Nothing but respect for the man who had the courage and willpower to cut off his arm and have the intelligence and skill to then navigate his way out of the mountain without an arm 💯
It's Been A Struggle Doing This, Cuz Almost Everyone Hates Me, And I Just Started A Yt Channel, My Goal Is 400 Subs, So It Would Be Very Awesome If Someone Could Be Nice & Helped Me Achieve My Goal💚💚
The Andes Mountain case was really scary, the had to climb a mountain which was 15000 feet high without any gear, this in its self is incredibly difficult, combined with the harsh cold weather and the lack of gear, food and the thought of imminent death. This is basically a summary of why what happened was so incredible and inspiring to many people.
Yeah bro ofc, would u cut your arm, ofc no because u will be scared and wouldn't wanna lose a body part. But this guy was actually really smart and had courage to do. I think Everyone should come and face their fears and scare them away to be more confident !
Yeah, but before you go Gung-Ho and chop off your arm he tightened straps around it to eliminate blood flow to the area so 1. It would be less painful 2. it would not bleed as much. so the guy's pretty big-brain props to him.
@Ghost Rider no like if your body temp was 7 you would die bro, just because its cold out doesnt mean your body is cold like even during a cold day you can just tense up and you would feel the warmth, that warmth does not come from a body that is 7 degrees

Actually Ethan, survival experts say that walking is a bad idea unless you know for sure where you're going and that you'll make it. This is because walking takes up way more energy so you can survive longer by just staying in place. Furthermore, the farther you walk away from the crash site the less likely you are to be found.
@@Marie11Noel yeah real disrespectful to the group of people who had to go through such a gruesome traumatic experience. I'm sure he didn't mean much and was just tryna be funny but it's a pretty shitty response
@@Marie11Noel I would agree but also…if there’s land surrounding you, I am 100% sure you could find wildlife to hunt or veggies to eat/consume. These people basically unnecessarily ate a lot of their friends, which btw is 100% dangerous. Cannibalism can and will eventually kill you, and not just humans, but also animals. Unless the animal is specifically adapted to be able to eat their own, humans aren’t. It’s linked to messing up your head, and also killing you. These people, if they found a farmer in 10 days, surely could’ve went about the situation better. What Ethan said was tasteless, but not really ignorant.

10:00 Reminder that they were in the Andes mountains. They had crashed in the middle of nowhere surrounded by miles and miles of rock and snow and were 55 miles into the Andes mountains. They were also discouraged by several things such as an avalanche that killed 8 of the survivors.
10:21 they walked for about 10 days through the chilenan mountains. They didn’t want to do it before because none of them know where they could go or if they will survive before finding help
Number 5 is an interesting read/watch : They were a Uruguayan Rugby Team going to play a match in Santiago Chile but an experienced pilot got his whereabouts wrong meaning they crashed in the Andes. And the rest the video explained pretty well but it’s crazy how 16 people survived. There’s a book by one of the survivors and some films/shows on it too
I really hate doing this ... I’m not asking for subs I spent *6 hours* editing my most recent video and it’s currently flopping :( It would mean the world of you could check it out , maybe even drop a comment ? I would appreciate it so much if you do , thanks 🙏
The people apparently stayed near the crash site as a big group so that they could get spotted together. But then I think they bonded with each other so tightly that they just gave up before they even began. There were quite a few survivors but some died of starvation because they refused to eat the remains of the other people. The two that journeyed off and found help went for a while before they actually found it… but imagine having to eat a family member.
Was the environment really cold and arid like the video thing showed? I imagine since they found a farmer not too far away, the environment was more suited for wildlife and vegetables/fruit. I would have rather attempted to find food there then eat my own, since cannibalism is incredibly destructive to the body.
@@PhysicallyAwake it was even worse tbh. the one shown on the video was from a 1993 film if im not wrong. but there's a new film called Society of the Snow which actually depicts the situation even better and in a much more raw way just like the original story, to the point it was made with the survivors and their families even, to get the most accurate showing possible. everybody should check it out
My cousin is one of these ppl. His heart stopped 5 times when he was born and hit hours he had to be operated on. The reason was a lump in his stomach by a multiplication of cells in the stomach glands. Still lives👍🏼
That guy who got thrown by the tornado actually passed out by a flower pot hitting him in the head and then the tornado picked him up and threw his and since he was passed out he wasn't tensing is muscles and his bones were able to absorb the force of him hitting the ground. Man I Love Science!!!
Fun fact, one of the only reason suter survived the tornado was because he was knocked out. Sleep allows the body to brace a lot of the damage taken as well as allowing it to repair quicker. Therefore since he was asleep his body was able to take it
As a child growing up, I lived in Minnesota... not only did I got through a real tornado (lived in a trailer park, raining hard, windy af, lucky we made it to a under ground bunker) they had a simulator where u were in a house or something and it had the extreme winds and branches hitting the windows and whatnot.... it was definitely an experience
A couple of them I've seen before, this was an amazing video! The rest I couldn't believe! The lighting one, the guy getting hit in the head, are the ones that I saw before. Very interesting indeed! That just goes to show that these events are something to look at and anything is possible! :)
Totally late to this party but the story about the crashed planes resulting in the survivors having to eat the dead, was made in to a film called ‘Alive’. Watched it numerous times, a great film!
My uncle when he was younger fell off a wall that was gonna collapse, when he fell the wall fell on top of him too and like 50-70 huge bricks fell on him. It cracked his face, skull and ribs and he to this day still hasn’t gone to the doctor about it It happmed 27 years ago and only found out 4 months ago after covid that he still has a fractured skull and broken ribs
They're talking about how after the eleventh lightning strike you would surely go inside during a storm. Clearly after you've survived eleven lightning strikes its safe to assume you're immune to lightning and have nothing to worry about from going outside during a storm
@@danilapolesciuk4316 yeah they are the most annoying pieces of shit they probably said to him oh why dony you just go explore and find food instead of eating the dead ? like bro it we were at the top of a godamm mountain with allot snow and the closest Forrest is like 20 miles away like why cant they just shut up
4:10 for those who don’t know you can’t feel pain on your actual brain. That’s why it’s possible to do brain surgery’s when the patient is awake in hospitals
