Top 10 Places to Visit At Least Once in Your Life 

We're obviously aware of and deeply concerned about the global pandemic, and are choosing carefully what to publish as forms of escapism and entertainment to help ease thoughts of anxiety, and provide an alternative from the news. We are obviously NOT encouraging anyone to travel now or discouraging social distancing. Are these on your bucket list?

Rome is incredible! I actually enjoyed the Vatican more than the colosseum but you can’t go wrong. We stayed near piazza navona and it is gorgeous

Ultimate Bucket List, just 10 places (before seeing this video): 1) Venice: Venice has to be at the top. It's a place whose reputation can never exceed it, not matter how high. Unlike any other. The lack of vehicles make for a perfect walking experience, almost like a Disneyland for grownups. So many museums and churches it would take you days to experience it all. The Doge's palace is a wonder to behold eclipsing even the likes of Versailles IMHO. The food, the ambience, the tiny nooks and crannies, the open parks, the relics, the glassblowing in Murano... You simply HAVE to visit Venice at least once in your life. No iffs, ands and butts. 2) Rome: When you have two cities on a Top 10 bucket list from one country, you know it's earned. Rome, the eternal city is every bit, if not moreso attractive as Venice, but in addition it carries with it tons of important history from all eras: St. Peter's, The Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, Di Trevi Fountain, so many beautiful squares, so many remnants of the glorious days of the Roman Empire, so many important Churches with historically important works of art. You need two weeks minimum to see it all. 3) Paris: The eternal city, in many ways responsible for modern culture. Versailles, Louvre, Eiffel Tower, L'Arc De Triomphe, Monmartre, Notr Dame are a must, but there is more to Paris than just these attractions. You feel the history as you walk the streets of Paris and the vibrant ambience. Experience the food, the cafe culture, the fashion, the music and the lifestyle at least once in your life. 4) Yellowstone: The lone natural wonder entry on the bucket list. The thing with natural wonders is that on their own they are quite great, but can't compete with the wealth of content a city like, say, Rome brings to the table. All this goes out the window when talking about Yellowstone. Another place whose reputation will never exceed it. The amount of natural wonders in such a small area is insane. The beautiful and gorgeous boiling hot springs couple with breathtaking natural pools and waterfalls and stunning landscapes and wildlife. Absolutely if there should be one National Park on your bucket list it is without a doubt Yellowstone. 5) Bora Bora: Of course there'd be one tropical paradise on this list, and this paradise is Bora Bora. It beats all other the hot spots like Seychelles and Maldives hands down. The location is absolutely iconic and stunning and the Polynesian culture without a doubt also brings something special to the table. It is my ultimate dream to go there. 6) Tokyo: The largest city in the world, no seriously, the city is so absolutely huge that even if it didn't have tons of fascinating and unique stuff it would still take forever to see it all. A city of both the past and the future. A city within a fascinating and unique culture that was basically the only one to successfully play catch-up with the European powers up until the late 20th century. Each area of Tokyo offers something unique: Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, Yokohama harbor, the nightlife of Roppongi, the area around the Meiji Temple, countless Buddhist and Shinto temples, and last but not least the countless crazy and amazing ways western culture was appropriated and given a uniquely Japanese twist. 7) New York: Quite simply iconic. The place where modernity was born, with people living recognizably modern and urban lives, technology nothwistanding, as early as late 19th century. Sure there are plenty of modern skyscrapers you could climb, but Empire State is still one of a kind, and the only one to ever get attacked by a giant ape. Tons of things to see and experience. Statue of Liberty is a given, but so is Ellis Island. Metropolitan and Guggenheim are a must but so is the Museum of Natural History. They even have a giant decomissioned aircraft carrier right there in the harbor as a museum, USA being pretty much the only country in the world which can afford to do so. Tons of unique things you can only find in New York, just ignore the predatory fake tour ogranizers and rats eating sandwiches. 8) Vienna (in winter): There is only one range of candidates for a great Christmas location and that is the German speaking areas, the place where the whole thing kind of originated from. Within here, for many reasons, Vienna emerges as a clear winner. For a city in the German speaking area it is far more open, warm and vibrant than many other cities, which, apart from Berlin, have a tendency to go into slumber as early as 8 pm. No one does the Christmas fair better than Vienna: have yourself a hotdog, a pretzel, some beer, some sweets, some souvenirs and go ice-skating on a windy twisty rink with many paths right through the forested part of a park to complete the unforgettable experience. Oh, and don't forget to visit the tons of amazing museums and palaces they have on display, not to mention attending the traditional New Year's concert. 9) London: Sure it's windy and cloudy, but London is simply London, in many ways, like it or not, the premium city on the planet, the ultimate Alpha++ City. So much history and culture is present it would take me ages to type it all out, but also, the city has tons of modern things to do, like taking a ride on the London Eye. 10) St. Petersburg: Of course we need a representative from Russia, but, sorry Moscow, St. Petersburg edges you out. The place has an insane number of things to visit. Number one is of course the iconic Hermitage Museum, but let's not forget the Fabrege Museum, Peterhof, the Church of the Savior on the Spilled Blood (easily rivalling St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow) and tons of other museums and cathedrals.

I've been to all 10 of these and, while I find this to be an impressive list, there are lots of other sites I've visited that impressed me more. For starters, I was very underwhelmed by the Taj Mahal and wouldn't even rate it in my top 10 list of things to see in India, say nothing about the world. Luckily I saw it in 1988 when there weren't very many tourists there; I've seen videos of recent visits and the crowds would have me running away screaming. Fahtepur Sikri, the Ellora caves, Jaisalmer, the Golden Temple in Amritsar, a backwater boat trip in Kerala, Varanasi, and anything in the Himalaya are just a few of the things I'd recommend in India before the Taj Mahal. The other items on your Top 10 list deserve to be there but other places deserve to be there just as much such as Angkor Wat, Tikal in Guatemala, Iguazu Falls in Brazil, the Amazon, Table Mountain/Cape Town, trekking in Nepal, and the Trans-Siberian railroad are a few of the things that just popped into my head. Oh, New Zealand...anything in New Zealand; what a gorgeous place.

I think should be Rome no just the Colosseum !!

I’ve only been to 2/10 the Colosseum, and the Greek Island (Santorini & Mykonos). But I wish I’ll be able to visit more the amazing destination.

Greece is an amazing place and great people too.

Unpopular opinion, but I think we should discourage people from going to places that already needs saving such as the Great Barrier Reef. People will flock their thus causing more damage.

I visited only three places of the video: Paris, Roma and NY. Another place, Machu Picchu, isn't so far from here (I live in Brazil), but I haven't visited it yet. One day, I will do it. The others places I'd like to know...

I've only been to 2 places. Way to go for me :) But honestly there are a lot more places I want to visit first before instead of some listed on this top.

Most of these would also be on a top 10 places overrun by tourists (pre-2020). Especially #3, I live in NYC I would know!

I'm surprised that New York City is on the list and so high up. I live in New York and from my experience there are a lot of other places that are a lot better than NYC.

Venice and Hawaii should be on this list

If you want to see attention to details, visit the temples of South India too. Tal Mahal is awesome but they are class apart

Fantastic picks. I started the video expecting to see Paris and Muchu Picchu on the list. These are two of my favorite places on earth that everyone should experience at least once. The Pyramids are coming up very soon on my travel list as well!

Clichée list but damn it! That does not mean it is bad. There is a reason why all these locations are chlichée: because they are so amazing in their own way. Worth saving money for.

I've been to 9/10 listed (Haven't been to the Grand Canyon... but really want to, along with Glacier National. Park, and the Giant Redwoods... Utah looks pretty amazing). Of this list Machu Picchu/was my favorite by far. was My top 10 would include: Angkor Wat/Cambodia, Bagan Temples/Myanmar, Chernobyl/Ukraine.

I would have replaced the Grand Canyon with another place that’s in a country that isn’t on a list. I don’t find it fair that a country gets more than one spot on a list because it doesn’t give another country to get their spot on a list. Some other ideas could have been London, Tokyo, Petra, Chichen Itza and I’m sure I can think of many others

You forgot to mention the new grand museum in Giza its like 10 mins from the pyramids . It has an ongoing transfer of the monuments , in a few months its going to be biggest museum in Egypt beside that ,you can actually have a very nice view of the pyramids from the windows

I’ve been to them all except for the Grrat Barrier Reef and I could have skipped visiting half of your list and not been unhappy. No Venice, no Angkor Wat, no Meteora, no Northern Lights, no African wildebeest migration, no Petra, no so many places more beautiful, more impressive . More unique or more exhilarating. Try harder. Stop aiming for the lowest common denominator.
