I can tell you my favourite. The Naked Gun 2½, I thought it was better than the entire movie. Really don't have a worst opening scene, I guess I just pull through and watch the entire movie and forget
I disagree with you about the intro of SCREAM 4 because i love the movie and i found the intro to be original and unique in the Franchise. I DIDIN'T mind it and find it a good way to satirize remakes and reboots!
I liked it too, the second Scream trilogy made the openings fresh after three straight films where the intro is 2 lovers getting killed. 5 had one person attacked who goes onto actually survive, and two of the 3 victims of VI are a pair of wannabe Ghostface killers.
It kind of explains why the future changes though, John and Skynet were trapped in a causal loop, Kyle Reese going back in time to save Sarah from the T-800 created John, while the remains of the T-800 created Skynet. Killing John before he sends Kyle back in time breaks the loop because Sarah is no longer a target for termination so no T-800 comes looking for her.... and Skynet can't be born.
The opening of Dark Fate could have been better if it had never happened. Actually I never saw anything past the disappointing third film in the Terminator Franchise. People can like whatever they want. For me, this series ended with T2.
2:48 There's nothing wrong with realigning a character to be more pleasant and likable. The problem I have with this scene is the uncanny valley effect from them badly CG-ing out Henry Cavil's mustache for the re-shoots
Enough with the bashing of that movie please. I am sick of people badmouthing these Star Wars films. The opening crawl was just that and plus Palpatine was hinted to resurrect himself in episode 3 when he bragged about being able to use to force to create life
People who hate the scream Intro are probably people who just don't really get the entire plot and the history behind it all😂 I personally found it hilarious
I mean we at least got 3 films of grown up John prior to Dark Fate and in that film's continuity, John died 3 years after blowing up Cyberdyne, compared to Alien 3 which was an immediate sequel as while it probably at most started weeks into the Sulaco's journey home, for the characters, because they were in stasis it had only been hours since they escaped LV-426, they barely got to rest and savor their survival.
I honestly loved that whole opening sequence from Dial of Destiny. For me, there were only the odd shot here and there that didn't work, the rest was great, in my opinion.
Agreed man, besides I don't see anything wrong with the D-ageing of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones back to his younger form, that was a pretty good special effect in my opinion since they did the same thing to Mark Hamill as Luke in The Mandalorian.
@@camgold2154 Thanks for the information, sometimes I get confused with the timelines throughout Indiana Jones friends, of course I know the films setting take place in 1930s and 1950s from The Crystal Skull. 😅
People shouldn't blame TIM MILLER for the failure of "Terminator: Dark Fate" He was the director, not the writer Killing John Connor was James Cameron's idea Miller deserves another chance because he still has a lot to offer He not only gave us DEADPOOL, but also SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, directed by his friend, Jeff Fowler The de-aging technology was good because Miller is a VFX artist himself Has anyone seen LOVE, DEATH and ROBOTS?
I agree that Terminator: Dark Fate isn't Tim Miller's fault. It's James Cameron's fault and I think he done it on purpose. He wanted to kill the Terminator franchise and he succeeded.
Honorable shoutout to great movie intros: - Raiders of the Lost Ark - The Dark Knight - Jaws - Jurassic Park - The Lion King - Inglourious Basterds - Halloween - Star Wars IV: A New Hope
Nah, I care how many critics put their hatred on "Indiana Jones & The Dial Destiny" because it was worth seeing Harrison Ford return as Indiana Jones ONE final time in my opinion!
Can agree the opening to DoD was off putting but it feels so illogical that people think a horse chase in a subway, a set piece reminiscent of the trilogy & time travel are apparently worse than cgi monkeys & ants, aliens & a fridge saving someone at a testing facility
i don't hate the cats intro. i just hated the entire thing as a whole, with no particular bias against any specific section of the movie over any other.
@@Eheth1958 T2 did contradict the ending of T1 as Sarah said John could never be if he didn't send Kyle back, which would be made impossible by preventing the war.
Dishonorable Mention: *The Opening Text Scroll - Alone In The Dark -To make a long story short: "Get on with it! "Yes! Get on with it!" [All clamoring] "GET ON WITH IT!!!"
I had the displeasure of seeing both Alien3 and Halloween: Resurrection in the theater. Don't know how I stayed for either movie after the intros. The worst of the worst sequels...ever.
I will die on this hill! Ripley being the only survivor makes complete sense. The Xenomorph has taken everything from her. Her crew from the first film. Her daughter, as Ripley was left drifting in space for almost 60 years. Then the marines she was sent to advise. Her surrogate daughter. Her (potential) love interest. And ultimately her life. Ripley pretty much became the xenomorphs nemesis, and it cost her everything.
Clerks 3. Finding out at the beginning of the movie that not only did one of the main characters from Clerks 2 get fridged, but it had to have happened practically right after Clerks 2 ended.
Hate to be that pedant but technically for number 5 Laurie wasn't defenestrated. She was instead thrown/dropped while already outside of the building while her and Michael are hanging from the rooftop/ledge and not thrown through a window which is what the physical action translates to, thrown someone through a window.
The Haunted World Of Superbeasto (2009) Look I Said this before but I've watched Adult Animated movie before but this movie repulsed me like Netflix's Big Mouth (2017-2024) or The Drawn Together Movie (2010) no thank you sir I'll stick to Adult Swim and Anidom on Fox
A lot of these choices make sense, some of them seem arbitrary, like that of the author's opinion and their opinion alone...Scream 4? Totally fine with that opener, its bad though, just because reasons... mmkay
Alright, let's go: Scream 4 opening is awesome. Judge me, but I really love Mortal Kombat Annihilation. Halloween Ressurection opening is the best scene in the entire movie.
I personally liked Halloween Resurrection but not that Jamie Lee Curtis was killed in the beginning. The movie as a whole isn't that bad at all. I loved it especially Busta Rhymes.
I don't care people hate Alien 3 intro but i'm very regret and mad that they killed characters from Aliens however the intro of Alien 3 is very goosbump scared dark intenst ever.
Seen Cats, Alien 3 and Terminator - i may agree with Alien, but cats isn't that bad, and Terminator could open an interetsing plot. P. A. Indy wasn't bad
I figured Dark fate would be in there Edit: this might sound weird but I thought The Opening to Dial of Destiny Before the time skip was the best part of the movie
The scream 4 intro was great what are you talking about, it was something new & different, the reasons gave in this video is exactly why it was good, it was poking fun & how movie franchises don’t know when to stop.
Never watched Dark Fate, but that was the worst "Alternate Timeline" of Terminator 2. 💢 Edit: I meant that intro. (Sheesh that movie description is so messed up. 💢)
F**K MK Annihilation. I saw that piece of sh** in theaters with some friends when I was 16. Thankfully we were the only ones there so we just laughed and bagged on it the whole time lol. 0/10. 😂
God I hate the intro to Dark Fate. Should've walked out after instead of watching the rest of that turd. You don't kill the leader of the human resistance and make another one... That's really dumb.
I'm not ashamed to say that I actually liked & still like the 90s Super Mario Bros lol its very inaccurate to the games yes but it had that 90s charm & who could not love the "Luigi Luigi?" scene Lol
Pokemon Detective Pikachu should be number 1. As much as I love that movie, I was hoping they would have it open with an introduction to the Pokemon World like they do with the animated movies.
Your kidding me? All those hott babe cameos in the intro were the best part of Scream 4. Again the intro of Halloween :Resurrection was the best part of that crap movie.
