@@CBarber22 Embiid has scoring gravity, but he primarily operates in the mid range area. he doesnt have LeBron levels of rim pressure on drives nor do defenses need to worry about him 40 feet away from the basket like Steph. think about where they would attract doubles. Steph's range separates him and stretches out the defense more.
@barsbarsbarz not really sure what you're arguing here but Curry does not attract more defensive attention than Embiid in 2024. Not to mention Embiid shot 39% from 3. It isn't 2018.
@@CBarber22what weed you smoking? lol Curry definitely attracts way more attention from the defense Not only with the ball in his hands but off ball movement too and also the fact you have to start the defensive pick up point at damn near half court
As a kings fan definitely Sabonis over fox. But fox play making ability doesn't get tallied into assist due to the fact kings offense is all about that 2nd pass and it's usually Fox makes a play for his teammate and his trammate makes the extra pass vs Sabonis who runs a lot of 2 man game and gets the assist for his dribble hand off.
@Enlightened_SpursFan for the last 5 years in the league he's been his team's primary playmaker and everyone on his team's shooting percentages have gone up when he's the primary playmaker so he definitely deserves more credit
People got to understand playmaking is not just assists, off ball movement, gravity and generating plays for others is important to so Steph should be higher
@@blowc1612 He was 5th in apg in 2022-2023 when he actaully played and draynond said he was one of the smartest current nba players he does more than just run and dunk
No way you didn't say Giannis. Averages 6 assists on elite assists to turnover ratio. If he was put in a Jokic scenario to have the ball more and pass it more as the primary playmaker he's averaged 10 no doubt.
Y’all don’t understand ball and it shows. His off ball movement allows Draymond to pass it to open teammates. It’s been the Warriors system for the last decade lmao.
I get the feeling some of y'all don't know what a playmaker is LOL if I run around the perimeter and they have to all stare at me and Chase me because I'm a a literal layup drill from 27 ft away and that means somebody else is wide open and gets away easier shot, that's a f****** play I made LOL we have tape of this guy running in circles around people with the basketball and shooting absolutely insane shots with folks all over him. That's a hell of a play that only a few can make
@wifi1872 the guy made siakam look like an amazing player and that affect is still going. Him being on the floor . Best player on 2 different teams in 2 years. Point guard player should be respected
@howarddavis9 Toronto were +2.5 points better per 100 possessions on offense and -0.4 on defense with Siakam on the floor. Adjusted for quality on the floor. But people were talking like he was world-class. He didn't make himself look good. While vanvleet was +2.5 +1.1 . I will check this year in 20 mins
@@AstroSully right bro acting like it’s a crazy take. Nobody makes more plays without touching the ball than Steph does. He opens the floor for everyone else. Spaces the court and can still make great passes. And if not #1 then definitely top 3 of all time
@@krisko171 right the mf who averaged 11 apg and lead one of the best offenses in the league and one of the most efficent offenses ever based on the metrics isn't a top 10 playmaker in the current nba. Surely.
@@itsgl00my88 Okay, matter of opinion, and I respect yours. For me, I can name at least 10 people who are better playmakers today, regardless of position they play in. All love, brother. Edit: It's not solely all about metrics or assist either. There are attributes you cannot quantify through numbers and there are quite a few that rank above Haliburton in that way. Again, just my view.
This man could average a triple double on elite efficiency and still be hated for some reason. He averages a double double on the season and 8.5 assists.
