TheNomdeguerre when was yours made? Just curious. I’ve never put mine on a Lyman gauge but man it feels great. So maybe there were some differences between batches made idk
TheNomdeguerre plus I like to carry and use my firearms. All of them. So I really don’t like light triggers. As long as it’s smooth and has a clean let off I’m good. It doesn’t have to be 3 pounds for me. I’m weird though. But my P10c has a great striker trigger and I’m a 1911 kind of guy of that tells you anything
CZ P-07 is a beast. Throw a CZ customs base pad on there and it’s really a beauty. They claim you can get 20 in the mag afterwards, but I can only fit 18. Either way I’m happy with it!
@@FightForFreedom1776 Can't get anything out of the US anymore, but my P07 came with two plastic +2 mag base plates. Used to be a good client of CZC, they've got good, beautifully machined stuff.
xithappens oh sorry didn’t realize you weren’t in the states. But yeah I got the +2’s with mine also. I have one +2 and then the one with the CZ customs base pad. It’s more for looks tho. I can fit the same amount of rounds with CZC pad (even they claim it can hold 20) and the mag no longer drops freely.
Thanks for all you do and bring to us KS!!! I'm sure the uniqueness of some of those firearms beat out the CZ P10C and the Canik tp9sf elite. Out the box the Canik trigger will beat most in this top 10.
Yeah, the P10 definitely deserved an honorable mention if nothing else. I like the texture but hear where you are coming from. Thank you and cheers Alexander!
Great list. P10c would be on my list and the x5 legion wouldve been higher.. but great list.. cant really complain bout it.. and top anything is subjective anyway. Loved the video!
@Francis Drake There’s some kind of lunacy going around the RU-vid gun community. Humblemarksman has succumbed to it and it’s now spreading. Very scary. Glad I’m living in an entirely different country, but if this virus keeps spreading, I’m holing up in the hills until it all blows over.
@Ramon Benitez Yeah, I’m with you. What’s up with that? I don’t have the P10C but I have the P10F and the P09. I think KS has been spending too much time with Humblemarksman and whatever illness Humblemarksman succumbed to, KS has now got it. To pick a Glock over a CZ? Very sad. Maybe he’s just trying to be con-tro-ver-shall. If not,....RIP KS.
This is a weird list... The P10 series has arguably the best triggers on the market along with the PPQ. The Glocks I understand but the Archon? The aftermarket for parts, holsters, etc... should've knocked it off the list. And also.. no vp9?
@Larry Reed There is some sort of weird “illness” happening with Humblemarksman and KS. If it starts to develop into a plague, it’s a consiparcy. It’ll all blow over soon enough.
@@cosmolinefiend9853 I shot both today. Because I own both. I prefer the G2c. I know, rare that someone doesn't value pricetag over preference but welcome to the world of honest opinion over elitist mentality. I also work in IT, you'll never catch me saying Apple is better cause it's more expensive. It's not. I own both and Apple is not superior in any way - it's preference that matters. I like Linux and the G2c. No matter how much you whine, your opinion doesn't change my preference. I also like my Canik far more than my Taurus AND P10C. Don't presume to know me just because your manbun dictates your taste in firearms. Some of us don't follow the hot trends. I gave it a shot and frankly it'll soon be up for sale. Maybe replaced by a Hi-Point. I haven't yet decided.
@Shaz arad He caught that same virus that hit Humblemarkmans, be afraid, be very afraid. If possible, stock your bunker with as many CZ’s as you can get in there, prepared 1 month’s worth of food and supplies (that’s all it’ll take for this plague to blow over) hole yourself up in there and come out after 30 days, it’ll all be back to normal.
I would have had the HK VP9 somewhere in there probably around #3 spot. Fantastic guns but like any other not for everyone. The one I probably would have omitted to fit the VP9 on there is likely the Styer, but that's also because I have no hands on experience with their pistols.
@@fgtypezero0684 Why? I've owned a Taurus G2C for abit over a year now with 5500 rounds thru it. I've had 2 stove pipes in that time, and a couple small issues with the magazines. But the pistol has ran fine. I actually bought the G2C because of all the issues the P365 was having out the gate.
Ty J I stated I omit Taurus from any top ten lists...that means best and worse. IMO Taurus should not have been on this list, but there are a lot of guns that shouldn’t be on this list. Taurus is a middle of the road firearm.
@@fgtypezero0684 Generally I'd agree especailly with the Judge, the Raging Bulls, but the G2C as a Subcompact 9mm polymer pistol is actual a great one. It's one of the rare times with the company they've made a absolute fantastic gun that almost rivals my G26. Honestly I never thought in a million years I'd actually argue in favor of ANY Taurus, but results evenly across the board doesnt lie hell even James Yeager likes the G2C. It's hard to impress that Glock fanboy.
Recently subscribed and I have to say that I’m really enjoying your video archive. Thorough presentation, clear enunciation, palatable content, camera that stays in focus and overall good channel. Looking forward to your future videos. Keep up the good work my friend.
I often wonder why the Bersa BP9cc is never on anyone’s lists. 2 8 round mags. It actually came out in 2012 and it’s an absolutely wonderful weapon. It might have the best trigger of all single stack firearms. I have about a thousand rounds through mine and haven’t had so much as a hiccup. Definitely worth picking up if you haven’t.
Love all the comments suggesting other guns. We are in a fantastic time period where there are lots of ten best of any kind of gun or caliber! I started shooting when revolvers and GI type 1911s were about it. They were high priced by todays standard. I love metal guns like my CZ, Beretta 92 etc BUT our go to travel, bed stand, etc is the only polymer we own-Glock 19 Gen 3 with night sights.
im in love with my sig p320s, nothing better to me, m17 is everything thing in a gun that u could ask for. the xfive super sexy, but i cant shoot it like the m17. m17 number oneto me since u were being specific.
Hey KS, great video, Kansas City guy here myself. I am trying to decide between a Faxon FX-19 Patriot or FN 509T, was wondering what your recommendation would be between the two. Also i have smaller hands if thats helps at all. Thanks again
Probably one of the best top 10 list I have ever seen! Pretty much nailed it. Even though I'm not a G-26 guy. P 10 C would be an Honorable mention.......
Very good list, very well thought out. My number 1 would've been the X5 Legion. I love the X5 even more with the Tungsten modular grip. The PPQ 45 is a good choice because it's in 45acp. Again nice job on the list!
The PX4 is one of my favorites. Oh well. It's a big market so you could probably make a top 100. Top 10 lists are a surefire way to get people to argue with you. This has the highest comment count on one of your new videos that I've seen.
Love the PX4. I don't own one but I love shooting one whenever I could get my hands on one. You barely have any muzzle flip on it, it's such a flat shooting pistol (maybe even more than my CZ 75) and the trigger is great. I'm surprise we don't have more guns with a rotating barrel.
The 19 is reliable, accurate and a good #1 choice .... Unlike the "old days", when the competition wasn't as brisk as it is now, a person has many choices and at various price points. Just because a weapon costs more doesn't make it better! .... The G2C is a great choice for the money. .... Canik is making some nice stuff, check out their TP9 SF Elite Combat Executive.
I could offer several variations on any top ten list, but all of them would include the CZ P-10c and the Walther PPQ. The Taurus, while a surprisingly decent quality firearm, would not make any top ten list unless that list was focused on the top ten least expensive weapons.
Cory Rubino Put an x-compact frame on your RX...you’ll thank me later. Because the rail is shorter than the regular compact my olight pl mini didn’t fit it...so keep that in mind
Texas Ghost It’s a better frame for me. My pl mini didn’t work out but my pl mini 2 works just fine. I’m guessing yo were being sarcastic but to what end?
Really like my m9 A2 it’s my new carry gun replacing my Hellcat, I never would have thought to change because I love my Hellcat. It’s so easy to conceal and though it is quite snappy I can shoot it well enough for most common self defense situations. The Steyr is a game changer for me it fells awesome in my hand and mitigates recoil better than most polymer guns. It has a low bore axis and is a flat and accurate shooter
It's funny to see how the term "fanboy" is thrown around. "Not including the HK VP9 makes this list illegitimate" statement also seems to be very "fanboy-ish" if we are using the same logic. Just a thought.
Good video review. I did carry the Shield but for the past 1.5 years I switched to the Glock 19 G5 and have been training and carrying the G19 exclusively and absolutely love it. I’m not a Glock fan boy but I have gotten used to it and I can conceal it well with a Vetter holster. Thanks for your video content.
I agree with a lot of the cast members, but maybe not your arrangement. I do agree with the G19 being high up on the list and I’d carry a G19 long before a 26, same with the M&P Conpact 4” over the 3.6” because they are virtually the same to conceal and that much more capable. I have a M&P 9c and the Compact 4”. Same deal. I have a Steyr M9A1 and feel you gypt it. Also that is the only gun I’ve ever felt that had a grip with finger grooves that were done right and didn’t feel awkward. But that is just my opinion. Also, I haven’t seen an Archon Type B. I’d keep hard to find guns off the list too. I’ve never seen onein the shop... but to be fair I looked a long time for an M9 before I found one.
Personally too Sig heavy, I would have put at minimum one CZ on the list, especially the P10c and probably a p-07/p-09 too. Keep the legion, but drop the other 320, and that’s the perfect spot for a CZ. Otherwise pretty awesome list. Great video!
The Sig P365 is a game changer in EDC should be higher on the list and P320 Xcompact is great fun. CZ should of been somewhere on the list definitely though. Love CZ
Robert Buchanan I couldn’t agree more with the 365, just wish it would’ve had less issues out the gate(that’s the only thing that has me on the fence). But since the legion and the Xcompact are essentially the same gun/platform, I’d wish we would’ve seen one of the CZ offerings. I’m still dying to shoot some of the new sigs, along with a few others on and off the list!!
Chances Are I would of taken off the Legion to me it’s a range gun. My thoughts are geared toward EDC. CZ is awesome as soon as I find a CZ P10S it will be mine!!! Yes it will be MINE!!!
I like you’re list but the Sig Sauer p320 would’ve been my #1 pick.. The bang for its buck you nailed it with Taurus g2c it’s a great pistol for 200.00 bucks and sometimes you can pick them up for 185.00!!!! Good video
@@JustinGoldsmith I have held the G2C. In fact, I have owned two Taurus semi autos (99AF and Millennium PT111 Pro), both of which had performance issues. I sent my Millenium back with the safety recall. I am not going to own a gun with issues, let alone carry one! Not everyone who has handled them is as in love with them as you are or believe. Have you seen CarryTrainer's review? Yikes! And there are others like that, if you are objective enough to watch, which I highly doubt you are based on your response. So yeah, I would drop the Taurus for a Walther every time. You get what you pay for, and while the quality of the Taurus may be better than a High Point, it's not in the ballpark of a Walther. Also, I am not your bruh, nor do I want to be, so please go troll and be ignorant somewhere else. Thanks.
@@BJJBCinelli CarryTrainer? Oh yeah. That guy like some other gun channels that really lets his gun prejudice show even inventing problems with guns that don't exist that he doesn't like rather than using merit and pros and cons. No objectivity whatsoever. Real class act. His credibility is right out the window. Both Taurus and Walther have good pistols that are accurate and reliable and yes the Walther is better quality and you do pay more. My G2c has no problems after over 600 rounds of various ammo so don't try to sell me that its a bad pistol that doesn't run.
Good list. All great choices and everyone has their own preferences. It’s so hard for me to come up with a top 10. There are so many great choices. I believe we are living in the glory days of firearms in America. Never before have we had so many great firearms to choose from at such really great prices. As always, I appreciate your work 👍
I can't even come up with ten polymer carry firearms I like for a top ten list, but my top seven would likely be the following (note: I haven't shot the new P365 XL yet): 7. Glock 45 MOS with a striker control device (carried AIWB), 6. SIG P365 XL (I much prefer its ergonomics over the P365), 5. Ruger LCP II (as there is something to be said about a trigger this good on a pistol you can sneak in virtually anywhere), 4. Smith & Wesson M&P 9 M2.0 3.6" Compact*, 3. Glock 26 (especially Gens 4 or 5 carried at 2;30 to 4:30)* , 2. Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9 M2.0 (stock, upgraded, or Performance Center)*, and Wait for it.... Wait for it... Wait for it... Wait for it... Wait for it... 1. Beretta PX4 Storm Compact Inox with a stipple job, cerakote, and all the upgrades available from Beretta (without the upgrades, it wouldn't even make a top ten list for me because of the lack of grip texture [and I don't like Talon Grips] and the excessively large controls). * Numbers 1, 2 & 3 are interchangeable depending on the needs of the shooter. The #1 carry pistol of any material, of course, is the SIG P229 Legion or Elite series (with the right grips and other mods)
While Glocks may be good pistols, the odd wrong grip angle is its biggest problem. Other pistols are pointable while a Glock is not. If Glock made a pointable pistol then you have my attention. But I would not give it top pick because of that. It does not do anything special that any other pistol can't do. I would put SIG and Smith closer to the top in your list simply because of their better control features, triggers, ergos, and size comparisons. But you also don't have any Walthers, Caniks, FNs, and so on, in the top 10.
Top 3...FN 509, P10C, Sig P320 X-Compact...Sig strong..3 of 10 on the list...it’s Sig and then everything else 😉..Shoot that P320 X-Compact and you won’t pick up a G19 again..and that coming from someone who owns both
Durhamite77 I have a g19(1) and a p320rx with a x-compact frame(6). Both are quality guns and neither is remarkably better than the other. However, IMO, the g19 is a better firearm. I totally understand the reasoning why someone is prefer the sig though.
If they hold up in a HMMV in the desert, I dont think we have to worry here. I don't own a polymer right now, but I will soon. Just can't decide which.
The first Glock I shot was a friends G17 , great gun , more accurate the SIG P226 I had at the time , more accurate than the G19 I have now . No diss to the G19 , a great gun also ! Thanks ! BTW , the SIG M11-A1 I have now is more accurate than the Glock 19 I have . I love them both !!
In general, I do not like Glocks. However, because of the reliability and easy access to parts, the Glock 19 is the one firearm I would depend on when things go bad. Thanks for a very informative and entertaining video.
Notice the difference between the P3 20 in the P3 65XL with the flat trigger that has absolutely no room in front of the trigger although it is a flat trigger. Don’t like the 365XL
Thanks for letting me see your favorites in your collection. I see a lot of upset people because their favorite hand gun(or brand) didn’t make it. Different strokes for different folks ppl! Personally I would like to give the Archon a try but it’s a bit pricey. The Styers also might be worth a try. CZ P07 and Beretta PX4 are two of my favs.
Been shooting the P10c and P07 - really surprised as most (below) they are not listed. Curious if you can list reasons etc. - or if you had some bad experience.
I’m more shocked that the USP or Mark 23 isn’t in this list. The Mark 23 is the greatest polymer framed handgun that man has created. The USP is close. But KS isn’t into the combat pistols as much as self defense pistols.
KSGunGuy You may not care for them. They have heavy combat triggers. They’re made 100% to go to war. Where they shine is the build quality, durability and reliability. The Mark 23 was tested by SOCOM with 30,000 rounds of +P 45 with 80,000 rounds between malfunctions. The Mark 23 and USP line in general are absolute tanks.
Banshee365 the Mark 23 and USP are great guns. But u r right, more people are interested in self defense pistols than combat style pistols. Thats why I am shocked that the vp9 isn’t on this list. Especially over the s&w. Any s&w. Oh well. To each his own.
