Alpine bouldering in the desert?! That doesn’t seem possible, unless you are at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. For over fifty years the tram has brought tourists back and forth from the steamy desert floor to the cool alpine heights. Since 2001, it has introduced the largest of only three rotating tramcars in the world! Now climbers can enjoy the amazing juxtaposition of a wonderland of towering conifers and ancient granite boulders! This KAYA PRO guidebook is here to help you find the boulder and the beta! With GPS for every single problem, topo lines, descriptions, trail mapping, and hundreds of user-uploaded beta videos all available offline, the Tramway bouldering guide is a must!

@@kayaclimbing I was wondering; as a few of those trailside boulders had been climbed before I first climbed there in the very early 80s.

That's awesome that you've been in the area for so long! @@craigbritton1089

What is interesting is that until Sharma went there it was very difficult to get climbers to go there. Bridwell of course came; and did some routes ( as did Cameron Robbins and I) which were chopped by The Rangers.
