Number 4 must've made Joe shed some tears to be able to say that line. The famous line uttered by his father, the legendary Jack Buck, during a World Series broadcast on CBS. Down to the letter, too!
Joe has a knack for making a call as a tribute to a famous call, especially for his dad's. At the final out of the 2006 World Series, he said "for the first time since 1982, the Cardinals have a World Series winner," a nod to Jack's "that's a winner" call after every Cards' W.
@@kurtwittenIn 2014 when Ishikawa hit that home run. “Travis Ishikawa HITS ONE INTO RIGHT THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT.” Similar to the Giants 1954 “GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT.”
Bottom of the 12th Inning, 2004 ALCS Game 4: the AL East Wild Card Boston Red Sox came back from down 3 games to none to win the American League Pennant over their archrivals the AL East Champion and the top-seeded New York Yankees in seven games, in Game 4 at Fenway Park: Boston Red Sox 6, New York Yankees 4 on October 17-18, 2004 with Red Sox DH David Ortiz hit a game-winning two-run home run off of Yankees pitcher Paul Quantrill in the bottom of 12th Inning to win and stave off elimination in Game 4.
Idk why he gets hated on. He’s been the guy I remember for the World Series and fox football since I was six. I’ll never forget the Red Sox breaking the curse, cubbies winning it all for the first time in over 100 years, and David Freese game 6 hr in the 2011 World Series
I remember him as a kid and this is all nostalgic for me too... but lately I realized that everything he says is basically in the same tone and it started to really get on my nerves. For example, whenever he says that it's been hit "deep" he says it the same way whether he thinks it's going to be a home run or caught. Either that or he isn't paying attention to the flight of the ball and/or the outfielder's positioning.
2:08 Goddamn.... The comeback of Boston against the Yankees in the '04 ALCS. You can't write that shit. I mean really... 95 years, an ABSOLUTELY BONKERS INSANE comeback against, of all teams.... their century long rival. I mean holy fuckin shit. It was magical to watch.
"They'd tell you they were 5 outs away, in the 8th inning leading by 3 as Boone hits it to deep left, that might send the Yankees to the world series!"
Joe Buck is absolutely the best baseball announcer there is in my opinion. I know people love Harry Carrey and others. But since the 2000's, he has owned both football & baseball broadcast journalism/announcing.
He's not the best of either. However, he has gotten so much better over the years in regard to baseball. I enjoy his MLB commentary now, NFL....still kinda Meh
conenubi701 “we will se you...tomorrow night.” One if the best plays ever ruined by his shitty announcing, I will say he’s gotten better recently but he used to be bad
lol what is this list? Nothing from before like 2004? Four Red Sox ones? No Yankees (Boone? Three-peat?)? Gee, I wonder if this was made a 18 year old Sox fan…

Look, Being a RED SOX fan I appreciate all the love but there are some better times when Joe has made calls It don't always have to shine down between the Yankees and Red Sox
Was that LeBron James as a fan at the end of the video? When he played for Cleveland and the Indians were in the World Series, he would always go to the game after his game was over
It was. This was months after the Finals where Bron and Cavs pulled the biggest and greatest comeback in NBA Finals history when they were down 3-1 against Steph Curry and Warriors. There was a short video Bron uploaded after game 7 of the WS where he explain that he lost a bet to his former teammate and long time friend Dwyane Wade who was playing with the Bulls during that year. But nonetheless, Bron congratulated Chicago and their historic comeback like he did
I'm a Cubs fan, so I appreciate the top spots, but his best call was the 01 world series with the Brosius home run "it borders on the surreal...here in the Bronx"
Buck is the 🐐 behind Chris Berman, actually they might be even, idk lol,Buck is not very good at football, but Baseball has to be one if the best imo 💪#Announcers
