what is to be considered souls games: 1. No difficulty setting so everyone are playing on the same difficulty 2. No quest tracking 3. The story are dark and ambiguous where it makes you become an archaeologist 4. Difficult dungeons and terrain 5. Many death
Why are almost all of them Eastern Asia themed, it’s like every studio wanted Sekiro 2, it’s an incredible game so no shade against it, but it feels like it won’t be as special when 10 look-alikes all release
@@0666-q2p I personally hated the combat. I hate the parry mechanic and much prefer dodge rolling. I enjoyed the stealth though. It would have been a much better game if they let you use stealth for the bosses as well.
@@DanteisntHere they were exaggerating the amount of years in order to express how long it feels like they have been waiting for it to come out. They did not mean it literally.
Has been released in China. Got pretty bad reviews already. Meaningless skills, unreasonable amount of grinding for progression, boring and repetitive side missions.....the list goes on.
@@che9218unreasonable skills? Hell no it's inspired from wuxia (mythology) But Combat can be refined better But on other queries you put forth are true
1) Most of these are games being made by Chinese mobile game developers. That should give you an idea of the quality and potential of them. 2) You could have played this from start to finish without showing the titles of each game and nobody would have known that it was 10 separate games. 😮💨
Damn I played it too and I thought it was super clunky. It has great potential though. I’m keeping in mind that the demo we played was a beta and they’re gonna use that feedback to make it better. Fingers crossed

Is Black Myth really a souls like? It’s not open world, the story is linear, there are skill trees, everyone is the same character, you have the same weapon the whole game. It seems more like GOW than a souls game.
I've been waiting for a Cultivation(Martial arts, Qi manipulation, Immortality pursuer) kind of games for years. I don't want it to be a turn based game.

Sekiro is irreplaceable. And i havent even played it yet. Just take inspiration from elden ring. That game is goated af and it set a new bar for gaming
Everybody wants souls this and souls that. I was counting on Team Ninja to do the Three Kingdoms right, but they deviated from Nioh and embraced that stupid parry system. If I want to parry, I will play For Honor. We need a solid open world Three Kingdom rpg with customization. Same as we need a solid Gundam game with open space capabilities and customization. How are these game development companies really missing the hearts of people this drastically.
This word "Soulslike" is used too often, too easily for a game. It is time to clarify what it means and what should have a game to be called as Soulslike? Some people think every (Action) RPG is a Soulslike and the developers then have to make it clear that this is not the case.
