As a player since the game came out , the end won me 2 Regionals back in 2013 and is my fav unit it’s aged incredibly well as a Kagero main to this day

@@godsman00 ikr , the end /X are my favorite cards , that I have the most top cuts with in OG/G and have been playing a ton of retro and the kind games the end plays on the opponent wins games when when you don’t have a second copy in hand Keep up the great content 👍, I’m excited for the next top 10 most impactful unit list
My only minor complaint for P overlord is that their G zone still relies on Valor and Zigenburg for their signature restand finisher, where "The Purge", for how good it is, doesn't have that "re-stand" ability (although would be a bit broken that way) Imagine Kagero gets its own Crystaluster/Chainrancor lol
Oh definitely, if it wasn't for its late G meta impact, The Purge woulda been below them. Hell, Dumjid almost passed it up regardless because of how much a staple he is. You could swap the 4th and 5th positions and the list would pretty much hit the same ngl. OMG please don't give Bushi ideas, I don't wanna give V-series the Rebirth a Crystaluster 🤣
as a kagero main since GBT01 i can say that what prevents Dauntless from V to be meta is that it needs a card that is like Draggriter Halbe from D and some rear that can work really well with him (the only rear-guard in V that works well with him is Burnrise Dragon but thats another discard), they could give it as a retrains of Diable Drive Dragon and Dominate Drive Dragon in V if they re-start the v clan collection series (yeah, i know i'm coping really bad, but i come to like him so much after testing it since it release that it steal the second place of my favorite units of kagero, and yes, i made a Varga DDDrages deck XD)
That makes sense, Dauntless having to pitch 3 is a bummer. Definitely a necessary cost but a bummer, so comboing off the discard like Halbe would definitely help!
As someone who has played Kagero loyally since I started playing this game, this is a great list. These are all units that I would have considered too. People tend to forget that Kagero has a lot of really strong bosses that aren't Overlord lol. Really happy OG Nouvelle made the list. I mostly play Overlord who seems to love me when playing the game much to my opponents' terror lol.
I'm super glad to hear it! At first I was so sure Overlord was gonna dominate, but there ended up being a good deal of non-overlords that made a difference when researching. Seems like the Overlord fans also agree with the placements here so I'm super glad! Which Overlord deck do ya play? These days it's basically Dauntless/V Rebirth for me 💪
@@godsman00I basically play all the variants in the three formats (I have too many kagero decks lol), but I definitely prefer DOTE with the X. Legion was one of my favorite mechanics even though that era wasn't supported well by Bushi. My favorite V variant was probably DOTE/Great (which was a force 1 variant that focused on DOTE as a first ride). It was a lot scarier than you might initially think.
@@teddyropelewski8166 oh nice, OG X was super cool in that it really embodies the midrange control elements of Kagero while also possessing burst potential. Ah now that's a cultured pick, and yeah The Great is pretty strong still so it's a good call!
This is why i main Kagero since set 1. The thing that i loved from Ziegenburg is how they address the issue the fact that back then Magia, Hollow and SP were emptying their RG while kagero stride were only able to retire and Ziegenburg change that.
Absolutely! The card punishing open rears is very sweet, and as odd as he was Barakat at least followed suit that way. Heck cards like The Purge also punish although in his case it's taking lots of damage. Guess that's Kagero in a nutshell: Pressure and Punishment.
By the way, regarding Supreme Heavenly Emperor Dragon, Dragonic Overlord "The Purge," did you know about Relay Fight? Imagine if your team's captain was a Kagero user. "Hello, I do ten drive checks for free."
Ah Dragonic Overlord... one of the clans that my friend keeps beating my ass with (what is a Kagero?) Every time you see an overlord or any boss unit of kagero, you know shit's gonna go down. Overall, solid list, and can't wait to die to Eternal Flame to a 100th time.

Thanks my man! Yeah ngl Overlord had the ability to take more spots (particularly the Great) but naw fam surprisingly the generic Kagero Bosses were pretty damn nice in their own way, was pleasantly surprised the list ended up about even that way! Now to brace ourselves for if an Overlord fan starts saying "not enough overlords" but ISN'T joking lol.

From what i learned today was kagero was just dragonic overlord the clan but with a few exceptions lol. 🤣 Also Cant wait for what tachikaze has to offer my all time fav clan
Ah Kagero. The clan I have a love and hate relationship with. Especially with Overlord. Overlord and me for some reason have always been like an On and Off couple. I can’t remember how many times Overlord has loved me to ditching me and then loving me again. It is amazingly frustrating 🤣. Narukami hasn’t done that to me thankfully.
@@godsman00V's XEnd combo is the best. This is what Overlord should be in D, you burn your life aka. cards in hand to win like The End's lore. Instead they just made it cheapest re-stand and nothing more. While other decks that need more set up that later could over top Overlord with new supports that fufill the condition(s) more easily. Example, new Fortia needs full board to re-stand and also 4 drives as The End while Fortia also has big column rearguards, The End has just 20k Burninghorn...You can't just Burninghorn forever💀 I demand new Overlord (it's ok to be another rework of old form) or new reaguard in D.
All 9 good, but top 1 overlord the end? I though Яreverse unit maybe, not this. In season 1 he is good, but when lb4 he is bad, because you need hit once and you can ez def this attack even def your R not V. For me he is top 15-20 boss unit kagero
I explained in the section that it's not just what the card does effect-wise, it's the clan impact. DOTE was incredibly influential on Kagero as a clan for a few reasons which I break down in the vid.

It was the first boss to make Kagero meta, it continued to be meta through much of the Limit Break era, it won 2013 worlds in breakride era, it was the first meta G deck in combination with the X. And it provides the template for the future iterations of DOTE which we both also successful. No Kagero boss comes to this level of continued success, DOTE impacted the clan more than any other single boss unit.
@@godsman00 ok. But I do remember how I use simulator and maelstrom, phantom blaster dragon really good, stronger then Alfred, Overlord, Amon way stronger than Overlord, Dragonic Overlord with Break ride is more impacted than Overlord the end. It's just my comment.
