13:11 i'm sorry but that had me in sobs laughing. 😂😂😂 Who knew taking down Wesker would be as simple as feeding him to a giant frog. You got Chris punching boulders and hitting him with rockets, yet here comes Lurky the Froggo just eats him like he's nothing. 🤣🤣🤣 Edit: i'm aware its not actually Wesker its probably just a skin, but its still funny to see Wesker get downed by what is essentially a giant frog. And that Moth is one of three reasons i never finished that game. Used up way too many resources in that corridor and used the Blue Herb pot so much i'm pretty sure it stopped giving me more Blue Herbs. I do not understand what they were thinking when they decided to put that in the game. They must have been cackling like cartoon villains at the thought of how much this one spot in the game was going to annoy people because no way in hell is the Moth hall that annoying by mistake.
Personally I absolutely hate the four legged molded in RE7. They move quicker than normal molded, are harder to hit and can jump towards you. I even died to the exact same one twice during my Madhouse playthrough. Killing them with a good shot to the head with a shotgun or enhanced handgun ammo will do the job but they're still an absolute pain. Especially if there's multiple of them.
Those little bastards were the bane of my life whilst attempting JMD difficulty on the End of Zoe DLC. Hell, I beat the section where you face 2 of the vomiting fat molded on my first try and I couldn't even kill one 4 legged creepy crawlies because they are so hard to even hit especially when they leap at you and insta kill you even if you block....
I just knew moths were going to be number one. I love Code Veronica but those damn moths hate them. The worst thing about leech zombies is that most of the time they appear in small spaces so is hard to avoid their hits. The other ones that are annoying in R.E 0 are the cockroaches in the training facility. Specially the ones that appear in the small room beneath the place you fight the giaant centipede
Fortunately though it's possible to shake off the egg shortly before it hatches by shaking the Control Stick. I do that every time and I always succeeed in taking off the egg and throwing it to the floor before I get bitten.
Took me the better part of 20 years to put it together, but the Lurkers are only triggered when the water level is lowered. Also, if you rapidly press the buttons when a Moth egg hatches, you can avert the Poison status.
Good list. Ive been playing Resident Evil for over 20 years and never knew the monkeys from Zero were called Eliminators. I think the leech zombies should have been a bit higher. Wouldve liked to see some mentions of Revelations games like the Wall Blister or Dhulgra But defo agree putting those bastard moths first. So so many times having to cure poison and you cant even kill them
Leech monsters are killed with fire - just keep your molotovs for them if you can't just run past (you may need to take the 2 characters through seperately).
Lickers on Claire’s playthrough:😊 Lickers on Leon’s playthrough:😨 Also, can we get a scariest cut monster or boss list, like the cut zombie that would track your mic in re7
I did something similar to that, but maybe if I can pull enough together for a list without it being to similar to a different video I did already then I could give it a shot
I always found those moths to be so annoying I have been replaying it and I still felt like that back when I originally played Resident Evil code Veronica.
lickers were terrifying until i learned you can kill them by knifing them to death they get stun locked by their being-attacked animation and you can usually kill them pretty easily and quietly since you won’t have to alert mr x with gunshots
Excellent list. 100% agree on the top three. The lurkers also seemed to appear a good distance away from save areas. Eliminators...always in packs and you get two of em on yah, you can be stun toast. But those Fing moths!!!! As a habitual saver, they were beyond annoying in the fact they could just not be killed permanently
These monsters really are some of the worst, but for some only if you choose to fight them. The lurkers with their one hit kill were scary for me during my no save run of RE 0. The moths didn't bother me too much in Veronica thanks to limited back tracking. Crimson heads, just make sure to burn the bodies or decapitate zombies. Those zombies whose heads you blow off or explode won't come back. As for eliminators they can be skipped, though you do have to kill the four in the large room with the puzzle to do it. Lickers and Ivies are pretty bad, just try to do your best with them. I've 100% Re0, Re1R, ReCV, Re4, Re4R, and am currently working on Re8. The original Re2 and Re3 I've beat on the hardest difficulty on the Gamecube version. I've played but haven't fully completed ReRev1, Re5, Re6, Re7, Re2R, and Re3R. But yeah I've played enough to know you are correct in these 10 being the most annoying. And I agree with alot of the others mentioned in the comments.
Nothing is worse than the Eliminators. They fuse a horrible idea, a horrible design, and acting as horrible, annoying, difficult roadblocks. Cool. So ambitious Capcom...
Great list! Did you read the resident evil novel of S.D. Perry? The novels are the story of resident evil 0, 1, 2, 3 and code veronica + 2 more story that happen between re 1 and 2 and rs3 and code veronica. Really interesting. Maybe they can give you some idea for your next video! 😉
RE3R had some of the worst enemies, especially on higher difficulties. Pale Heads, Gamma Hunters, Beta Hunters, Parasite zombies, Drain Demos, and Nemesis, all dumb in their own way. Even regular zombies that lunge twice are a huge pain in the ass. Weird that none of them are on here. The moths can be shaken off before they poison you. Once you realize this, they are harmless.
I would add Final Form Nemesis from RE3R here. On high difficulties, he is just annoying with his inconsistent attack pattersn that shot you if you are not perfect.
Thank you for taking my suggestion! And I am so glad to see Ivy Zombies and Lickers on this list. I mean, I hated all the enemies in the RE2 remake, but these were just so, SO much worse than in the original game.
Great video, But I’m surprised that the flying incests from re4 remake weren’t in the video as there is so many of them and they are always in large hordes.
5:40 For lickers. They were blind in the original too. You could walk past the first licker (and every other) simply by waiting until it got off it's aggressive stance and move forward a tiny bit each time or if you knew how to silent run by spamming the run button as you moved forward so you don't make footsteps. It's why the first licker doesn't actually attack you if you stand still.
I can never settle on one that's more annoying than something else. Hunters annoy the hell out of me then I have to go and find something else more annoying, then it's Hunters again 😂
This video made me dread the day Code Veronica gets a remake. I've been told it's amazing so I figured if it ever gets a remake, I'll play it and get to experience the story for myself. But they'll probably make these listed enemies even more annoying if they do.
GOOD GOD I HATE THE MOTHS IN CODE VERONICA! Not only do you have to backtrack that hallway many times to progress, not only are they fast and annoying to shoot down, but they always seem to grab you, lay their moth parasites in you, and poison you instantly! I couldn't stand going through that section and trying to save blue herbs over and over to get rid of the posion. Its friggin tedious to say the least.
I don't know why gamers on RU-vid pronounce button like But-ton. Smh it's extra annoying af but anyways, the lickers in RE2 remake aren't even the worse but the regenerators in RE4 remake where you need Ashley to lower the other side of the bridge and have to go all the way around then be ambushed by the damn things and have Ganados snatch her up and have to be really quick to make sure they don't carry her away. I died about more than probably 8 times. Was the worse part of RE4R. It got so annoying I had to set it to easy because unlike the original RE4, the game is unforgiving and doesn't lower the settings for you automatically.
I hated those novistadorrs in resident evil 4 remake. Playing on professional with those fuckers without infinite rocket launcher was so annoying. I was constantly swarmed and swiped. W list tho, haven’t played CVX or RE0 yet but those sound super annoying.
Idc what anyone says, the dogs in the original RE1 through RE3 are by the worst. They move way too fast for original tank controls AND they always appear in groups AND you can pretty much only shoot them when they are close and by aiming DOWN because they're too small to shoot across the map by aiming forward. Pretty much the only enemy that makes me rage in the originals. Lol.
That they do which is why I said they appear in multiple games. The Suspendead is also a variation of the licker and it’s really the only time we see the midpoint of a lickers transformation
@@NerdSpaceGames Ah, right, the woman in the ceiling blocking our way from escaping the burning hotel. I almost forgot about her. I wish they would make a remake of both Outbreak games.
Just a fun RE thing. I used to play Resident Evil DS a ton and they made a mistake and there’s a room that I believe wasn’t intended to have a zombie in it with a hunter. If you accidentally triggered the Hunter and you got attacked by the zombie it was easy to game over to a bite/jump attack combo.
Good list but after just finishing Revelations 2 I have to say the invisible flying bugs you have to blindly shoot at off of a small girls finger pointing is FAR and away the most annoying enemy I’ve gone up against.
Surprise the reaper from residents evil 5 wasn't on here that creature killed me so many times and you had to time when you shot the weak point between it ribs cage since it to a scream that would open it ribs.
The Lurkers by far are the worst for me. I remember getting the platinum for RE0 and the Lurkers messed up my No Save/No Herb run. The most annoying part of it is your partner AI will not do anything to help you.
Mimicry Marcuses may be annoying, but they are a highly effective survival horror enemy. The Marcuses are the entire reason that the segment past the water door is, hands-down, _the_ scariest portion of the entire game. Well... that and the freaky music.
Once you learn that you have to use blue granades on parasites they become a very easy target to kill. I would place the Reaper instead of parasites! Those fuckers spray that blurry gas, walk fast and can one shot you if you're close. In RE5 I hated a lot the partner bodyblocking so I often died because I couldn't run away.
For me the most annoying enemies on this list are the lurkers, mostly because they've ruined quite a few perfectly good no save runs I've done for the various platinums and the AI never reacts. Just stands there and let's me be munched.
Ivy are not that bad, as long as you’re stocked up on flamethrower fuel or acid and flame rounds. As Claire, i would immobilise them with acid, and follow up with a flame round
From RE4 I found the insect enemies much more annoying in the remake compared to the Regenerador or Iron Maiden. Sure they lacked an instant kill, but there are usually many of them. And fighting them all can use up a lot of resources especially in the ballroom in the main game.
It doesn't seem to be a popular opinion, but I don't like the zombie dogs, particularly the ones with the plaga parasites in both versions of RE4. They are especially annoying during the maze section of Salazar's Castle in the original RE4. Even at full health (and all the Yellow Herbs available by that point), their tentacles can kill me in one hit, and I have to redo the whole maze.
The priest in RE4 Remake VR is awful. People here know what he does so I'll just include the one part in VR which makes him terrible. In the normal version of the game, he does this cry that makes Leon flinch and can't do anything for a second or so. In VR this cry forces you to drop anything your holding and you can't grab anything for that time. Considering his encounters, that VERY annoying.
How about Forest from REmake? His zombie form covered in grenades that will blow up and instakill you if you shoot him? And here you were thinking auto-aim in RE games were a good thing
Regular re2 remake zombies are so annoying to deal with like why do they sway so much and the lickers are so damn annoying to deal with like you shoot at them and then within a second there at your feet
In RE4 I disagree with the Plaga and Iron Maidens being the most annoying. For me, it had to be the crossbow or dynamite enemies, those guys infuriated me.
I think Reapers, Novistadors and those four-legged molded in RE7 could have pretty much made the cut instead of Lickers, Ivies and Iron Maidens. Lickers and Iron Maidens may be challenging at times but they're also scary; the three abominations I mentioned at the beginning are just damn annoying.
I would put the leeches from RE:Zero that can be killed by just walking on them, so annoying to try to step on and while it's tiny damage they always manage to waste a few herbs throughout the few times we run into them
The camera angles are by far the MOST annoying enemy in the games They take WHAT SHOULD BE the bare bones simple task of being able to actually SEE what is going on and makes it a user hostile experience by having them placed in the most asinine of places to ensure that combat and even BASIC NAVIGATION are as annoying as humanly possible
Don’t agree about the Ivy zombies. Flamethrower or Flame rounds put them down quickly and you should have plenty of ammo for either weapon when you reach the Nest. If you used up all your fuel or grenades on zombies than that is on you for poor weapon ammunition management.
