Hey! Thanks for watching! If you do not see a link through the "View Products" links available on the screen you will find it down in the description under the appropriate chapter marker for the trend. 🥰
The full skirts we've become accustomed to lately are staying on the fall, and even winter. And it’s great news for my existing wardrobe. Amazing video. I love it!
A few years back I bought a pleated midi, bigger leopard print skirt at a thrift shop. I also bought a black moto jacket at Walmart a few years ago. I have yet to wear either. Maybe this is the year.
I thought satin was always polyester too, so good to know. I am now excited about Fall; I love so many of the trends you showed us! I had just ordered a leopard print tshirt from Nordstrom so I will enjoy wearing that and knowing I’m in style. I love burgundy so really happy about that, I have an old but good burgundy leather handbag I’ll be wearing this Fall. Thanks, Jamie!
Satin was originally always silk, but it’s a weave pattern. Cotton sateen is also technically a satin, just with shorter fibers. It’s amazing that even companies get the terminology wrong.
Fringe and leopard have been favorites of mine since the 70’s whether in style or not. Fuller skirts, wide pants are difficult to style for those with slender shoulders.
We have a lot to look forward to, style wise. I discovered my love for leopard print and cargo pants last fall. I needed cargo/ utility pants for an outdoor event that Labor Day and they were scarce by August. I’m well prepared for this year and got some great deals during the July sales. I have had negative feelings toward Jean skirts in the past, but that dark denim A-line midi/maxi is beautiful. I am also embracing the cropped trend since I am closer to my desired weight. Thank you for posting. I always find your take on fashion trends very interesting.
Thanks, Jamie, for the scoop on coming trends. I'll be wearing my 10 year old leopard print bomber jacket...glad I kept it! I never got into jean skirts but I think fringe looks good on one. By the way, your hair is so cute! Thanks again for the work you do! ❤
I love that you have one that's 10 years old! Never give up your leopard print because it always comes back. The dress I had on was from Nordstrom 4 years ago! 😝 Thanks so much!
Satin describes a way of weaving fabric that makes it look shinny. Satin can be made of cotton or silk, as well as synthetic fabrics. I really enjoy your channel.
I'm liking the burgandy trend with the leopard print.❤ I'll be adding both to my closet. I do already have Leopard print in closet. Will be looking for outfits ideas in both. I have olive skirt and jacket but don't wear will need inspo.
I think I am the only person who hates the whole western look. I don’t like cowboy boots, I don’t like fringe, I don’t like cowgirl hats. The whole style seems like dressing up in a costume to me. I think it’s because I prefer very tailored clothing and this trend is pretty much the exact opposite. Clearly I am the only one who feels this way though. lol.
I agree, although I do own 2 pairs of cowboy boots, one in tan leather and the other is red leather. I don’t wear them often but they are comfy and I do like them. I really prefer my black Franco Suerto Beatle boots.
I love and have some burgundy pieces, so I'm glad they're going to be on trend! I'd love to see a video on toe shapes that are trending. Are pointed toes still the most current?
Love your channel and how you always show the new trends early on! I’m not much on fringe, but those shoes were cute! Not for me at 73 but when I was a teen I would have vegged for them! Ha! Do you know if kitten heels are still trending? Like block heels I hope they’re in for a long time! And I know block heels may not be trending much, but I’m wearing mine! Thanks for a great video! Really, really enjoyed this!
You are so welcome! Yes, kitten heels are still trending and in a major way! I have a Shoe Trends video coming on Saturday or Sunday! I am still wearing my block heels even though they are not trending! 👍
There is a difference between fabric and weave - polyester, viscose, cotton, linen are all fabrics. Satin, chiffon, organza are all the way the fabric is woven and were all originally made of silk. At least, that is my understanding. When weaving satin the weft thread jumps over several warp threads (a lot of weaves are 1:1) and that gives it it's shiny look, but also makes it more likely to catch on things. I found a very good youtube video explaining all about fabrics and weaves, but that was a while ago and I cannot remember the name.
Aww, I dislike all of them. My 17 year old daughter said, "you can wear whatever you want." LOL Yes, yes I can. I do like burgundy as a color, at least. :)
I cant do any cowboy looking clothes except old cowboy boots. Maybe fringe handbag. I still love love my chunky colored boots, they are so fun to pull out in colder weather and go with everything.
Love the top stitching on the pleated denim miniskirt. Recently bought 4 A-line denim midi-skirts in ivory, dark wash, teal and brown. Looking forward to pairing a seafoam shaker sweater est with the teal midi. I have some burgundy from last year that i hope to mix with deep orange,s soft apricots and muted pinks this year, maybe even with magenta or hot pinks too. Sweaters, scarves, bags, belts, shoes in unexpected colors. 'Thinking of investing in some yarn and crocheting a lacy wrap for over a midi-skirt, maxi- skirt or wide leg pants. Or a cropped tank or croched tote. It would be so easy to add fronge to a crochet project. Even a headband, belt, pendant or phone case would be a fun pop of color. Are you seeing women wearing purse charms? For awhile, I've been attaching a leather heart-shaprd key ring to my purse handle hardware. Then I click into that with my keychain carabineer after i lock my car.
I am not sure which one you are talking about so here are a few links for things in the video of things that were "pink" and sheer. rstyle.me/+326V5yx-EBEWMcP5W5Y8fg Dress rstyle.me/+brrgZPEXsNYy4i5aDwpy_A rstyle.me/+Jn5HhHzfd8lC3lkQf3BFjg
I love wine/berry/burgundy & have been looking for that color in an ankle boot for a few years now. Also happy to see fuller maxi skirts, shorter more fitted jackets (I don't do boxy/oversized jackets) I also like strategically placed sheer (like sleeves) & chiffon that can be layered over a cami, tank top or slip dress. Fringe can really add movement on the hem & sleeves of a top or dress. (Can you guess that my style is very vintage/Boho?)
As usual, another GREAT video! I’m glad I held on to my leopard prints! 🙂. I can’t seem to find the link for the brown satin midi shirt dress that had the bottom ruffle or pleat…..Can you tell me where to find that one? Blessings!
I will be wearing the crop jackets forever, glad they are here. I have a short torso and the crop jackets fit me so much better than a "regular" length jacket. I look ridiculous in the oversize trend.
Only fringe I will be wearing are my custom $1500 suede chaps that I put on to ride my horse. Other than those, fringe is a hard no for me. I’ll keep them for the arena.
I am a new subscriber and am enjoying your video's. just a suggestion, I love that you have the links right there with the item shown, but if you could move the link maybe to the upper left, that way we can see the items. the link covers the item so when looking at the pants, for instance, we can not see them. thank you!!!
Hi there and thanks for subscribing! I wish I could control where that link goes on the screen but unfortunately I can't. RU-vid has not given us the option to customize it and I have put in a request for us to be able to. Sorry for the annoyance.
@@YourGuideToStyle not at all! I guess I should have known you where on this! like I said, I like that it made it easier for me to shop and I did purchase a few things. what if you sat on the left and had the items on the right? bet you already thought of that too! thank you!!!!
I liked those, although I wouldn't call them barrel anything. They looked like wide-leg trousers to me. I noticed the cuffed hem. Are those coming back in?
It's a no on the fringe shoes, but I have a question for you: I found a denim prairie skirt in my closet from long ago. It's midi length and trimmed in ecru cotton. Out of style? Thoughts?
Satin is a weave, not a fabric, so it can be made from silk ,or man made fabrics like poly. Also, a circle skirt is what it says, a circle. Anything that is not a full circle is more an A-line. usually circle skirts would not have gathers or pleating.
The wall color is Sherwin Williams Edgecomb Gray and the trim is just a white and I have no idea what exact color. The trim was painted before we bought the house.
I bought a new chiffon maxi floral dress. It has a white background and the floral prints are hues of magenta. I am having doubts. Can you please tell me if floral prints are out of style? I hope not
I live in Canada. Sheer is not something we would wear in winter! I already have 6 pairs of cargo pants because a while ago I decided to not carry a purce most of the time for safety's sake. Lots of pockets! I'm concerned if they become really trendy because then they will go out of style with equal force.
Round toe ballet flats…yuck! It’s funny, because I used to love them; now they just look frumpy! I am loving the squares off ballet flats & mary-janes. 😀
Ok, I despise fringe and those really sheer shirts and skirts look like someone got lazy. Glad to know that my midi skirts and cargo pants won't be ridiculed, though.
I hope I don’t insult too many people but I didn’t like any of the fall trends, except the leopard skirt and leopard shoes bc I have those, but pass on the rest🤷🏼♀️
No to cargo pants. I have some but I wear them when I travel as I’ll put my passport in the pocket. Green is not a color I can wear. Green doesn’t do my fair complexion any favors.
It always comes back though. I have a fringe bag that I’ve brought out again and again over the last ten years. I still love it. The nice thing about the trend cycles being so fast is you can’t just wait it out.
