaking point, it definitely shows him losing his sanity and sense of morals. I also think it’s what really loosened Dutch’s grip over the gang, with the disaster in Saint Denis having separated the gang. I respect your opinion, this is just what I think of the chapters.
