It's quite weird, sometimes (more plus than minus) he's a madman when sitting in the car, but out of it he's always smiling and seems to be the most lovely person in the world
@@AmanAli-dc1sy If I recall it correct, Lotus is not one of the fastest cars but most tire friendly. So in some circuit, they can have one less pit without lose much pace. But in other circuit they struggled on the pure speed.
@@wuruofan88 the designer of the lotus is the Merc designer now JAMES ALLISON. I do believe they can win WCC if the team were not ran by Eric Boullier, the HR in McLaren Honda 2015-2017
Can't believe this guy got disrespected over and over again for years. Nobody talked about his potential. It took a almost fatal accident to everyone to fall in love with him.
Sadly we live in society where there are very clear things about F1, for example: Lando, Shoey: Funniest drivers Albon: Worst driver Hamilton: my tyres are dead Stroll: daddy's cash And the list goes on... Majority of the fans are so braindead that they just begin to like what big meme channels want them to like, you can't prove me wrong, just check Instagram
He's just a great lad. I'm sure with Mazepin taking over, everyone single person in the paddock is gonna wish they still had Grosjean with the team. The phoenix, indeed.
@@thatonenigeriansformula Let's go from the top, shall we? Assaulted a rival, drives like he's in Mad Max, thinks groping women is funny and were it not for a big fat wallet, he wouldn't have a seat.
Yup. He's not 'one of the greatest' in F1, but still being a really quick, competent driver albeit slightly error prone is still extremely elite club to be in... and he really had pace to win a race even without much luck involved.
There are three kinds of F1 fans - Those that will remember him for Belgium 2012, those that will remember him for Bahrain 2020, and those that remember his potential
@@metro3313 Yeah imagine being worse than the guy that rivalved Schumacher, Alonso and Hamilton, has a WDC and had 10 years of experience while also driving one of his best seasons. Romain is really bad yeah.
For me 6:40 shows what a great man he is! Nothing but respect for this guy. Seeing that understandably wrecked mechanic beeing built up by Grosjean. Great guy
Could you imagine the results if Romain was put in a decent car? I think he is one of the underrated drivers over the last 10ish years he's been racing in F1
I'll never forget those Lotus years. He was a phenom. Crazy how a decade has gone by in the blink of an eye. Romain will be remembered as a solid driver. Competetive and one of the nicest guys in the history of formula 1
When a Sebastian vettel tell you give him the right car and he will be able to win races and even a championship it shows how much he is gifted and talented
Still remember it to this day. As a fan looking for another frenchman to win a race, I was devastated. Needless to say I think 2020 has been a great year for F1.
He has a tendency to push the car a bit too hard, he doesn't purposely knock into people, he just sometimes forgets the limits of the car and whilst sometimes that works brilliantly sometimes it ends in a wall.
@@jamesfletcher474 So Verstappen is also a bad driver, because he didn't win the championship during his rookie year? Come on, be objective! And in 2013 Raïkonnen finish 3rd .. Lotus wasn't fast enough
Grosjean was quite brilliant when he debuted in 2012. I remember that I had felt that he would go on to be a regular on the podiums given his talent. But the quality of his cars, bad decision making and other factors weighed in more than his talent. He has my love and respect.
Exactly this. Whenever he got past the first lap of a race he could be *incredibly* quick, quicker even than teammate Kimi at times. It's just he had almost literally a 50/50 chance of pranging into someone on the opening lap before he could show his speed.
Those pit stop failures in Melbourne break my heart each time. The team with the smallest budget proving that money isn't everything. Would have been so beautiful to look back on
@@kohikappu He forgot that Raikkonen has twice the experience (when they were teammates it was even worse). And the Video itself Shows two Team Orders which have RAI an Advantage.
He might have had his bad moments, he might have had some crashes... but you can't take it away from Romain, he's a quick and talented driver that is a great team leader!
yeah he is a little error prone but replacing him with nikita mazespin? NAHH and that dude had the same amount of podiums as perez with racing point/sauber/force india he got 2 more podiums with redbull
@Formula 1 Thank you so much for this clip. I dont have that persception of Romain as just a car crasher anymore. A lot of people might think its just empathy and emotions but I think he genuinely deserved all these years in F1.
@@subashnambiar4651 no need to act offended, 10 podiums puts Grojean above average, but that doesn't make him special. People will remember Grojean for other great reasons, not for podiums though. Lewis on the other hand has 164 podiums, now that is special.
@@christianphillipampoloquio6484 Go to the youtube channel Sim Dane, he made a remix of the song My Heart Will Go On from Titanic and called it My Heart Will Grosjean
This man has been in F1 for all the time I have been a fan of F1 (almost 10 years), it’s so sad to realize that he won’t be on the grid anymore. Unforgettable moments he gave us 😀
@@coeurdesmers9778 man, did you see the video?😅 Whenever he was set to have a big result, team orders kept him behind. Besides, his teammate was a 1 time champion and raced in F1 from 2003, whereas Grosjean was at his very beginning...
Its heartwarming how he consoled the mechanic who made a mistake. Even though he lost a hard and well deserved race he still put his team ahead of him. No hate to the mechanic, I wouldn't know the stress of complexity of the job but the way grosjean handled his heartbroken mechanic is truly wholesome.
Everyone always criticizes this guy, but he has a real heart of gold and is personally my favorite. He always has a great attitude and really deserved a win. I hope he returns to F1 with a better team and can show the world his potential
I've always respected and loved Grosjean even tho he has cause some crashes in recent years but it really took a near death experience for yall to actually appreciate him.
For me, it's his off-track personality that has defined him. I've not really been aware of his racing talent because of missing all of his Lotus years, and having seen more crash memes than overtaking highlights, but it was how he handled Australia 2018 that is my first thought as to his character. Even if he doesn't race in F1 again, I reckon we'll see him in the paddock in some role or other before too long.
He's one of the most underrated drivers ever and my favourite too! It's sad we won't be seeing him race next year but I hope he'll return to F1 one day.
It was a joy seeing him in Indycar. His skills and experience from F1 was really visible. I loved Laguna Seca where he overtook so many cars and really had enormous speed.
Grosjean is a driver with lots of talent and someone who can bring a lot to any team. He is not aftaid to speak his mind and has the experience to back his claims. He is very funny, caring and loving, it's just sad to see him being a target for memes and ending his career on a low. I wish the best for Romain.
I'm glad he's being presented in a more positive light. There have been far worse drivers with far worse attitudes and skill. Thank you Romain and have fun in the future!
