Another amazing list. You describe each scent in a wonderfully detailed way for us lay persons to get a grasp of, especially for us who don’t have easy access to many of the perfumes mentioned. When I hear oud and Rose I immediately think Velvet Rose by Jo Malone, a scent that’s gorgeous but makes me nauseous. So, I appreciate how you describe the notes as either fresh or watery etc.

I'm a Sommelier, and so my sense of smell is quite refined. I am thrilled at several of your selections. The only perfume I've ever had multiple compliments on is Prada Florale. Very pretty fragrance, light and (naturally) floral.

Light Blue is so beautiful,truly. One might think it's a simple citrus scent but I was pleasantly surprised to start smelling of roses after the initial sour lemon dried out on my skin,it just becomes beautifully sweet. Not to mention most perfumes use orange and orange blossoms as a citrus note but I absolutely adore lemon.

First of all how stunning the pink blazer looks on you! 💖 and second of all hopefully I will have a chance in some point to try out Scherzo. It sounds again my kind of perfume! 😍 I would say my most complimented fragrances in not a particular order would be Rush by Gucci, Philosykos, Delina, Angels’ Share, Tubéreuse impériale by BDK, Poets of Berlin by Vilhelm Parfumerie, Slowdance by Byredo, Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate by Hermès, Jasmin Rouge by Tom Ford and L’Impératrice by Dolce & Gabbana.

One of my "life-nieces" is getting married and the layering of Baccarat Rouge and Delina was her pick for her wedding, I layered these two masterpieces by accident and loved it (still do). My personal selection for her wedding is my favorite rose "Atomic Rose". Now, I am ordering Miller Harris "Scherzo". Another fantastic review, thank you!

I was able to finally sample Scherzo today after looking for it for many months! At first, I was not very sure about it, it was different than I expected. But after 5 minutes, it started to radiate and that was the wow moment. I love so many perfumes but I have never had such a reaction to any of them. I still have to think about this moment, what caused it. But I am definitely buying it and thank you and Clemence was hyping this scent 🥰

Very interesting votes! As you said, so subjective… I’m really interested in Lune Feline and Rouge Malachite, I need to get to a store and see how these react to my skin. By your description I would fall in love with them… I remember not being impressed by any Byredo fragrance in particular (all seemed beautifully made, did not fit my style though), but will try and give Bal d’Afrique another chance. Very much a fan of woody fragrances or accords (spice is another favourite). On the other hand… I remember smelling Burberry Her and definitely not liking it, too pink and powdery-girly for me, although I am not against powdery dry drowns in a sophisticated formula. That being said, I cannot see the comparison with Baccarat Rouge - I don’t own either, and again I smelled Her quite a while back, buuut I did enter a boutique a few days ago because I was so interested to see why Baccarat is so hyped. Unfortunately I was in a hurry and I was also looking for other two perfumes, so I didn’t get the chance to properly sample it, meaning to spray it on my skin and see how it fares throughout the day. I was, however, quite impressed by just smelling it, and I did like it, planning to go there again and see if it really fits me and wins me over. I can definitely see why it got so many votes, it seemed beautiful and interesting at the same time. On the last note, unfortunately I am not a fan of Light Blue, although I am well aware of its popularity and by the book it should smell good, but not on me. I had this high-school “friend” (that’s like… 15 years ago 😅) that was very much in love with it and I remember not liking it back then either. Again, so subjective! Thanks for a great video!

Hi Josephine, I enjoyed your video! I have several of these fragrances but find I get more compliments from Delina exclusif than the original. I had Light Blue as my signature scent for years and I still enjoy it as a Summer Freshie. I find people seem to be attracted to scents that have that trendy vanilla clean musk base. I have tested the Burberry for Her but wasn't sure if I liked it. I haven't tested MFK BR. I do have Armani Prive Rouge Malachite. I enjoy the Initio Atomic Rose but don't yet have it. I am very curious about scherzo but it seems there are no retailers in Canada that carry it. It seems a bit risky to order directly from them without a test sample. (Duty and exchange rates are crazy here!) - Jenn

I’m a guy and I love wearing BR540 and comes and goes throughout the wearing. I can smell it 12+ hours. Ironically, I go nose blind to the Extrait version within a few minutes.

I had a sample of The Noir 29 and wore it on a trip in the country during summer and got the first and only perfume compliment I have ever gotten from a complete stranger. Needless to say I went and bought every size of the fragrance along with the body lotion and body wash. 🤪

Compliments for churning out amazing content Josephine...i have binge watched all your videos and been educating myself about different fragrance notes... Could you please suggest any 3 fragrances for starting out in the niche perfume journey... The criteria is good longevity and projection in Indian summer heat...as most European perfumes I feel are made keeping the weather over there in mind and don't even last 2 hours in the scorching summers here which can even touch 45 degrees at times...Thanks in advance

Everyone compliments me on light blue and alien

Really, light blue is really lovely. One could assume it's just a straightforward citrus perfume, but I was pleasantly pleased to start smelling like roses once the initial tartness of the lemon dried on my skin. Not to mention that lemon is my very favourite citrus scent; most fragrances use orange and orange blossoms.

I loved when I bought Peau Santal from Miller Harris they sprayed the tissue in the bag with Scherzo - All day I could smell it even though I had other perfumes on me from perfume shopping. I’m addicted to Scherzo!! Would also have to say I do prefer Santal 33 it’s still perfect for me!!

From MFK I prefer Grand Soire. I love it and don't care who hates it. To me it is the perfect men's scent and women's winter fragrance.

I feel ash, petrikor and some flowers in Scherzo. Remind me man's Eau de cologne from my childhood, can't remember which one.

BR 540 is indeed amazing to layer with other perfume. I usually layer it with Hermes Rhubarbe Ecarlate, and all of sudden the sillage and longevity of that Hermes is like times 5. 😂❤

I love Amelia ( from Marley perfume house as well ( fucia colored bottle identical to delina) unfortunately boutique scents are evaporates really fast .

I have a question for you: I have the Baccarat Rouge 540 but on me, the sillage and projection are minimal - and on my skin, it is perceptible for 2-3 hours at most. Do you recommend layering over the body lotion or body oil - and adding the hair mist? Merci à l’avance.

I dislike fresh scents, especially the predominantly citrus-y ones because they always smell like cleaning supplies on me. And citrus notes can even get dirty sour, creating a headache inducing scent. However, I keep hearing it as a fave and Fragantica keeps adding D& G Light Blue to the perfumes that "smell like..." if I'm putting a favourite on my personal list or a possible buy to the Wants. I'm so confused now. Anyone who is a sweet floral lover as well, who thinks Light Blue fits in there? (Some of my faves are Givenchy L'interdit, YSL Libre, Chopard Casmir, La Vie et Belle Intensement, CK Obsession and CK IN2U and Burberry London & BB Brit)

I really do not like Bal d'afrique, I smell the florals but it also smells like a shirt thar you sweated on that you take off after a long day!!! So it's that mix of a nice perfume and sweat...and I just can't.
