The great thing about The A-Squad Rangers is that they were never brainwashed or created as evil; they were just purely evil and corrupt from the beginning. They taught us that being a Power Ranger doesn’t necessarily make you a hero

Here you have to pass some intense training program which is more complex but the evaluation system is probably more flawed since they're made by humans (and aliens) and not done by some intergalactic all-powerful being

@@divaalfirman3295 Indeed. And the core point remains--the A-Squad Rangers CHOSE to be evil. Much like Viktor Adler in Wild Force, they were ordinary humans who picked the dark side. In a sense that makes them even worse than the Psycho Rangers, who were created evil and didn't really have a choice in which side they were on.

The fight between the real Tommy Oliver and his Robotic Clone was great and the line that "Robo-Tommy' said to the real Tommy made me laugh, "This copy is gonna kick your butt." I have to wonder if JDF had fun fighting himself.

There are some rangers that started out evil because of two reasons. 1. They were brainwashed like Tommy and Trent 2. They were deceived by the villains like Ryan, Blake, and Hunter.

Karone technically covers both since she was kidnapped as a child & deceived turning her into Astronema then after learning the truth and choosing to aid her brother & the other Space Rangers she was put under cybernetic control alongside Ecliptor ( dude so should have been SAVED by the Z wave not dusted ffs...he was never truly evil ) by Dark Specter. I say she TECHNICALLY counts purely because this was all before she took over for Kendrix as the Pink Galaxy Ranger

@@newageBoundhippie well to say Ecliptor was never truly evil is a bit to much. HE was but... being a sort of father figure for "Astronema" changed him, and he was on his way to be good just before he get brainwashed. Which is still way closed to be fully good than Rita, Zedd or Divatoc, so yes, he should have been saved. Maybe if Karone would shed a tears mourning on his "ashes" soon enogh it would work out in the end...

Easily The Psycho Rangers were the best when they were first introduced in Power Rangers in space. Of course Tommy Oliver The Green Ranger when he made his debut in MMPR. He was the Wolverine of the Power Rangers.

It's funny how the PR fanbase can be divided when it comes to seasons. Some seasons were near perfect adaptations of their source material and loved for it (Time Force) yet a few were hated vigorously (Wild Force, Samurai). Then there's the other side of the coin where it completely deviated from the Sentai and loved for it (In Space, Dino Thunder, RPM) yet some are reviled like (Turbo, though to be fair, much of Carranger's material is hard to work into Western audiences).

Lost Galaxy Pink Ranger actress had cancer, so she had to leave until she felt better. If she was fine I'm guessing the story would've been different where not "any" of the psychos have won. Don't forget that the character also got resurrected in the end, so psycho pink's victory was temporary instead of permanent.

As much as I love MMPR in general, my favorite has to be the Thunder Brothers of Ninja Storm. They have means to learn of their parent's murder, but was too blinded by revenge. Also, Eric as he has an amazing backstory. Finally, the A Squad, which shows how power can easily corrupt people.

I am surprised that Zen'Aku didn't make the list. He is a Ranger himself, possessed by an evil spirit for sure. Even then, that spirit at the end teamed up with the Ranger to fight for good as a duo vigilante team. There were even tsunadre moments like the one where Zen'Aku protected a baby wolf from the evil group he usually worked with at that time. The baby wolf being the spirit of the Ranger's little brother.

I don't think Zen'Aku counts as a ranger, i think hem controling the Predazords is the same as how Fury controlled the Pterazord also I really wished we'd see more of Merrick with the baby wolf, you know see the wolf lick hem and Princess Shayla, and I beat it help convince Kite to bring the wild zords back

@@cooper3814 For me I saw Zen'Aku as a sort of redo of the Green Ranger. A character starting out as a villain only to turn into a hero. The difference being Zen'Aku being more tsunadre and anti hero like. The look being sort of a mix between a ranger and monster, a unique concept and one not done too often even nowadays.

Zen-Aku was a Duke Org. Merrick only put on the mask during the battle against the original Master Org and the curse soon took control of him. Due to that, he doesn't count.

What makes Ryan the titanium ranger such a unique evil ranger is that he is raised from childhood by demons. Being told that his father hated him and chose his sister over him. He’s not mind controlled he was raised to be evil and has to spend the rest of his life undoing that. That is deep and dark

Needless to say, but the Pyscho Rangers deserved to be at number 1. Their looks and monster forms startled me as a youngster than Tommy’s evil green ranger laughter. Now that you’ve mentioned that Pyscho pink was the one who killed a power ranger, that was certainly something I did not pay close attention to.

Definitely agree with this list but there's one thing that should be clarified. Technically Psycho Pink didn't kill Kendrix, Kendrix died by sacrificing herself to destroy The Savage Sword to save Terra Venture. Yes Psycho Pink caused the storm, but Kendrix didn't die by her hand directly!

What's really impressive about the Spirit Rangers was how they weren't in the original Super Sentai that Jungle Fury was derived from. Gotta love the creative liberties the West can take with this series.

Titanium Ranger, Spirit Rangers and the Battleizer...all Power Rangers originals. We also got different Morphers for the main 3 Jungle Fury Rangers...in the Sentai ( Gekiranger ) they had special gloves and morphed by punching into their other hand while in Jungle Fury they had sunglasses... oh and what's really cool is that Toei actually loved the SPD Battleizer and used it in the Dekaranger/Magiranger movie

The destruction of the original Pink Lost Galaxy Ranger (Kendrix) was for a reason. The actress was diagnosed with cancer back than and went on threatment. It did bring in a Ranger who originally was a villain (which you guys forgot to mention), which was Karone.

I liked Trent from Power Rangers: Dino Thunder. His white Power Ranger suit looked sooooo cool. I watched his arc once, I remember how I did it, too. After I got back from seeing Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, I went on Netflix (when it was on there at the time) and watched the rest of the arc.

I was 5 when the mighty morphin power rangers came out, so I watched them from the beginning up until lost galaxy. I remember when the psycho rangers showed up, they became the first power rangers bad guys that actually scared me. The status quo of power rangers and their goofy bad guys always made it hard to actually feel any fear, no matter how bad things got. But the psycho rangers? Shit got real when they showed up. The In Space episode where the pink rangers is being hunted by them still fills me with anxiety.

Merrick is the actual Ranger there...and it's Lunar Wolf Ranger not Silver Wolf. Zen-Aku was just the Org spirit inhabiting the mask controlling him, until their separation somehow gave him a new body. He oddly seemed to turn good at the end too...

@@faris9720 (1) original does not mean "better" (2) it's "adaptation" (3) even Japanese find a few PR seasons better than its SS counterpart e.g. Lost Galaxy (4) the SS actors and actresses love PR and some even dubbed their PR counterparts when it was broadcasted in Japan, best example is S.P.D. featuring (almost) the entire cast As far as being a 30 minute toy commercial, it's becoming worse every season. The last tolerable season I watched was Zyuohger, where the cubes were not exactly appealing as collectibles, the show compensated by delivering a good plot and characters (most importantly, a Red Ranger who doesn't scream every other sentence).

Trent is my favorite Power Ranger is not just because of his sick costume, but also he gets a good journey and storyline where he has trouble/ got corrupted with the Dino Gem and started morphing whenever no one is around, but then in later episodes he morphs into the White Ranger in front of the Rangers such as that one episode where he chases Tommy with his bike and then later turns into the side of the good. Which I find that interesting. I like how Hunter and Bradley, unlike Tommy and Trent, aren't evil because of corrupted/ magic spelled reasons but because Lothor told them that Sensei killed their parents. Tommy when he was evil was scary because if I was a Ranger fighting him after being attacked by him, I would hide or run away from him. I'm glad Jason got to play Drakkon in live action even if it was only for a trailer of Shattered Grid comic
