Oh my God thank you! Thank you so much for giving Daphne the spotlight she rightfully deserves. I don’t know why she’s so underrated because she looks like a gorgeous freakin mermaid! I was pretty obsessed with rainbow high before she came out, but when she did, oh you better believe she and all her series 3 companions were in my cart. She’s pretty much the whole reason I started serious collecting rainbow high.
🤣 I'm so happy that I'm not the only one who had their rainbow high awakening with Daphne. She's such an icon. I tried to buy doubles of her recently and I couldn't find her at a reasonable price anymore. 🙃
MGA wanted to grab the copyright to Shadow High before Mattel did. Back in Monster high G1 there was a copyright planned for a Shadow High and it was meant to be a crossover with Ever After High. So MGA taking it and pumping it out right after Monster High's G3 release was absolutely intended to be direct competition with Mattel so that they can't use it anymore.
@@dollthighs There's actually a book called the Legend of Shadow High and it was a crossover of MH and EAH and Mattel had the TM for a movie for it but because EAH was discontinued after issues with Disney and MH G1 was discontinued they lost the TM for Shadow High, leaving it up for grabs for MGA to take it for their doll line. Doll company drama is a rabbit hole and it's kind of entertaining.

I put my Delilah in her second shoes too! I hate anything country & western. I was a doll collector in the early 2000's but dropped off around 2010 or so from burnout. Shanelle and Natasha got me back into it. I had never seen Rainbow High at all, let alone grayscale. Walmart had them on sale and I was blown away by the inset eyes, the quality hair, and the articulation.
I understand the favorite being your 1st RH doll. I just got Kim a few months ago & now I've bought a few more. But she'll always be my favorite. I also didn't really care for RH in the past, but now I'm addicted!
I have a small-ish RH/SH collection and I think I have all of the ones in your list except Lily Chang. And Daphne's color scheme is so good! Also, the Storm Twins FTW! 🤩
Lily Cheng is an icon. I still love her. She's the only RH doll I have where I actually have one of the numbered editions. I just happened to be on Amazon when she released in the middle of the night. 🤣

hugely agree with what you said about the storm twins being the embodiment of shadow high, as a "goth" myself I was really excited to have a whole line of alternative styled, high quality fashion dolls and S1 of shadow high started off strong! and then S2 happened and... all the alternative style has just gone out the window. S2 shadow high just looks so random. none of them look good together besides Glitch and Rexx and that's just because both of their colours are primarily black. Zooey is the only S2 one I got cus I love sci-fi, I painted the whites of her eyes black so she looks more alien too, but even she doesn't fit in with my "goth" dolls
I totally agree. I wish they would have stuck more with the goth theme. But I think they're trying to be as close to Monster High as possible without getting sued. 🤣 but I much prefer the gothy shadow high looks to anything monster high is doing right now.

I'm only collecting the "debut look" G3 MH dolls, not enough of the other lines designs have really grabbed me and being in the UK, I basically don't even have access to any lines besides the first wave since mattel just never tells anyone outside of the US when things are releasing, not that they even tell US customers *looks at people randomly finding "unreleased" lines randomly in stores, and then mattel announces them on social media months after*
Loved your Top 10! It would be so hard for me to choose but I think 🤔 I would choose Lilly Cheng as my #1! She was the only doll from my collection that I took to San Francisco on my 30th wedding anniversary! She’s so beautiful and she looks like me!
Your top 10 are super great dolls. I was glad to see you not separate Naomi and Veronica Storm. In actuality, none have a prettier face than Daphne, so I approve.

Yay Mintie RULEZ! Ha ha she was also my first RH doll and before her I thought they looked weird, then I fell in love! Her hair in sunlight GLOWS like radioactive, she has freckles, and pants, and I love green, she's like the personification of the month of MAY. Like elemental. Someone styled her as the Statue of Liberty! She's too much. Thank you! These are such great dolls, and to think I got the RH Fashion Closet to raid for Barbie without a thought... I did a complete 180!

Delilah Fields: kinda looks like kindergarten me; nice yellow makes me happy; I‘ve always wanted normal glasses and not just sunglasses in a doll line and she brings them + they’re beautiful; she has a top + skirt under her dress so technically 3 outfits -> money worthy; she has albinism and me not but my skin is still as light as hers; sooooooo adorable 🥰💛💖 2. Priscilla Perez: she brings glamour + shiny but not cheap looking pink; I love rhinestons; love her outfit; love everything; gives me a confident vibe + gave me a sleepless night last night because I had soooo many outfit ideas 3. Victoria Whitman: it was hard to decide between her and Priscilla but I had to; she‘s adorable; love her hair color in combination with outfit+color; also very many outfit ideas; love her freckles; she looks like my mom but with longer hair 4. Ainsley Slater: she looks so mysterious with that deep purple and black; love her kinda cool style; love her holo-like shoes; nice face; love the outfits 5. Paris Hilton: love the difference between hair and dress color; looks like me; dog; amazing 2nd outfit but rather boring 1st outfit; hair rooting is meh; ridiculously expensive 6. Emi Vanda: similar to Ainsley 7. Minnie Choi: rose; adorable face; love the pearls; like her hair 8. Gabriella Icely: love her pullover; interesting boots; I like her hair clips 9. Sheryl Meyer: yellow makes me happy again; we see brown eyes; I like that headband 10. Winter Break Violet Willow: I don’t like her bangs in her S1 version (I just don’t like those bangs for dolls in general); but this one looks fine; nice clothes; but her in her S1 outfit would look great I think; I love that cold light purple and the warmer almost-pink-mix. And my favourite SH dolls are Natasha Zima, Eliza McFee, Lola Wilde and Shanelle Onyx (no specific order).
Same story with me in regards to Daphne. I collected all of the og monster high dolls when I was like 9 but got rid of a lot of them to try to "grow up". I always liked dolls though and kept up with them. I walked down the toy aisle and saw Daphne and literally gasped but didn't grab her because I told myself I couldn't for whatever reason. Long story short I got hella rainbow high series 4 on Black Friday last year and have started collecting them since. Of course Daphne is like $60+ now everywhere you look but I can totally see why lol. She's so pretty and I can't wait to find a decent priced one to add her to my little plastic woman collection

This is the first Rainbow high ranking that I (mostly) agree with! That is why I watch Doll Thighs 😆 good taste! I own almost all of the dolls on this list and love them. My top 5 Rainbow: Delilah Fields, Victoria Whitman, Sabrina St. Cloud, Daphne Minton, and costume ball Bella. Top 5 Shadow: Eliza McFee, Shanelle Onyx, Natasha Zima, Karla Choupette, and Zoey Electra.

That is an awesome list. Each of those dolls is so pretty and unique. It's difficult to choose only 10 for a top 10, especially now that series 5 has just dropped and added 6 new characters into the mix. I'm not sure I could make a top 10 right now.
I don't have a lot, but my too 3 in my mini collection is Shanelle, Georgia and Delilah. My dreamies tho are the Storm Twins, Lily, Monique and Zooey! I hope I can get them one day
I recently got Coco from series 4. From the promo photos she was not my favourite, but seeing her in person…I really love that saturated blue with her skin tone
Daphne was my first RH doll. Like I knew about these dolls but her new face mold blew me away. Not to mention I love mint, although I don’t really like her clothes. Still amazing doll!
9:49 Omg- YES!! A pretty Robin was SO hard to find where I am as well! D: Now, I didn't look crazy hard...but I kinda' did, lol. I went to three flippen' Walmarts and finally found one that didn't have any face defects. The trade off? Her hair was jacked (but fixable) and when I opened her I was surprised with a missing heel on one of her shoes, lol. Ugh. I didn't return her because I wasn't about to go look for another and maybe not find a pretty faced one. Boooo. They need better quality control with their Walmart collabs.
My top ten favorite SH/RH dolls are 1. Veronica Storm, 2. Naomi Storm, 3. Demi Batista, 4. Heather Grayson, 5. Emi Vanda, 6. Ainsley Slater, 7. Shanelle Onyx, 8. Uma Vanhoose, 9. Mila Berrymore, and 10. Laurel Devious. For a long time, Emi was my favorite, but ever since the Storm Twins were first revealed in the RH webisodes, and especially after their promo pics were revealed, I was in love with their character design, and they had basically stolen and conquered my heart ever since I first saw them. Now, they hold the very special and unique role in my collection of being my personal comfort dolls, are considered my personal doll daughters, are banned from getting fully restyled because they are so aestheticly perfect to me, and they have not let me down since! I even have a mint in box set of them beautifully displayed on my bookshelf because I love them so much! The twin with the fur coat and the iridescent thigh-high boots is Naomi, and Veronica is the one with the ponytails and the headband, by the way.

For me number 5 should be Number 1.Those stunning hair and the beautiful gown still the show for me.But your number 1 has a beautiful face to be honest.
That's the one I want when I see her on clearance. Demi looks too much like Veronica going to a costume party plus she always seems to have jacked up bangs.
Shannel's dress looks better on Nicole paired with her curly pigtails it really shows off how sweet looking she is compared with the other Shadow High dolls. I got Nicole mainly because I knew she would look good in the dress. Deliah and Georgia are my favorites. I would like Daphne more if her outfits were better.
Yeah, I knew the fashionistas did a lot of stuff first. But rainbow high is the only doll like creating named characters that are albino, or have vigilaigo, etc. I don't usually consider fashionistas as much because they're just numbered unnamed dolls. But I definitely mentioned fashionistas when I talked about Jewel Richie.
