Thank you son much for this outstanding video. I was interested in this house and want to buy a very masculine fragrance in the future for my collection. Have a very beautiful day Sebastian.
No Blazing Mr Sam? That's my favorite scent from the house. Outstanding cold weather scent. Very lush, warm and spicy scent with nice tobacco background. It's the epitome of a masculine scent from this house.
Penhaligons is one of the oldest perfume houses. Blenheim Bouquet was made for Winston Churchill's family who own/live in Blenheim Palace to this day. Bouquet was made for his uncle the 9th Duke of Marlborough by Walter Penhaligon 120 years ago. Winston Churchill also wore it and liked to spray it on his handkerchief as well. My Uncle used to wear it and I had an Aunt who wore Penhaligon's Elizabethan Rose in the 1970s, they won't discontinue the original perfumes like Blenheim, Elizabethan Rose, Quercis, Sartorial etc. My sister has been wearing their Juniper Sling for decades. I wear my husbands Blenheim Bouquet but I am interested to try the Constantinople which is a newer one.
Penhaligon's The Bewitching Yasmin is my FAVORITE I discovered it one when I was doing valet, some guy sprayed it in his Cadillac and I just couldn't get out of the car I was almost TRANCED , I had to have it I saw him the next day because I had to valet his car and I begged him to tell me what it was but he didn't speak any english , he left came back with food and his wife kinda got the hint of what I was in need of so she approached me and handed me a bottle , my face SMILED for ear to ear maaaaannnn what a day / experience
I'm from England and no doubt Penhaligon is one of our finest fragrance houses, my top 5: 1) Bayolea - Timeless masterpiece most underrated fougerre ever, shame they discontinued it. 2) Opus 1870 - Most elegant Penhaligon scent imo. 3) Endymion - Magical mysterious scent which is the best date scent in the Penhaligon library. 4) Castile - My favourite Penhaligon summer scent. 5) Sartorial - Not a major fan of this one has a unappealing green note which throws me off the scent but it's alright a guess.
I’m based in the UK so Penhaligon’s is an accessible house for me. I’ve been going back and forth on whether I should get Legacy of Petra or not for fall/winter. I’m still testing it before I decide. It’s Angel’s Share in the first few minutes with myrrh and liquorice. The liquorice is making me nostalgic of the old formulation of Lolita Lempicka which I loved. I’m female and I own Sports Car Club. It’s my only full bottle from Penhaligon’s and I found it delightful during spring/summer. To me it’s like cruising down (albeit in a slower pace) in a top-down car along the countryside lined with eucalyptus and pine trees. Relaxing and comforting for me. 😊
For a while now, I've been interested to try some Penhaligon's fragrances. I'm most interested in trying "Halfeti Cedar" because I like its notes listing. Is it similar to Amouage "Jubilation XXV Man"?
Once I tried Penhaligons I realised the quality difference you get from spending double or even triple of what I usually bought. It’s worth it, as I find it stays on my clothes for days. I got 6 different bottles from them now and I always get compliments, even from strangers!
Penhaligons is absolutely one of my favorite brands. I for one quite enjoy the pace at which they release and then discontinue offerings. They’re dynamic, unique, and their fragrances tell a story. It also helps that they all smell fantastic.
I only got into the brand this year but oh my, what a delightful find. Yes, they’re not the cheapest brand out there but neither are they the most expensive either. My current favourite is in fact the same as yours,Halfeti Cedar. I own the complete trio sets Cedar, Leather and of course the original Halfeti too. I also purchase their hand and body wash and their lotions as well, Blenheim. Bouquet and a few others also offer an aftershave balm as well which is really good and only needs a small amount to apply. My favourite Portraits offering is The Blazing Mr Sam which I admit is like the portraits version of Halfeti but it’s a real compliment getter, at least for me.
I'm currently loving Babylon at the moment, probably because winter has arrived and the vanilla in babylon is just divine, its like a warm hug in a smell!
Love your content! Apologies if you covered this in another vid, but from a collector/collection perspective, just looking at the shelves behind you, that is an insane amount of fragrance! I consider myself a fragrance "wearer" but not a collector, and I'm wondering what the advantages/disadvantages are to having such a large collection, knowing that it's almost certainly more than anyone could wear in a lifetime. Thanks! Also, I discovered Penhaligon's while researching classic English fragrances, and Sartorial quickly became my favorite. It reminds me somewhat of an ultra posh and super refined version of Pinaud's Clubman.
Your no 1 Halfeti Cedar is my go to through Autumn and winter. Absolutely outstanding with a longevity that is rarely equalled let alone beaten. What would you 'offer' as a spring - summer essence from the Penhaligan range? Having hit the Halfeti Cedar as no1 I'm leaning towards your advice as I'm not sure
My favorite Penhaligons is Monsieur Beauregard. It's so great but sadly, it's so difficult to get in Canada. Not sure why but it's just impossible to find in Canada now. I discovered the brand in early 2021 and I've tested out quite a few of their offerings but nothing grabbed me as much as Monsieur Beauregard. I do enjoy Babylon, Constantinople and The Blazing Mr.Sam but Beauregard is incredible to my nose. The orris, sandalwood and benzoin combo with the cinnamon just blows me away.
I learned about this brand probably a week ago, from the RU-vid channel “TheScented” she featured one of the Portraits scents in her “elegant fragrance” video. I was captivated by their marketing and bottles immediately!!! I took their scent profile quiz and I'm totally stoked for my samples to come in ☺️. I love your videos by the way!!! You’ve helped me pick so many fragrances for the men in my life💕
The Blenheim Bouquet to me smells like a Gin & Tonic. I can drink a G&T while smelling like a G&T, without having to spill the G&T on me. Its a win/win/win.
Hi. You introduced me to Penhaligons. I’ve never heard of it before. I was wondering if you’ve ever smelt zizonia or no 33? I saw for super cheap $56-115, so just wondering if it’s worth it.
Once of my favorites from penhaligon's that I'm gonna buy for myself as soon as its back in stock is not even a male-marketed fragrance. Havent seen it talked about on this channel. Maybe it's nothing special in the overall fragrance market idk, but it's Bewitching Jasmine
My journey into male scent began this morning when I received a sample kit from Penhaligon's. Although there are still 9 more fragrances to go, I strongly suspect that, 'The Tragedy Of Lord George' will become my signature scent? I'll let you know...
Thanks for the video Sebastian , I really like Halfeti Cedar & Leather .. I am surprised that The Uncompromising Sohan didn't make your top 10 , it's my favorite from the house 🤔🤔. Would love to know why it didn't make the cut for you? Cheers Brutha 😎
I have Halfeti cedar but also ordered mr harrods from harrods of course I imagine you don’t have it since it’s not on the most check it’s out when you get a chance great tobacco scent
I have to say the recent releases something has changed in the last three years with there perfumes my Halfeti from 3 or 4 years ago performs so much better than compared to the recent batches. Also the new portraits don’t perform very well.
Hi Sebastian, first time I am going to say not the perfect countdown list from your Chanel, I found hard you missed PH Babylon and Ph’s the uncompromising Sohan and P’ heligon’s Empressa😊
