The wonderful thing about her and in my opinion one of the reasons why she resides at the top, is because she actually fails QUITE frequently but the show goes on. She's fallen, messed up words, had failed businesses, sneezed in the middle of songs, messed up choreography, but she just won't stop!!! That's what true success is to me. She's come so far and is everything you could ask for in a performer for my generation. I love her. She has been a trailblazer showing us that our bodies are nothing to be ashamed of and that our feelings and beliefs are nothing to hide. She rules the music industry and is truly a Queen. Her level of confidence when she is performing shows us that she knows that in that moment she owns the stage and it doesn't matter what anyone else says about her and that is true motivation. If you can't call Beyonce anything else, you can call her a woman. She has given us the image of what a woman is supposed to be. We are not supposed to let men break us we are supposed to have each others' backs and we should never be afraid of our own bodies. Beyonce is perfect. There's no denying it. Gary Davis yes exactly 2016 VMAs are iconic but the super bowl takes it. It displayed her legacy on such a grand level. And yes I had to include 2006 BET awards it's one of her best performances of her career I think. I forgot to include the 2012 performance of I was here at the United Nations for world humanitarian day as an honorable mention.
I think the 2016 VMAs deserve the top spot. On the one hand, subjectively speaking, the vibe of Lemonade was the most intense, raw, showing vulnerability and fierceness all into one; a perfect mix in my opinion. On the other hand, the outfits were stunning and so inspiring, truly different from any other she's had in performances before Lemonade and Formation Tour; the choreography, how she went from one song to the other, all done so smoothly (not saying Superbowl 2013 was bad in that sense), to me she's on a whole other level here. Although I appreciate the energy she had at the 2013 Superbowl (that's where she excels, I think), the 2016 VMAs performance was so intense, heartfelt, fiery in a way never done before by her. Oh, and let's be honest. The 2013 Superbowl make-up was atrocious, just look at the memes.

I point this out as often as possible when her performance at the 2011 billboard awards performance is mentioned! Because so many don’t realize how little time they had to do any reversal at all. Then add to it that she knows she’s pregnant but did not tell it to anyone outside of her family. She later expressed she didn’t want any special treatment or similar acts. She busted her ass for this performance, killed it like the boss she is all while being the classiest woman possible! There are few out there who live life in a manner that allows a parent to look at their daughter and say “here’s a performer showing you that you CAN run the world!”.
