I have a question… what made you use the underlayment by front door and in the bedroom but not the kitchen/laundry room & bathroom peel and stick adhesive. Love your work and I’m getting started on my own 💪🏽🔨
@ 1:04:22 - This is exactly the tiles and layout I used for my 2 bathrooms floor and above the shower as accent walls. Also I used it on my kitchen walls and backsplash. I placed them close to each other. No grout, though. I used Liquid nails for glue. It has been 4 yrs and they're still good! Love how you did it with grout! Beautiful!!!

I like your RU-vid channel The tips and the "before" and "afters" are inspiring. I really like how real you seem, like regular people. Not full makeup and perfect clothes while doing a project. You didn't act like you've got all the answers. The inspiration you are giving is we are regular people you are regular people and it's more appealing then watching someone who doesn't look like it was them really doing the project. Also, I have 5 adult children. We always let them help when they were younger, and it gives them confidence in DIY endeavors as they age. They remember the bonding moments and even when they aren't in the mood to help and they got grumpy or whiney, they will remember it differently as they age. You will remember the project taking longer but they will remember how patient and cool that you were. They will remember that they helped and learned. Great job guys. You are a couple/family to be proud of. ♡
This doesn’t get old 😊I always watch this video for knowledge and inspiration ,lately I’ve been coming across ikea wood placed outside I acquire the wood give it a good cleaning 🧼 and cut it to my liking 😊it’s like god knows my heart ❤️ and placed it there for me my whole apartment was done completely free with a few exceptions 😮like fire 🔥 place etc etc. but I love your channel and will always support your beautiful family stay strong 💪🏼 together nothings perfect that’s what makes it so much sweeter thanks 🙏 for the family videos

I would have removed the air vent/ screws and just spray painted. In addition, I would have put a trim or molding around the tile to give the edges a more finished look. I'm a stickler for aesthetics. Love your videos and will continue to watch and learn.

Absolutely beautiful!! I never thought of peel and stick tile. Removing the toilet was smart. Many people don’t think to do that. I put ceramic tile in my master bathroom and it was tough. It would’ve been so much easier with peel and stick tiles. Congratulations and involving your son was a great idea then he can be proud that he was a part of it!!❤

Door frames can be easily undercut with a hand saw or sawzall tool to assist the installation of flooring around the door frames. Gives a finished look. I was thinking of using a peel and stick product as a kitchen backsplash. Thanks for the cost effective suggestions.

We wouldn't tile inside of the shower because it will produce mold. You can use the moisture control adhesive outside of the shower 🚿 and it will stand up against steam. I've found if you make a stencil of the area you need to cut it's easier. Just use packing paper & a marker, trace the area & then attach the stencil to the tile you want to cut.

I have a quick question. I was told not to ever use peel and stick tile because they move after a short time. Does adding grout help keep that from happening?
Patricia, Yes. Adding grout will help keep your peel and stick tiles in place. We use grout like a seal to eliminate or minimize possible water damage. Also, peel and stick can save you a lot of money and give your home a really nice updated look. Hope this helps!😊

That first peel and stick tile is exactly what my new landlord used. I watched this video, hoping my tiles (bathroom & kitchen--so cute!) would show up. 😀 Two of the tiles in the bathroom, behind the door, aren't sticking at their adjoined edges. When I hand-press them they pop back up after a few seconds. That is how I realized they were peel and stick. And I blabbed it to all my fellow tenant buddies. 🤪 I was also wondering if I could use light gray grout to camouflage the dark spaces between the tiles. Soooo happy I watched.
