Again, we respect everyone's right to free speech and expression, but please refrain from vandalizing the Comments section with "wanna see a problem with the comments section." We get it, not everyone will like the new comments section but by and large, it actually has a lot of improvements, and mainly: the majority of our audience want to comment on the video here, and not be disturbed by the spam. Again, those kinds of comments don't harm RU-vid, they harm WatchMojo and make us have less time to create new videos as we need to spend time cleaning the comments section. We don't to block anyone, but will if it goes on as a courtesy to our viewers and respect for those who are here to enjoy the clips and comment on them. We respect you, all we ask is respect back!
Chris Lowe You should sit in on our conversations or listen in to our calls and then tell us if you still think we suck up to them ;) - that said, when a viewer comes on our channel and spams the comments section, that has less to do with Google and more to do with us, so I like to think we can explain to our otherwise smart and loyal viewers why it hurts us, not Google. Google doesn't care if X% of the users don't like the new comments section. Think about it, our videos may get 100,000 views in Day 1 and 1,000,000 by end of the first month and maybe there are 5,000-10,000 comments by then; the majority of RU-vid's viewers don't even comment. So if anything, we are SUCKING UP TO THE USERS THAT DON'T WANT TO PUT UP THE SPAM, and not Google.
okay i was gonna complain about only giving winehouse the number seven spot but then i realized how wierd it was that we're rating peoples deaths in the first place
Yeah, I don't think it's a competition so to speak. Like, who had the most spectacularly tragic and lonely death at the tender age of 27. Life is hard for everyone. Some people don't make it.
Mr Rogers Because he was 25, not 27....Top 10 musicians who died age 27? Ring any bells. It's all in the title my friend. Maybe they could do a top ten musicians who died age 25? Hey Tupac could be on it!
Diana Moore he killer himself Jimi Hendrix was killed by hi manager and Anton yelchin died in car accident by getting his head smash in by his car which I was devastated about when I was 11 since I am a huge Star Trek fan.
@@thisisthewolf9521 what are you talking about? Rock was becoming stale and he revolutionised it and new genres appeared. But I guess as long as you want to live the same way forever and screw everybody else, then it is all good yeah?
@KEITH_APE He loved her. And that my friend, trumps what you personally desire for your self. Just be happy for what you have gotten and stop being sad about what you will never have.
Another musician that died at the age of 27; Alan Wilson, the guitarist from 1960's blues based band Canned Heat. He even performed at the 1969 Woodstock festival a year before his death.
even though Jim Morrison died nearly 50 years ago, it still makes me sad to think about the fact that he died so young. I've read and watched interviews where he discussed the future of music and it makes me really sad that he never got to see it :(
Agree 100% with that and sorry if you weren't a LP fan but Chester Bennington was a one of a kind himself. Wish all that talent could have filled a recording studio just once. Imagine what would have come out of that bunch. And way more then 10 and Chester mentioned. All the talent that was taken too soon. All genre's!
I hate seeing people saying rip Kurt or rip Jimi like what about the other ALL of the people in the list was talented so may everyone on the list rest in piece😢
Julian Valenzuela I agree plus if people got into it brian jones is the most mysterious because when he died he died right as his girlfriend left him alone in his pool and then minutes later she returned to find him face down and floating. It’s really sad but brian inspired me to become a musician.
Dude, Jim Morrison Is The Lizard King, Were Is His Love. The Guy Was The Most Brilliant Writer Ever And People Just Forget About It. RIP James Douglas Morrison
Kayleen Myers April 5th is my BD too. Crazy that Kurt isn’t the only one of my fav singers to die on my Birthday. Add Layne Staley of Alice In Chains. RIP to them both.
BubbaZen10 Jim Morrison was a poet, a true artist in every sense of that word. Cobain was a wannabe, a con-man whose importance was so overblown some idiots even claim he invented grunge. Lol
+008Invisibleman A con-man of what exactly ?How was he not a poet?Did you ready the lyrics? So silly.Kurt was playing punk rock ,people called it grunge.
Somnivers so silly?? What's silly is that people like you think his incoherent thoughts spat out as lyrics could be elevated to the level of poetry. Kurt Cocain was the male version of Taylor Swift (grosses me out to think of) with better songwriting skills. He had no real skill as a musician to speak of, couldn't sing or play an instrument for shit. If he wasn't blond or white, nobody would give shit about him. The only reason he was more popular is that he shot himself, which made some suicidal angsty prepubescent boys and rockstar wannabes identify themselves with him.
I love Kurt Cobain and nirvana are one of my favourite bands but even I could admit that Jimi Hendrix deserved to be at number one and Kurt to be at number 2...yes, Kurt Cobain was an incredible musician, but he was not the best! Just because that's my opinion, doesn't mean I'm not a huge fan of his (because I am) the butt hurt nirvana fans need to realise that because they're a huge fan of nirvana, doesn't mean they have to think that Kurt Cobain should be #1
Harrington Da silva Cobain played Left handed Fender Jags. Mostly with just 4 chords. He threw them together pretty well though. He had a RH Martin and others, but strung and saddled them left. It's not like he actually played the strings upside down. Hendrix played Strats upside down but also strung left. They did have LH guitars back then. Hendrix just chose to be different.
Kurt is 53 years old today, he always blew us away, No pun intended, Dave’s powerhouse drums, Pat’s guitar techniques, Krist’s dirty overshadowed bass and Kurt’s elegant yet moans will forever echo in our hearts. RIP KURT 20.02.1967 - 5.4.1994. ❤️
@Christopher Bingham you are looking to be negative so I guess your life is a bit shitty or you got beaten up by your old lady but even with that being said you don't actually know the girl or anyone she knows to comfier so grow up if you are indeed 30 hahaha 😂
When was she?? Violent?? Amy Winehouse was only “violent” because everyone pushed her farther and farther over the edge, and the media treated her even worse. She was angry, and needed help, but no one was there.
@Christopher Bingham watch her documentary or read stuff about her life then you know that she was an amazing, inteligent, funny old soul with a huge talent who just wanted to be understand.
I know I'll probably get blasted for this, but Amy Winehouse was such a wasted talent. She really could sing, and early in her career was a promising, attractive young woman with a lot to give. It was really horrible to see her slowly get thinner and sicker-looking over the years and not really a surprise to hear she died. Such a shame.
Amazing that none of Axl, Slash, Duff, Adler, or Izzy ended up on one of these lists. Adler had a stroke from a drug overdose and Slash was found in a hotel room with a stopped heart, but somehow all 5 are around today
They are also my 3 favorites from that time. I could really relate a lot to Janis especially. Thankfully I don’t abuse drugs though. My nonverbal autistic son is 15 and one of his favorite songs is “Me & Bobby McGee.
@@haysmcdonnell4460 Are you serious? Nirvana is my favourite band, but everyone knows that Kurt wasn't really talented. He made really good riffs but he wasn't really talented. Saying that Kurt Cobain is more talented than Robert Johnson or Jimi Hendrix is idiotic.
@@likeabumblebee im from Belgium, I've never heard from the guys you drop (except the video) but Kurt is a legend, also in a little country like Belgium, says enough about talent I guess...
nope other popular artists died at 27 before him. After the death of Jimi and Janis, people noticed they both died at 27 and remembered Brian died at 27 not a long time ago too.
all 3 of my favorite rockers at the top love it. 1. Jimi Hendrix 2. Kurt Cobin 3. Jim Morrison The Kings of Rock in Roll Period. a true list too. Glad all 3 of my favorite guys are up there side by side. Rip.
um no let's see i grew up watch Nirvana on mtv unplugged and there albums on radio. And have seen Morison and Hendrix live on youtube and tv. Besides every great artist that somebody likes or loves are dead so your point? and if you did not like any of these artist you would not be on here replying to my comment go troll somewhere else.
***** he meant he loves that they were in the top of all the 10 artists, like they were the most "important"/influential or whatever, not the fact that they are dead... Oh and it's Kurt CobAin -_- funny how you bitch about this guy having "no knowledge about rock" when you can't even spell KC's name
you sound dumb i'm the biggest Nirvana fan you will meet. Kurt Cobain is a legend in rock music. seriously kid go troll somewhere else don't insult my rock music smarts because you sound dumb doing it really.
***** Jimi Hendrix was better than Kurt Cobain. Kurt would have said Jimi was better than him. Also, you have no Rock smarts at all if you are saying Kurt was better than Jimi. Don't believe me? "At age 14, Cobain announced to a schoolmate that he would be a superstar musician, get rich and famous, kill himself and go out in a blaze of glory like Jimi Hendrix. Neither boy realized Hendrix’s death wasn't suicide." If anything, you are the dumb one. Especially since you don't know Jimi enough to say Kurt was better than him.
10. Amy Winehouse (solo) 9. Pete Ham (Badfinger) 8. Ron McKernan (Grateful Dead) 7. Chris Bell (Big Star) 6. Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) 5. Janis Joplin (solo, Full Tilt Boogie Band, Big Brother Holding Company, etc) 4. Brian Jones (The Rolling Stones) 3. Robert Johnson (solo) 2. Jim Morrison (The Doors) 1. Jimi Hendrix (The Jimi Hendrix Experience and solo)
Amy winehouse was a much better vocalist musician than Janis Joplin. while I do love both, and pretty much everyone on the list, Amy voice and technical use of it was superb. very underrated .
You don't know how important lyrics are...kurt is absolutely no.1 lose to us... The generation X... Even if sir jimi or sir Morrison lived more 10 years they just have given us classic songs... But what dipreson is called and what mindset is that can only given by Kurt cobain...by just 3 albums he fucked all artists in this list... You all are just watching classical legendary... Not impact... Impact to generation.... So fuck your list...
Deceased Musicians who survived age 27: Avicii (died 2018; age 28) Chester Bennington (died 2017; age 41) Prince (died 2016; age 57) Whitney Houston (Died 2012; age 48) David Bowie (Died 2016; age 69) John Lennon (died 1980; age 40) Elvis Presley (died 1977; age 42) Many more have survived 27 but that’s all I have for now.

They got #1 correct. Hendrix is the ALL TIME "what if?". What more would he had done if he hadn't died so young? Of course he was an exceptional guitarist but probably an even better song writer and innovator who to this day bewilders thousand of musicians.
Agreed Jon well put, but past his musicianship he was a very nice man indeed loved by all who came to know him. On Valentines Day 1968 he and his Women friends rolled 1400 joints and mailed them to people found in a London phone book. It is sad to realize that not 1 of those 1400 people who received a joint in 68 came to his funeral. All time great loss in the 27 Club.
Thanks for mentioning Jimi's songwriting. Most people just look upon him as a great guitar player but i also think he was one of the great underrated songwriters. One of the best.Unfortunately i'm not so sure that this is a great list to be number one in.
Danny Dine For real Danny. Jimi could write songs and innovate with the very best of ANYONE. It can't be overstated how much his music in he wrote broke the mold of much of modern music.
"its better to burn out than to fade away" yes, if your life is great you should live long, but i guess you dont know what they felt so you cant judge them!

I don't think people understand the influence Kurt kobain has made on a lot of topics, but let's start with music, he essentially synthesized and boosted the grunge scene. On top of that he boosted, alternative, and punk, as well. He made a difference also based on his lyrics, and the deeper meaning behind theme, he had an amazing voice that was soothing when you listened to the live versions of hi
I wonder if Kurt was alive if he would still be as popular, his death made him a legend forever, but if he hadn't I wonder if he would still be making music
" A star shines its brightest before it die" This explains why Bieber is still a alive and making "music" while the artist mentioned in this video who were considered amazing and legendary are gone.

I honestly think Courtney love is kinda shady if you think about Kurt Cobains death. He told her he was leaving her, cut her out of his will, and wanted full custody of Frances. His near-death coma in Rome not long after was believed to be a murder attempt, only Courtney claimed it was a suicide attempt. She went as far as to remove him from the hospital he was at to an American hospital against advice by the doctors. Everyone who knew Kurt said he wasn't suicidal, rather optimistic about the future. Only Courtney kept making it sound like he was going crazy. The shotgun shell fell to his right arm, while most detectives believed it should've fallen to his left arm given the angle his head and body were positioned with the shotgun in his arms. The amount of heroin in his system was considered to be too much for him to function well enough to angle a shotgun towards himself and shoot it. Tom Grant, an investigator Courtney hired to find Kurt after he checked out of rehab, even states that Courtney conspired against killing Kurt. The suicide note didn't sound very suicidal. Only the final paragraph had some inkling to suicide, no direct reference of it. Most of it read more like a departure from the music industry and impending divorce from Courtney. El Duce was an acquaintance of Kurt and Courtney who said that Courtney offered him 50k to shoot Kurt. Three days later, he was found dead on a railroad track supposedly suicide after drinking. Sounds awfully suspicious.
+Alex Henson we all know man. it's ok lol. she'll be arrested soon enough and should be charged with murder of not only Kurt but even for all the kids who took their lives because of his death
Nik Blackburn na she won't get arrested because they will just say if she didn't kill him he would of died of drugs anyway the cops don't care how famious you are they don't want to wait there time investigating a story on a guy who was a drugie is a shame
