I would nominate Gholdengo. It's a Steel Ghost with very few weaknesses and is a special sweeper that is IMMUNE TO ALL STATUS MOVES. Now if you're willing to suffer evolving it from chest gimmieghoul, then you're rewarded with a high key strong contender. It even learns nasty plot to make itself even more threatening as stall status teams can't do much.
I do think it can be statused from secondary effects of moves, but it's nothing a Covert Cloak wouldn't fix. Just a really great pokemon to have for the team
OK but hear me out on this. Fire types 🔥 and ground, and ghost, and dark types. And bad speed and not amazing defenses. Yup, really busted and broken, right?
How about Lucario? With ice punch, close combat and bullet punch, it covers grass, flying, dragon, ground, dark, ice, normal, rock, steel and fairy. At the same time, it’s only weak to fairy, flying and psychic

When you have dragons or other cute type Pokémon’s, why would you want a pink Smurf w a hammer? Obviously that’s my opinion. But I can’t play with a Pokémon thats gross
Flamigo is definitely a stong single evo. I had a terrible one in terms of ivs, and it still was a star....along with skeledirge who also had bad ivs. There are a few mons that shouldve been mentioned, such as revavroom. Im planning to raise one, and I can't wait to bring out its potential
Only thing that sucks about this new gen is that most of the pokemon are either ghost,fire or ice types, my entire teqm is weak to ground and i only noticed later in the game (clodsire, ceruledge, skeledirge, tinkaton, baxcalibur, and paradox tyranitar). I love the new pokemon but all the ones i found interesting ended up all sharing the same types
Um, a few nominee. Tinkaton. Dragon/poison immunity, gigaton hammer. Great special defense. Glimmora, hazard setter, great special attack. Clodsire, tanky, unaware/water absorb. Espathra, speed boost/opportunist, great coverage
What I really hate with Toedscruel is its ability Mycelium Might, it causes every single status moves has the last priority but will be unaffected by abilities, so you'll definitely get outsped if you want to setup, wasting it's rather high speed and Spore (it's the fastest pokemon that can learn spore)
yeah I used one on my play through and it can definitely be a little annoying but it’s decently bulky and with giga drain it can get lost HP back in a hurry after you use spore
One detail I think that you have missed on Armarouge and Ceruledge is their defensive stats, Armarouge being physically tanky special attacker means that it can counter most of physical attackers in the game as they usually have low special defense, while you also have the option to counter physical attacker with high special defense such as Gallade since it has psyshock in its movepool, its special weakness can be negated by using mystical fire which lowers the enemy special attack, or simply use calm mind. Ceruledge on the other hand has better special defense, very good when it comes to abusing special attackers/tanks with low physical defense such as Gardevoire and Florges.
I used Kilowattrel and it's very good because it is SO fast and has a massive special attack stat. It can one hit KO a lot of pokemon if you know your opponent has a high defense and low special defense. BUT my Kilowattrels defense stat and special defense stat are pure garbage. It is basically a glass canon, if it doesnt KO in one hit and gets hit itself it dies very quicky.
I'm running one too I got it with a Timid nature and Volt Absorb, I just maxed out speed and special attack moveset is Roost,Air Slash,Thunderbolt, Electro Ball with a Life Orb.
Houndstone and Gholdengo should have been on the list IMO. Houndstones Last respects is very nice when used as a last resort pokemon(providing they are not immune to ghost type attacks).
Iron hands and tinkaton. mixed with belly drum and drain punch is like the biggest cheat code. You can win any tera raid and there’s essentially a one shot and kill any battle. Then tinkatons only true weakness is poison
What about dragonite it has a base stat of 600 that's the same as Mew And it's a og I would say it should be in this list its one of the most wanted Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlett and Violet It's been around since Jen 1
Mobastiff, intimidate is kinda really good this gen, noticed a lot more physical that special attackers at least right now around level 40. It has been reliable and and a clean switch with a mono dark, making most switches at least neutral
Tinkaton steal/ fairy I mean that typing is insane strong against dragon other fairy really really good for a lot of coverage good stats all around plus it's special move Gigaton Hammer
one of the most underrated pokemon which might just be better than every pokemon on this list which you missed is GLIMMORA I cannot stress on the fact that it was my team's absolute star - it is one of the best leads(hand over a focus sash for 4x ground weak) has great bulk and special attack stat rivalling the likes of gengar of all things . it is the hazards monster with stealth rock , grassy sheild , power gem and sludge wave as its best moveset with special attack evs
Same, was the star of my team as well! Lucked into one early on in a raid den (or whatever those are called this gen) and it is still with me in the post game. Bonus is it's ability that throws out toxic spikes whenever a move makes contact 👍🏻
Unfortunately Cetitan is a Glass Canon, I used him on my main team for the game and even in snow and having ice body. He'd always get one shot by fire types, and most fire types are faster. Ice spinner is an amazing move. Finally a really good physical ice type move that doesn't have 90 or less accuracy
I've completed the grind for my first three members: Jolly Ceruledge, Impish Clodsire and Modest (Fire Tera) Masquerain. I'm loving the concept of adding a bulky Cetitan (252 HP, 252 SpD), but maybe I'll go with good ol' Gengar or Toadscruel as my fourth. This video gave me some ideas!
Bro u left a out a sleeper for sure maushold is probably number 5-4 on this list. Gets technition as his hidden ability. Spam population bomb. + Kings rock or wide lens I think it is to increase his accuracy and make it land 10 times 100% of the time.
With wide lens, there is a 100 percent with the first hit, 99 with the second and the rest I don't know. It gets 10x hits fairly regularly, o don't know the percentage but it feels like more than 50. I say this because there is a funny 1 percent chance of the attack to just hit two times. With wide lens that is

Personally, I’d say defo have a garganacl as it’s a tank of a Pokémon, a Tinkaton is solid choice too, starter I’d go either fuecoco or sprigatito, and then the rest is upto u rlly but those three really are powerhouses

Could be a reference to the feminine and masculine ways of pronouncing words in the Spanish language hence why there’s two ones more masculine but they are fundamentally the same thing, at least in Ceruledge and armourogues cases
Another nominee is an endgame spoiler so do not read this if you need to finish this game still. The paradox pokemon Iron Hands. It naturally learns belly drum and has an astoundingly large attack stat already while also learning drain punch to recover the lost hp while being bulky all at once meaning it has a good chance of surviving long enough to do what it needs if not swept through immediately. Couple it with booster energy to bump its most prominent stat at battle start and you have a powerful fighter.
Both are solid Pokémon, and personally have used them but the goal of this specific video is accessible Pokémon from the beginning of your playthrough so trust me I do know what’s up and I’m new to content creation so the odd mistake is I’d hope is understandable.
Stop lying to yourself. It's a regional form. Real life convergent species aren't carbon copies of each other, and even in the context of fiction it makes absolutely no sense for a mushroom to evolve to resemble a jellyfish that its never even seen before because it lives in an entirely separate ecosystem.
It makes more sense for a jellyfish to start walking and resembling a mushroom in its new environment. Gamefreak really tried to make regional forms and say "yeah guys this is a brand new never before seen pokemon, not the same at all"
