Some iconic themes from old movies... - Lara's Theme from "Doctor Zhivago" - Theme from Lawrence of Arabia - Zorba's Dance from "Zorba the Greek" - Caravans on the move from "Caravans" - Main theme from "Born Free" (also used in Madagascar 1)
I've taken up piano again. I haven't played in over 40 years. It's like starting from scratch. The memory in my fingers left, but I'll get it back. It's on my bucket list. This guy is so good, I hope I'll get close to that someday
@@g00se99 Can't tell if Williams is better or not than Morricone, I don't know Morricone's work... But Williams is, for sure, by a true mile worst than Rózsa
The Simpsons theme - the scale of difficulty is just awesome. Heard it a lot of times played by You and still I am impressed very very much. Keep goin... and good luck;)
Actually Nino Rota composed the Godfather Theme in 1958 for an Italian Film called Fortnella it was a Comedy and The Exact Godfather While Fast Paced is heard in the main theme. This is why The Academy Disqualified Nino Rota in 1972 Godfather :58 Seconds in..The Godfather Theme in 1958. 🥴🤔😜 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nAsXR3d62Wg.htmlsi=R8MkNdxC0WxE6FI9
I love the Superman theme! The word "Superman" is in dactylic meter and you hear that dactyl at the end of the measure. The music is practically shouting the name! Genius!
Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, Legend of 1900, Malena, Once upon a time in America, The Mission... Ennio Morricone is the actual top of movie soundtracks - the way he elevated a movie is incredible. Would be nice to make a video with 10 if his pieces of music.
It's a great tune but I couldn't tell you what movie it's used in? Kindly save me the bother of googling it.. Edit: Well, that was weird.. A few hours after wondering what movie that song was in, I randomly clicked on a video in which Pierce Brosnan talked about his movie characters and he talked about the original Thomas Crown Affair and mentioned a certain song.. Am currently downloading the movie as I don't think I've ever seen the original..
Great picks! Especially thankful for axl f and the simpsons! I am also eagerly waiting for your rendition of axl f on any digital instrument of your choosing, sir!
You can't help but wonder what Mozart would think of the Simpson's theme. Really admire the Godfather theme and the Harry Potter theme could easily be in one of those miniature music boxes that you wind up. To be able to write a hook that memorable that hasn't exactly been done before takes a lot of talent.
Back in the late 70s, the college band I was in did a Star Wars March. Music from episode 4. The fans at the football game loved it and let us know it. R2D2, C3PO, Luke and other characters were in the band, but where was Darth Vader. At one point, a bunch of star troopers marched up to the band director, who was on a tower directing us, they drug him off the field. The fans were going crazy. Then we started playing the Imperial March, and Darth Vader appeared and directed the band from there on. The fans erupted and rocked. Who would believe a conservative Christian university and 50,000 fans would adore such a villian. Love your music and talent Mr. Piano Man. It's sad you never learnt how to smile.
My top ten would have included both the James Bond opening theme and The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly. If it could also include music used as but not written as themes my number one pick would be Also Sprach Zarathustra.
That was a lovely rendition of Comptine d'un autre ete: l'apres midi, though I'm not sure I'd say it's the main theme of the movie, or the person. :) Have had it as my alarm tone for decades, makes waking up bearable.
Axel F - for me the most iconic one. But for the heart it's Amelie. By playing this my daughter convinced me that it's good to invest into her piano lessons 😀
As a great fan of OMPS, a lot of Themes escort my Life since I was 10 or so. But the last 20 Years nothing warms my heart more than the unique sound of Harry Potter's "Hedwig's Theme". 🥰
