I absolutely love when they build up slowly. You start out thinking “ughh this is boring” then boom. I mean jump scares are kinda a way out of a good horror film for the film to seem interesting but they are a way to increase adrenaline, but if you stand outside of your mums bathroom you’ll get an equal reaction. These aren’t “nightmare fuel” they are just lame movie tricks.
