My rankings for the top 10 pitchers in Nippon Professional Baseball history. Top 10 Batters: • Top 10 NPB Batters of ... Tanaka vs. Darvish: • Masahiro Tanaka vs. Yu... Subscribe for more NPB content in English.
Yu Darvish is my favorite pitcher because of pro Yakyuu spirits 6 he literally has every pitch in that game on his build and look at how cool he looks in the fighters uni back then he was throwing nasty stuff
This is an excellent list of pitchers you have, but you forgot to mention Kimiyasu Kudoh, the guy was a 2x MVP, an 11x Japan Series Winner, 3x Gold Glove winner among many other accolades, The guy was an absolute Legend, definatley a big miss of the list, he probably wou;ld have ranked in the top 3 in my opinion
Interesting footage you have. Nomo only faced Hanshin in the preseason... but you have him whiffing Yutaka Wada. One comment: Sugano should be in the top 10 if you're putting Tanaka, Nomo and Darvish in there (I feel like their MLB accomplishments tilt things in their favor, but this list is not about how guys do in MLB, is it?) Good video on the whole!
Oh I believe the Nomo footage is from the All-Star game actually. And yes, Sugano is definitely top 10 caliber. As I stated in the honorable mentions section, he’ll find his way onto the top 10 by the end of his career but I really wanted to put Matsuzaka in the top 10. Sugano’s run prevention is much better than Matsuzaka and Nomo overall but he broke into the league at 23 whereas Daisuke, Tanaka, and Darvish all did at 18. I think Dice-K also had a greater generational impact on the game, being coined the “Heisei Era Monster” and racking up some outstanding strikeout totals. Sugano’s innings totals are around the same as Matzusaka, Tanaka, and Darvish’s NPB totals but those three have a ton of MLB innings to go with it so I gave them the nod.
@@YakyuCosmopolitan Above all, I appreciate how much time you took to consider this list. I was by no means disagreeing with you. Like I said, really good video. Wish I had the time and ability to do vids like this, too!
The best pitcher of all time is either Kaneda or Sawamura. However, since baseball in the modern era and the dawn of baseball are very different, it might be better to consider them separately.
