More than 200 tamil people living in US protested in front of Peta headquarters in Norfolk, Virgina. We all travelled from all various states to participate in that protest. My wife and I along with another two other tamil families drove in cars from Columbus, Ohio to Norfolk, Virginia ( 9 hours drive most of it was during night). There were folks driving from as far as New York too. When we reached Norfolk the tamil people over there had arranged for accommodation and food for all those visiting from other places. We all gathered and protested in front of the Peta headquarters for more than 2 hours. It is definitely one of the most memorable moments out of the 6 years we have lived in US.

I'm from Karnatak, when the protest started I went to Tirunelveli and joined protest 1 day there and while returning to Bangalore I halted at relative place in Chennai and went for protest in Marina beach #Still feeling goosebumps

Dad I still remember when the protest was at the beginning stage and I was watching it on my home through TV and I said mom I’m going to be part of the protest she sent me very pride and happily. Those moments are still in my mind and really happy and proud to been there, I felt many times when we was the British colonial country I was not there to support for my country but this 7 days protest OMG we everyone stood together for our culture. Also I was proudly part of it being a woman. I was there in that video.. proud me.. We involved in picking up the trash at 12am - 5am.. Also, traffic regulations by the youngsters.. Also, Ambulance was guided by the youngsters.. Also, flashing mobile lights is now a symbol of support in Tamilnadu since Jallikatu !!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍 Also, this steered up protest from all Tamil community all over the world ! When there was Greta Thunberg's for climate change demonstration in Germany.. I had always talked about this protest.. likeeeee all the time...

I realized that in 1947 August 15 , the Whole india must be Stayed like this For independence day! After effect in Marina for a week: People should not walk on group. No phone calling is allowed. Dad, this was might never happened if late CM was there.. she died on dec just a month before this protest. So TN govt and we don't know who would be next CM (Chief Minister) and Supreme court taught this would be right time enforce the law. At the same time, Dec 2016 to March 2017 was toughest time to TN people. Iron Lady sitting CM of TN Jayalalitha died in Dec first week. Dec second week, third week heavy rain and flood. We had IND vs ENG cricket test match happening for the first time in chennai for 2016-2017 season. Jan 2017 Jallikattu protest, Apr 2017, new CM elected If you want more about the Jallikattu issue.. watch RJ Balaji speech in India Conclave 2017.. you will understand better about what is Jallikattu and what Supreme cour and Central Govt action on TN state

I participated in that protest in Coimbatore.. I saw a car show room manager who just took his brazers off during his duty and ran towards the crowd to join us while crowd shouting we want jallikattu.... That moment make me goosebumps...

Yes it was a epic moment when i too joined the protest... As a girl we are not allowed to go to many places!! But when i said that i had gone to the jallikattu protest my parents were very proud..! And appreciated me fr being bold... And the ppl in the crowd was just awesome, everyone treated eachother so much friendly, like a sister, a brother...!! The whole protest was so emotional!! ❤️❤️

I was in Coimbatore when there were only about a handful of people. In just 2 hours VOC grounds were overflowing with people. We didn't know who gave us food or water. A van came, put those stuffs and went. No one publicised and took advantage of this situation to advertise

One of the best part cops tried to jam the mobile signal as the news are spreading viral in social network in marina, our younger brains hacked those jammers with their techie brain. I was proud to be one in first 400 ppl gathered on the first day. Just rerouted my ride to marina from my office.
