Son of the Mask - It's a good thing Jim Carrey refused to do the sequel. That movie was a Career Killer.

I'm pretty sure Dial Of Destiny got more hate than Crystal Skull, and that Dark Fate got more hate than Genisys

The fact that “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”, “Terminator: Dark Fate”, and “The Matrix Resurrections” are not even mentioned completely invalidates this Top 10 list, in my opinion. “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” is a subpar movie when compared to the original trilogy, but it was at least a far better ending to Indy’s story than the garbage fire that was “Dial of Destiny”. “Terminator: Genisys” is bad, no doubt about that. But “Dark Fate” was another level of awfulness. Killing off John Connor, who had been essential to the franchise from the beginning, and replacing him with a teenage female version for what proved to be Future War 2.0 was just terrible storytelling. “The Matrix Revolutions” left a lot to be desired, that is true. But “Resurrections” was even less satisfying as a continuation, what with the concept of both Neo and Trinity being brought back as a completely unnecessary storyline that will likely never get a sequel, considering the box office numbers. Oh, and “Superman IV: The Quest for Peace” and “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” being presented as “honorable mentions”? WatchMojo, really?

I’m shocked that Mortal Kombat: Annihilation didn’t make the list.

Sequels are always a gamble, at the same time they're what can secure a franchise. Aliens, Terminator 2, Empire Strikes Back.

Dial of Destiny was WAY worse than Crystal Skull, and Dark fate was WAY worse than genesys, but i feel that Rise of Skywalker should have been on this list, yes tge last jedi had problems, but we were ready to accept them if they actually followed through on them, instead, they went in a completely different direction which only made it worse, and bringing back Palpatine as the villain was the final nail in the coffin.

I love how Dial of Dysentery and Terminator: Dark Fate aren’t here. They should be in place of the movies from their franchises that are here.

It's debatable where The Transformers Movies Fall Off. But I think it started after the first movie. It's like Michael Bay just stopped trying.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull didn't kill the Indian Jones franchise. That was Dial of Destiny and no one can honestly say otherwise

If you do a "Top 10 Most Hated Prequels", don't forget to include the 2014 prequel "The Thing". That one generated some serious anger among fans of John Carpenter's 1982 masterpiece The Thing.

Personally I would welcome “Matrix: Revolution” and “Batman and Robin” with open arms compared to “Son of the Mask”. Also c’mon! How can you list terrible sequels and not feature “Neverending Story 3”?

Warriors Of Virtue 2 Return To Tao (2002) Now Warriors Of Virtue (1997) was not freaking TMNT good but It was a gosh darn entertaining movie the sequel aside from Kevin Smith's death was much worse than Breakin' 2 Electric Boogaloo (1984) In my personal opinion also our titular character were not Kangaroo's which was disappointing In the long run should've made a cartoon Instead would've worked out better honestly

Many of these suffer from the "Let's release an unwanted and uneeded sequel years later with none or very few cast and crew from the movie prior. Resulting in a disconnected disjointed mess.

Nothing wrong with Alien 3. Finishes Ripley's arc perfectly.

Sometimes we got something good, sometimes we got something mediocre, and sometimes we got something bad. And sadly, mediocre and bad tended to be more common than good. Because for every good sequel like Aladdin: King of Thieves, An Extremely Goofy Movie, and both Lion King Sequels, we got stinkers like Mulan 2, Belle's Magical World, or Hunchback of Notre Dame 2. *The Legend of Zorro -It hurts that the same people from The Mask of Zorro were involved with this. The characters are idiots who don't learn anything, the plot and writing were way too silly, the action is too cartoonish and outlandish, the drama isn't interesting, the whole entire movie just feels like it was written by a child. *Multiple Sequels To Live-Action Cartoon Adaptations -Scooby-Doo 2, The Smurfs 2, Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties, and all the Alvin and the Chipmunks sequels are all offenders. By stripping the darkness and intrigue of the first movie, it also stripped away what made The Secret of NIMH such a great movie. Just remember, one extreme can be just as bad as the other.

I liked Alien 3 for what it was, letting your own wish unfulfillment get in the way of an objective opinion is a horrible trend in film audiences today, guess it started as far back as 92.

Independence Day 2 was a fucking insult. I get they waited like 20 years. But waiting just a bit more could’ve made the plot better at least for him. But to literally say the guy who socked an alien and took down a mothership died in a TEST FLIGHT of all things is a load of shit.

That second Wonder Woman movie was horrible, and Jaws 2, 3 and 4 all sucked.

I know that people seem to hate it, but I liked Crystal Skull. The biggest thing I hear from people, "Oh, it has aliens, so unrealistic.". Me: Uhm... did you not watch the first three movies?We've got the Lost Ark face melting all of the baddies, we've got a guy somehow being able to reach into your chest to pull out your heart, then there's The Last Crusade.". Love all of them btw.

I actually like "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," "The Matrix Revolutions," "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace and "Batman & Robin." I think those are all good movies. I do agree with "Son of the Mask," though, even though I didn't think it was the worst movie I've ever seen, but I did like its prequel of "The Mask" much more, and I was rather disappointed with "Terminator Genisys." Some movie sequels that I hated include "Toy Story 4," "The LEGO Batman Movie," "Men in Black: International," "The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter," "Nanny McPhee Returns (or "Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang")" though I didn't think the first movie was really good to begin with either, "Kick-Ass 2" and I thought the first movie was really bad too, and "X-Men: The Last Stand."

Funny enough, I liked Batman & Robin as a kid. Yeah it was considered by many people to be a comedy and it did have a lot of laughable moments. Arnold Schwarzenegger was the redeeming factor about that movie. And Uma Thurman wasn't bad either.
