The Museum was a nightmare and the Pokemoncenter.com release as well. I should have been able to get in on the second round, but was working and missed it. Such is life, but like you, I won't pay these crazy prices, I can just live without it.
Great list. I would definitely have the ninetales from obsidian flames in there as well. It looks amazing and the fact you can get it for $10 or less is insane
Great pokemon and card, and I thought a lot about the IR's in general, but couldn't see them fitting in the top 10 for my personal list. At this time the demand for them is low and supply high. We'll see how they go over the next couple years. Happy New Year!
Some of my favorites are my halo flareon and jolteon from obsidian flames cause I loved this back in the day in the base set the base set jolteon is the winner

I'm surprised neither Magikarp nor Ninetails made your list or honourable mentions, both are in mine with Magicarp taking my top spot for 2023. Completely agree re Felt Hat. Would have been my number 2 card but didn't make my top 10 based on the way in which people are trying to get so much money for it along with the complete failure from the pokemon company on it's release. I think and hope there will almost certainly be a reprint in 2024. Gardevoir is a great edition which is made even more special when you take into consideration the story line created with the evolution cards two. I put all three in a spot as a set. Thanks! I love the Magikarp especially, but didn't pick it due to it's already inflated price. If it drops, for sure would be an instant pickup. Ninetails is a great card, but just didn't make my top 10. Love that gardevoir and I still need to pick up ralts and kirlia, never pulled them. Still time though. Apparently there are a lot of the Pikachu grey felt hats in circulation so hopefully it will eventually be a good price for you. At least the PSA 10 may not be more expensive than a raw.

If were counting crown zenith, you should basically pick up any textured GG cards under $10-15. Hoopla unbound, Darkrai, Melony (a literal waifu), all so good.
Ya, I didn't really convey well that I was discussing only S&V sets. If I included CZ, many of my picks would have been from that set,. Leafeon and Zoroark near the top for me, Suicune too. Happy New Year!
Anyone else think nidoking illustration rare in 151 only being $8.12 is low he was one of the most nostalgic pokemon in the games you can get him early on and destroy anything and the famous level 100 nidoking before brock glitch

I was thinking purely S&V, but you're right Crown Zenith did release in Jan and I could have included that. Most of the list would have been crown zenith then, lol.

I was focusing on SV1+, and in my attempt to make unscripted videos I did not state that clearly. If I included Crown Zenith, it probably would have been like 8 of the top 10 cards. 😃 I've been deep thinking last couple days, would you rank Crown Zenith higher then 151 as far as sets go? I'm leaning CZ as tops, it just has so much, it's such a fitting honor to SW&SH and so fun to rip. Happy New Year!
@@PokemonFamClubI was actually thinking about this recently myself, with the end of 2023 bringing about a bunch of videos from Poketubers ripping great modern sets and I think CZ just may be the best holiday/specialty set Pokémon has ever released. The back half of the Galarian Gallery is just so, so good. It's definitely way more fun to rip than 151. 151 is a bit punishing in my experience. It kinda does have that ES risk/reward vibe to it, tho.
Can't say what I was thinking back then, but you're right, came out in 2024; probably just from talking about it so much before xmas I thought it was a 2023 card.
True, I was focusing on English SV1+ only, but certainly master ball holos are great pick ups, some stuff from shiny treasure, as well as a ton of cards from Crown Zenith.
I don't think that was my justification at all, the picks were based on cards I felt will be the most long term collectables that are undervalued right now.
I really like my Van Gogh pikachu but why so expensive. I own one and done. I really liked the 151 gio sir and is way to cheap for what looks like. I been waiting to see if paradox rift sir will dip since alot the others from paldea evolved are crashing hard now. Dendra sir is under $10 is crazy dumb.
Ya, just pure supply and demand, you can see people are buying them left and right on ebay, daily, for $135+. Most people that pay that much won't let them go, reducing the supply even more. There are not a ton of PR SIR's listed on tcgplayer, which shows how hard they are to pull. I would love to see them dip more, but other then Roaring moon and Iron Valiant, they're pretty low now. Only about 50 of each listed there of those two. Happy New Year!
