I like Moe better. His backstory is hilarious. He’s based on pranksters calling a bartender in New York and asking him to call out phoney names like Stu Pitt (Stupid) before he realized what was going on, to which he would swear at the pranksters. The pranksters actually recorded the prank calls and put them on cassette tapes, which they sold to everyone!
Dark Knight Court should have been one of the Top 10 Mr. Burns episodes here from the later seasons. It's just as good as the Mr. Burns episodes from the earlier seasons here! June 9, 2019, 2:06pm
Also, The Simpsons is like a broken clock-if you can't fix it the old way, put some brand new parts in it (as in new writers) and make it work a new way! Did you see Make Way for Noddy's Mr. Sparks and the Broken Clock? Gobbo liked it better the old way. June 9, 2019, 2:23pm
... If you want to quote something, please try to get it right. It's convict, not prosecute. No court anywhere prosecutes anyone; it either convicts or acquits. It is a completely different authority that prosecutes; in USA -and in a criminal case, it would be The U.S. Atthorney's Office (and again NOT a fuckin' court)
@@adampkalb, if that's their reasoning than The Springfield Files shouldn't count. Last Exit to Springfield has the negotiation scene which should make it on this list for that alone.
My favourite Simpsons episodes featuring Mr Burns are : 1) Who Shot Mr Burns 2) Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk (where he sells the power plant to Germans. I like it because everyone sings the goodbye song to him in Moe’s Taven)
I do not know how the hell that didn't make this top 10, here. What a damn shame, that WatchMojo overlooked Last Exit to Springfield from season 4! They also overlooked Blood Feud from season 2, as well. :( Also Burn's Heir from season 5, Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk from season 3, and Team Homer from season 7 all got overlooked, WTF? I definitely would've substituted Mountain of Madness and $pringfield for different episodes instead, but that's just my opinion.
I mean, there's more than ten, I know, but there's less than fifteen. Only one episode wouldn't get an honourable mention, especially as Wedding For Disaster won't count.
Anyone remember the contest Butterfinger candy bar had on who shot Mr. Burns? If you found the culprit in the wrapper of the candy you mail it in and win.
Two Dozen and One Greyhounds was just OK. Every single episode below it was miles better and Curse of the Flying Hellfish should have been on the actual list
Ahoyhoy There, Fellow RU-vidrinos! That's me to a tee! I aughta sue you for such a cantankerous likeness, but I shan't. I have my eleven o'clock to deal with.
What about the episode where Burns goes broke and sells his house to Bret Hart, then creates Lil Lisa Slurry? That was a very memorable episode. Or when Bart becomes Burns' heir.
My fave character next to Lisa! From Treehouse of horrors parody of Frankenstein.... "Oh, Smithers! How I was wrong to play God. Life is precious...Now, take out that brain and flush it down the toilet!" "Smithers, hand me that ice cream scoop. " But sir... "This isnt rocket science , it's Brain Surgery!" Whistles IF I ONLY HAD A BRAIN , and puts Homer's brain on top of his head and says...." Look at me, I'm Davy Crocket!" After Frankenstein(homer) comes to life.... " Oh, that fellow at Radio Shack said I was mad, but who's mad now!!"
The first seven years, give or take, of the Simpsons was easily one of if not the funniest show on tv. So many hilarious, comedically inventive ideas and situations with Mr Burns as the Darth Vader of Simpsons characters leading the asylum.
Homer the Smithers best line is when Burns is badmouthing Homer brutally to Smithers on the phone (which is being held by Homer) he says, But I can't talk freely...
