I had the Futurama game on my Amazon wishlist for the longest time at a reasonable price, but didn’t buy it due to the negative reviews. Now I regret it
Just googled Futurama and found it relatively cheap thinking I’ve hit gold. But apparently the PAL version is so much cheaper it’s strange 😂 it’s like 11 bucks.
I've got Obscure, Silent Hill Shattered Memolries, Haunting Ground, Xenosaga 3, and Rule of Rose. I was buying PS1 and PS2 games when no one wanted them. I got some bangers dirt cheap. I paid $7 for Obscure. I got it black Friday. My local game store had a sale 50%. It was normally priced at $14. I paid $40 for Shattered Memories. Even back then it was still kinda pricy. I paid $70 for Haunting Ground. I got all 3 Xenosaga games for $40. Rule of Rose I paid $100 for. It was starting to skyrocket so I figured I'd better get it. I had a chance to buy Kuon for $70 but I didn't buy it. It was a lot of fun collecting back then.
I paid £60 for Rule of Rose about a year after it was banned and thought that was expensive. I finally completed it in 2020 and really enjoyed it. Haunting ground I got for £20 from Game back when we had proper game shops. Wish I’d bought Kuon back then as it was in the 2 games for £25 offer at Game when nobody was interested in PS2 anymore.
@@simpgang7859 When it comes to collecting when everybody went right I went left. I always collected what was cheap at the time. I still buy retro stuff here and there but for the most part I have more games then I could play in 10 lifetimes. I'm pretty content with what I have.
Nice video, though I wouldn't include collector's editions or store exclusives, that isn't a fair evaluation. Nice to know the PS2s most expensive games are still affordable, not in the thousands like NES
This is how the list would look like if you exclude the box variants, in case you were wondering. :) Kuon Rule of Rose Haunting Ground Blood Will Tell Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Futurama Obscure .hack Quarantine Xenosaga 3 Rock Band 2 Bundle
Like I said in the intro, these are CIB prices for North American releases. If I were doing a PS2 PAL top 10 list it would look completely different. :)
The rarest PS2 games I've got are all three Fatal Frame titles and all of the Armored Core 2 & 3 games including their spinoffs. These days, the AC games in particular are getting really difficult to track down in the wild at all let alone CIB. The Fatal Frame titles aren't too hard to find, but they are PS2 horror games so, naturally, people scoop them up pretty quick. I got ALL of these games before 2020 so they weren't nearly as pricey to buy as they are now. I consider myself lucky for that, now if only I could have gotten more of the horror games like Haunting Ground, Echo Night, Rule of Rose and Kuon... :(
Dude. Back in the 2000's I was gonna get all the AC games just cause I just enjoyed them so much. Ended up only buying Nexus and Last Raven. Wish I had that entire PS2 AC collection lol.
